RDX Works is hiring a
Remote Senior Fullstack Developer

What is the job?

Would you love to research deep into technical problems with the end goal of devising creative solutions and building complex APIs & SDKs from scratch?

You will be responsible for taking Figma prototypes & pre-defined network APIs to build and maintain web applications that interact with our brand new mobile wallet, backend infrastructure to connect web and mobile experiences, and SDKs and technologies that developers will use to create their own web applications that interact with our mobile app.

You will help define the way forward for DeFi as an industry; when it comes to deciding new paradigms for user experiences, authentication models, interoperability expectations, and the entire concept of user accounts whilst working at the very cutting edge of a space undergoing furious growth.

RDX Works is seeking a savvy full-stack development expert to join our Core Applications team to help build the tools that will define the future of decentralized finance (DeFi) and Web3.0 user experience.

What are we looking for?

  • Youโ€™re a confident coder who likes to work at the user interface level, and you have built public-facing websites or applications in Typescript in the past.
  • Youโ€™re a generalist, and have experience building REST services and/or WebSocket backends.
  • You are a researcher and enjoy requirements engineering for SDK development.
  • You like to actively shape designs and play with ideas as you build, and are comfortable iterating until it feels just right.
  • You must also be able to isolate the 90% case for user experiences & in doing so, you can think in terms of making the most common interactions effortless, rather than making anything possible.
  • You could be a great fit if our company values resonate with you - Ask for help, Get shit done. Be excellent to each other. Take the initiative, Youโ€™ve got this. Do the right thing, not the easy thing. Strong opinions, loosely held.

What do you need?

  • You have demonstrable experience as a full-stack developer using TypeScript & NodeJS.
  • You are comfortable using frontend frameworks such as React, Vue or Angular. (we are actually using Svelte!)
  • You have worked with & developed SDKs.
  • You are at home wrangling complex APIs (ideally WebRTC, WebAuthn, etc).
  • You enjoy taking a research-focused approach and requirements gathering.
  • You enjoy working in a multidisciplinary team with mobile engineers.

Who are we?

At RDX Works, we're a team of like-minded thinkers who have long been convinced that we're living in the earliest stages of a global financial revolution. This revolution is being fuelled by decentralized finance (or DeFi for short), which is enabling an assortment of pioneering developers and entrepreneurs to re-invent almost every financial product that is currently traded and invested in traditional markets, without requiring central authorities or siloed infrastructure. DeFi has captured a great deal of attention and investment in the crypto-aware niche, growing assets under management from $1 billion to over $200 billion in a few years. Impressive as its growth has been, its current market size isn't even a rounding error on the over $400 trillion held in traditional finance. We're focused on what it will take to go from billions to trillions.

RDX went back to first principles to come up with the right technical solutionโ€”the first layer-one protocol built specifically for mainstream DeFiโ€”and we have already tested out at over 1 million transactions per second. We're keenly aware that the need for an infinitely scalable platform is only one prerequisite among many for mass adoption, and we're also blazing new ground in the areas of purpose-built developer tools, user experiences, and regulatory integration.

We have forged a path deep into the future of what distributed ledger technology is going to look like and we need you to come and be part of the team that is making that happen right now.

If this job sounds like it was made for you, then please apply directly via the link or email [email protected]works for more information.

Check out our company benefits here -ย RDX Works Benefits

Alternatively, if you feel like you donโ€™t match all of the requirements, we would love you to still apply anyway. We understand that confidence gaps and imposter syndrome can get in the way of meeting incredible candidates and we wouldnโ€™t want this to prevent us from meeting you; especially as we are big advocates of helping people learn & grow. This is also another reason we do not advertise salaries, we want to keep it as even a playing field as possible!

Please mention the word HANDSOME when applying to show you read the job post completely (#RNDQuMjAwLjEzNy42Mw==). This is a feature to avoid fake spam applicants. Companies can search these words to find applicants that read this and instantly see they're human.

