Remote UX UI Designer Consumer Apps

You’ll get the chance to work for worldwide fashion brands like G-Star RAW, Scotch & Soda, Vince, Golden Goose, Roxy and many more.\n\nAbout NewStore Consumer Apps\nThe Consumer apps platform is part of a larger ecosystem of NewStore digital products, like the NewStore OMS or the Store Associate App. Our consumer apps are built to radically enrich the consumers’ shopping experience and bridge digital and physical retail. To accomplish this we focus on balancing visual, functional and tech aspects in our Consumer Apps platform to empower fashion and lifestyle brands in their direct to consumer innovation journey. Learn more at newstore.com/mobile-retail-experience\n\n\n\nBeing UX/UI Designer at NewStore.\n\n\n* As a UX/UI Designer, you will be part of the Consumer Apps Product & Design Team and you will focus on the Consumer Apps Platform. You like to work in cross-disciplinary teams and multiple touchpoints – app, web, and presentations.\n\n* Your portfolio shows you have an eye for detail and aesthetics. You are very passionate about digital design and pixel-perfection does not bother you.\n\n* You are always wondering how you can make things even better than they are today. As a design-oriented person, you keep track of what goes on in the world of mobile design.\n\n\n\n\nWe are looking for the following skills:\n\n\nBachelor or Masters degree in UX/UI design or related studies. But if you are a self-made type of person, please do not hesitate to contact us too.\n\nYou have experience with most aspects of UI (user interface) design for mobile devices. Web experience is a plus.\n\nYou have a solid knowledge of and professional experience with Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Xd (Adobe suite is an extra).\n\nYou have used prototyping tools like Protopie, Framer, Principle, or other software before. \n\nYou have an understanding of the possibilities and limitations of iOS, Android, and Web. Basic HTML and CSS knowledge and/or experience is a plus.\n\nIn general, you have good analytical skills, an inquisitive attitude, and you can professionally communicate in English.\n\n\n\n\nBenefits\n\n\nWork in an international and multicultural team;\n\nAbility to work anywhere between 32-40 hours/week, on a flexible schedule;\n\nCompetitive salary depending on skills and experience\n\nStock Options for every employee based on role and level\n\nInternet & Phone budget of up to €50,- per month\n\nTraining / Education budget of €2.000,- per year\n\nEmployee Referral bonus of €5.000,-\n\nYou'll be employed directly at NewStore or through long-term contracting based on your location and personal preferences\n\nPossibility to work from our HQ at the heart of Utrecht (where delicious free lunches are provided daily and we’ve got team drinks on Fridays);\n\n\n\n\nEveryone is welcome here 🤗\nAt NewStore, we strive to create an inclusive environment that empowers our employees. We know that diverse teams make better teams. We believe that our products and services benefit from our diverse backgrounds and experiences and are proud to be an equal opportunity employer. Heliax is hiring a
Remote Creative Senior Front End Engineer

About Heliax

Heliax is a public goods lab which researches, develops, deploys, and maintains open-source protocols and mechanisms designed to serve the everyday needs of humanity. Using these protocols and mechanisms, we build vertically integrated products and networks that form coherent open systems which are capable of acting as an alternative to existing exploitative paradigms.

Two of the most notable vertically integrated protocols are Anoma and Namada.

Anoma is an intent-centric, privacy-preserving protocol for decentralized counterparty discovery, distributed solving, and atomic multi-chain settlement – a radically novel architecture for decentralized protocols marking the beginning of the third generation of architectures ever since programmable settlement.

Namada is Anoma’s first fractal instance. It is proof-of-stake Layer 1 protocol for asset-agnostic, interchain privacy. The key innovations include ZCash-like shielded transfers for any assets (fungible and non-fungible), incentivised privacy sets, and interoperability with Ethereum via a custom bridge and IBC.

Heliax is a remote-first (but not remotely-only) team, currently composed of +50 cross-disciplinary members located around the world.

  • Work closely with the Design UX/UI & Growth team, a team composed by designers, developers, and content writers on building, improving, and maintaining the existing and upcoming organization and project websites.