The Graph is hiring a
Remote Subgraph Developer

\n\nThe Graph is an indexing protocol for querying networks like Ethereum and IPFS. Anyone can build and publish open APIs, called subgraphs, making data easily accessible. Web3 is a new stack for a radically better internet. All data is stored and processed on open networks with verifiable integrity. The Graph makes querying this data fast, reliable, and secure. By combining web3 protocols, developers can build dapps with powerful new features for solving the world's greatest challenges.\n\nThe Graph Foundation is committed to supporting the long-term health and growth of The Graph ecosystem. We help interested parties engage with the community.\n\nWe are looking for experienced and highly motivated Subgraph Developers that want to help partners within The Graph ecosystem build and maintain subgraphs for their respective projects. When opportunities come available, we will help make the introduction. Subgraph developers should have experience building subgraphs in some capacity whether it be for personal or professional projects.\n\nWhat Youโ€™ll Be Doing:\n\n\n* Developing, testing, deploying, publishing and maintaining high quality subgraphs\n\n* Defining what data will be indexed from the blockchain and how it will be stored and made available via the API layer\n\n* Advocating for The Graph\n\n\n\n\nWhat We Expect:\n\n\n* General understanding of blockchain technology, especially Ethereum/EVM based ones, Solidity, etc.\n\n* Knowledge in AssemblyScript/TypeScript/GraphQL\n\n* Previous experience building subgraphs\n\n\n\n\nAbout the Graph:\n\nThe Graph is the indexing and query layer of web3. The Graph Networkโ€™s self service experience for developers launched in July 2021. Developers build and publish open APIs, called subgraphs, that applications can query using GraphQL. The Graph supports indexing data from multiple different networks including Ethereum, NEAR, Arbitrium, Optimism, Polygon, Avalanche, Celo, Fantom, Moonbeam, IPFS, and PoA with more networks coming soon. To date, tens-of-thousands of subgraphs have been deployed on the hosted service, and now subgraphs can be deployed directly on the network. Over 28,000 developers have built subgraphs for applications such as Uniswap, Synthetix, KnownOrigin, Art Blocks, Balancer, Livepeer, DAOstack, Audius, Decentraland, and many others.\n\nIf you are a developer building an application or web3 application, you can use subgraphs for indexing and querying data from blockchains. The Graph allows applications to efficiently and performantly present data in a UI and allows other developers to use your subgraph too! You can deploy a subgraph to the network using the newly launched Subgraph Studio or query existing subgraphs that are in the Graph Explorer. The Graph would love to welcome you to be Indexers, Curators and/or Delegators on The Graphโ€™s mainnet. Join The Graph community by introducing yourself in The Graph Discord for technical discussions, join The Graphโ€™s Telegram chat, and follow The Graph on Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, and Medium! The Graphโ€™s developers and members of the community are always eager to chat with you, and The Graph ecosystem has a growing community of developers who support each other.\n\nThe Graph Foundation oversees The Graph Network. The Graph Foundation is overseen by the Technical Council. Edge & Node, StreamingFast, Figment, Semiotic and The Guild are five of the many organizations within The Graph ecosystem. \n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n No salary data published by company so we estimated salary based on similar jobs related to Web3, Ethereum, API and Digital Nomad jobs that are similar:\n\n $65,000 — $130,000/year\n \n\n#Location\nAnywhere, US - Remote OK

NEAR contributes a lot of effort into performance and safety optimizations of WebAssembly VMs/compilers which helps not only NEAR but the entire WebAssembly ecosystem.\n\nWe are looking for an Engineer with experience in low-level programming who is intrigued by a variety of open problems inherent to running compilers in completely trustless but high-performance setting, and who likes contributing and collaborating with open-source communities.\nRole\n\nAt this position you will be solving cutting-edge compiler and VM problems related to safe, deterministic, and high-performance compilation and execution. You will interfacing with many open-source projects where you might be asked to represent NEAR organization. In the future, your work might extend beyond WebAssembly VM into other types of VMs that NEAR will choose to support.\nCompetencies\n\n\n* Knowledge of C, C++ or Rust. All of our code is in Rust. We can teach you Rust if you are already a C or C++ expert;\n\n* Familiarity with low-level programming (compilers, operating systems, hypervisors, etc). Knowledge of virtual machines specifically is a plus;\n\n* >5 years of experience\n\n* Experience of maintaining a project\n\n* You should be able to work with your peers and other teams with a shared sense of purpose. No room for ego here. People should want to work with you;\n\n\n\n\nPreferred but optional:\n\n\n* Contributions to open-source software\n\n* Experience with Rust API design \n\n\n\nAbout NEAR and the NEAR Collective\n\nNEAR's purpose is to enable community-driven innovation to benefit people around the world and its mission is to drive the adoption of Open Technologies. The NEAR platform provides a decentralized application platform that is secure enough to manage high value assets like money or identity and performant enough to make them useful for everyday people, putting the power of Open Finance and the Open Web in their hands.\n\nThe NEAR platform, NEAR Protocol, and associated tooling are being built by the NEAR Collective, a collection of the best engineers in the world who work across teams, companies and countries similar to other large scale open-source projects. Core contributors include a couple of 2-time ICPC world champions, 4 gold medalists, a Latin American champion and multiple other competitive programming finalists.\nAbout the NEAR Foundation\n\nThe NEAR Foundation is a nonprofit, non-beneficiary foundation based in Switzerland which supports community-driven innovation and the Open Web with a specific focus on the NEAR platform. The Foundation distributes grant funding into the NEAR ecosystem, coordinates governance among participants, educates people about the protocol and ensures that relationships among the community members are as strong and sustainable as the apps they build. It seeks to combine the inclusive care of a community-driven NGO with the at-scale effectiveness of a Silicon Valley startup.\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n No salary data published by company so we estimated salary based on similar jobs related to Design, Finance, C, API, Engineer and Digital Nomad jobs that are similar:\n\n $70,000 — $120,000/year\n \n\n#Location\nWorldwide

The Corporate Actions team owns (you guessed it!) the corporate actions domain, and is responsible for building and maintaining the relevant functions. As the product is growing a lot, the team needs to prioritise what to build next, while keeping the functionalities extendable.ย \nThis role will give you the opportunity to:\n\n* \nDesigning and building fault-tolerant, horizontally scalable systems using Microservice architecture powered by Docker, Kubernetes, LinkerD service mesh, and Kong as a Gateway\n\n* \nBuilding event-driven applications using Kafka\n\n* \nWorking on different aspects of our API-product portfolio\n\n* \nDeveloping data processing and storing mechanisms\n\n* \nWorking on improving the reliability of our API tools, as well as developing innovative new tools\n\n* \nWorking with an agile methodology with flexible processes\n\n* \nWorking with cutting edge technologies (Go is the primary language) without legacy codebase\n\n* \nLearn what it is like to work in a growing FinTech startup, and gain understanding of the corporate actions domain\n\n\n\nWhat youโ€™ll bring:\n\n* \nPrior experience with distributed systems\n\n* \nExperience in Go (or willingness to make Go your day-to-day language)\n\n* \nFluency with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL (transaction isolation, performance optimization)\n\n\n\n\n* \nFluency with event-driven architecture and concurrent algorithms\n\n* \nBeing proactive in learning new stacks and having a high sense of ownership\n\n\n\nItโ€™s nice if you have:\n\n* \nExperience with Investment products or Fintech domain in general is a big plus\n\n* \nExperience in event-driven architectures, event streaming and event sourcing systems.\n\n* \nExperience with Docker, k8s, understanding principles of a service mesh\n\n* \nExperience with Monitoring and Tracing using Datadog or other modern observability tools\n\n\n\n\n\nWhy Upvest?\n * We're working on solving a hard problem: fixing the European securities financial infrastructure that empowers more people to be able to invest. You have the opportunity to contribute to this change.\n * We invest in you. From access to a personal coach, development budget and plenty of opportunities to grow in your role.\n * We take hiring seriously with a strong focus on keeping a high bar when interviewing (equally important is that we hire decent people, who are passionate about their craft and helping us achieve our shared mission).\n * While we're not quite fully-remote, we are committed to being a flexible employer, as we understand you don't have to be in the office to do your best work.\n * We live a culture of empowerment, trust (that we hire the best people and get out of their way) and openness (there's a greater advantage in sharing information than keeping it to ourselves).\n \n\nOur values:\n\n * Learn and grow. We aim high to shape our future. We give and request honest feedback knowing that we develop together. Progression over Perfection.\n * Team first. We make it easy for others. We value our differences and are open to others' opinions. We win and celebrate together! Team over Egos.\n * Own the outcome. Whether we win or we lose, we stand together. We are proactive and get the job done. Outcome over Process.\n * Tell the story. We always start with the why. We share knowledge to empower others. Transparency over Complexity.\n \n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n No salary data published by company so we estimated salary based on similar jobs related to API, Engineer and Backend jobs that are similar:\n\n $70,000 — $120,000/year\n \n\n#Location\nWorldwide

Brave is hiring a
Remote Anti Fraud Engineer

Anti-Fraud Engineer\n\nAbout Brave\n\nBrave is on a mission to protect the human right to privacy online. Weโ€™ve built a free web browser that blocks creepy ads and trackers by default, a private search engine with a truly independent index, a browser-native crypto wallet, and a private ad network (opt-in!) that directly rewards you for your attention. And weโ€™re just getting started. Already 50 million people have switched to Brave for a faster, more private web. Overview

We are Basket (www.trybasket.com) โ€“ a fresh and exciting new approach to save, share and follow the things you love, and the people who love them too. Basket keeps you organised, up to date, and helps you buy better across all shopping categories.

To continue our growth weโ€™re seeking a Senior Backend Engineer located in London or Auckland. With your strong production experience of Python and ETL processes, youโ€™ll play a key role in our data extraction, transformation pipelines, data storage (MongoDB), and data delivery via AWS API Gateway (Rest APIs) and AWS AppSync (GraphQL). Youโ€™ll need a deep understanding and experience with serverless AWS (Lamba with EventBridge), and knowledge of the serverless framework (https://www.serverless.com/) would be a significant benefit.

To excel in this role, youโ€™ll learn quickly, think big, and deliver rock-solid results in a fast-paced startup environment. You implicitly know how to balance safe decisions while proactively researching and running code experiments. Youโ€™re someone who embraces collaboration and feedback with open arms. You continuously look for ways to grow yourself, help teammates, and opportunities to make the products you work on stronger. This is a chance to join an innovative team where you will be challenged, and have significant input to shape a product we believe will become a global household name. This is an exciting opportunity to join our backend team at a pivotal time in our journey.

This role is development focused, with a small amount of coaching required for junior team members.

How We Work at Basket

At Basket, we work in 2 week development cycles with a clearly defined goal. Weโ€™re inspired by companies like Linear where quality work is more important than quantity of features released. We plan each cycle well ahead of time with team discussions, research and workshops to make sure weโ€™re making informed decisions.

Hereโ€™s how our typical cycle looks;

  • 2 weeks before a cycle we plan and define requirements for features

  • 1 week before a cycle we do technical due diligence and write acceptance criteria

  • During a cycle we write code using test-driven development, test code to development and staging environments, collaborate with QA, Design and PM team members to ensure features are production ready.

What You'll Do

  • Write, improve and maintain serverless functions to accurately transform and load data into efficient and organised MongoDB storage

  • Develop and maintain 3rd party data clients to enrich stored data

  • Create and update API endpoints for a frontend client using AWS API Gateway (Rest APIs) and AWS AppSync (GraphQL)

  • Analyse and tune application performance with a focus on efficiency using analytics tools such as Lumigo, Sentry, Segment and DataDog

  • Research and architect solutions using serverless architecture patterns

  • Implement and improve analytics and application monitoring performance

  • Approach your work using test driven development (TDD) to ensure the integrity of your code and our services

About You

  • Native English (this is essential)

  • Located in London, UK or Auckland, NZ

  • 5+ years full-time work experience as a backend engineer on production services

  • Advanced knowledge of Python ^3.10 and/or NodeJS ^15.0.0

  • Deep knowledge of webpage parsing, including XPath and Regex

  • Excellent experience with MongoDB and DynamoDB

  • Production experience with AWS services in a serverless microservices context, such as Lambda, AppSync, API Gateway, S3, SNS, SQS, Cognito, EventBridge

  • Lots of energy and enthusiasm about being part of a small, progressive team

Good To Have

  • University degree in computer science, or equivalent experience

  • Experience working in a VC-backed startup environment

Our Culture

Our culture is built on respect, collaboration and a drive to shake up the world of shopping. Weโ€™re at the beginning of our journey with the opportunity for new team members to lead projects, and shape services that customers interact with daily. Our team members are conscientious, deep thinkers, always striving to be awesome human beings.

We are an equal opportunity employer and value a diversity of perspectives and backgrounds at our company. We are dedicated to a policy of nondiscrimination in employment on any basis including race, colour, age, sex, religion, disability, or national origin.

Weโ€™re a mission-driven and diverse team composed of world class talent from Coinbase, Google, Meta, Bitso, Citi, Spotify and other top companies. We are a remote-first and fully distributed company, with team members located across all of the continents besides Antarctica. As early pioneers in the space, weโ€™ve made significant technical contributions to various Ethereum standards over the years; fun fact - our team helped establish the NFT token standard (ERC721).\n\nIn joining us, you'll take part in transforming the way that value is exchanged on a global scale. We're passionate about open-source software and decentralized technology's potential to act as an equalizing force in the world, and our technology is deployed by a wide array of projects at the forefront of internet and economic advancement.\n\nFounded in 2017, 0x Labs created and now partakes in the development of 0x protocol: the open-source, global backbone for decentralized exchange. Alongside the core protocol, we also build and maintain products and service offerings including Matcha, the search engine for tokens, and 0x API, the endpoint for multi-chain aggregated liquidity. All of these offerings allow 0x Labs to continue marching towards our vision of building a tokenized world where all value can flow freely at the best prices and with the lowest transaction costs. This way, we can help businesses eliminate the complexity of accessing decentralized markets across all layers of the Web3 exchange stack and have more time to focus on what matters most: their product. \n\n0x currently supports 7 major blockchains: Ethereum, Polygon, Fantom, Avalanche, Optimism, BNB Chain, and Celo, and the 0x ecosystem has been rapidly expanding. With integrations across all of the top wallets and apps, including MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet and Coinbase NFT, Polygon Wallet, Brave, Matcha, dYdX, Zapper, Zerion, and Shapeshift, 0x is fast becoming the trusted standard for all decentralized exchange.\n\nWeโ€™re a remote-first company with core contributors in nearly ten countries and over twice as many cities. Our headquarters is in San Francisco, with an office available for anyone on the team to use at any time. Weโ€™ll consider your application regardless of where you call home.\n\n0x API\n\n0x API is liquidity infrastructure for the internet. It provides developers seamless access to aggregated liquidity, enabling the future of Decentralized Finance applications on Ethereum as well as other blockchain networks. The 0x API is designed to make it easy for developers to tap into DEX liquidity in a fast, reliable, and easy to use way so they can focus on what matters: their product.\n\nTens of companies of all sizes โ€” from public companies like Coinbase and GameStop to DeFi native applications like Matcha and Zapper โ€” use 0x API to enable trading, investing and portfolio management. Since launch in early 2020, 0x API has facilitated over 40 million trades from nearly four million unique users โ€” adding up to more than $100B in traded volume. \n\nAs Integrator Support Manager on the 0x API team, youโ€™ll play a key role in delivering an industry-leading dev support and offering our users the best possible integration experience. Youโ€™ll also work closely with an amazing interdisciplinary group including Business Development, Product and Marketing.\n\nYour Role as a Support Manager for 0x API\n\n0x API is one of 0x Labs long term bets to grow access to decentralized markets and smart contracts. This means establishing and growing 0x API as the liquidity infrastructure for the internet and onboarding the next wave of DeFi developers and builders.