  • Developer-friendly documentation writing for both internal use and external use, as the projects and its libraries are/will be open-source.

Pangolia is hiring a
Remote WordPress Developer for Fast Growing Pet Company

Are you a talented web developer who loves WordPress? And do you get excited about building new features that will be used by millions of pet lovers every month? Then this could very well be the opportunity for you!

We’re Pangolia—one of the fastest-growing pet companies, and we’re on a mission to create the biggest, most helpful pet company in the world. Our biggest sites: PetKeen.com, Hepper.com, and ExcitedCats.com, are visited by millions of pet lovers every month, and we’re undergoing rapid growth.

Our sites are all built on WordPress, and our own cat furniture e-commerce brand: Hepper is running on WooCommerce. In this position you will be working alongside our Lead Developer on building new features and tools that help pet lovers all over the world.

We’re a 100% remote company so you’d have the freedom to work from anywhere. It's a full-time position (40 hours a week), yet you get to plan your own schedule and work whenever you want. You will become an integral member of our team at Pangolia consisting of a diverse group of 95 talented individuals from all over the world, joining us on our united goal of improving the lives of pets and those who care for them.

This is a great opportunity if you’re an amazing developer looking to rapidly grow your skills whilst working alongside peers who are at the top of their field.

You Will Be Responsible For:

Developing new tools and software that help millions of pet lovers every month (could for example be to develop a Puppy Weight Chart Tool / Calculator that helps pet owners predict how fast, and how big their dog will grow)

Developing, testing, and maintaining new features and solutions for our WordPress sites for desktop and mobile browsers that are optimized for high traffic

Optimize our websites for mobile users

Create, review, and update technical documentation

Contributing to our development processes, QA procedures, and technical planning

Communicating and supporting our content and marketing departments with dev/IT requests, troubleshooting, fixing bugs

Performing scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance and security updates on our WordPress sites

Securing and protecting our WordPress sites from hackers and malware, as well as eliminating risks

Ensuring that our servers and content delivery network (CDN) are stable enough to handle millions of users

       Improve our team’s IT infrastructure

Keep apprised of relevant new technology and best practices

You are expected to have:

  • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery

Experience with PHP (7.4/8) and object-oriented programming (OOP)

Experience with MySQL and managing databases

Experience with WordPress development (eg themes, hooks, filters, plugin API, etc)

Experience with build tools like Webpack or ViteJS

Experience with Composer and basic understanding of autoloading, dependency management, and dependency injection

Experience with SSH and comfortable with basic terminal usage

       Experience with Git (and GitHub)

       Experience with TailwindCSS & PostCSS

Troubleshooting abilities (ie include finding CSS and JavaScript conflicts using browser developer tools, navigating codebases in theme and plugins, and determining whether a plugin or theme code could be causing a code conflict)

The ability to take a project on your own and get it done before the deadline

The ability to communicate well as we work remote (most of our communication is written in Slack with occasional calls)

It would be nice if you have:

       Experience creating custom Elementor widgets

Experience with Docker and DDev.com for local development

Experience with WP CLI, WP REST API, and WP cron jobs

       Experience with CDNs/Cloudflare

       Experience with unit testing

Good understanding of website architecture, aesthetics and UI/UX best practices

Understanding of basic principles behind technical SEO and performance optimization

We would appreciate it if you could work with PHPStorm so that we can use their collaborative features and have some consistency in our development processes. However, if you prefer and work better with another IDE or coding tool, that's fine! Either way, we will pay for your license.

Type of person we would love for this role

       You’re a dependable, friendly communicator

You’re passionate about solving problems with smart and elegant programming solutions. Your code is clean, understandable, and well commented

You’re a self-starter who loves taking initiative and seeing things through to completion.

You have the curiosity and desire to learn and grow your skills and discover new modern practices and follow the latest trends in WordPress

You take pride in the quality and craftsmanship of your work rather than just doing it to get it done but you are also able to balance it with not overdoing your work and being able to move and work fast

You’re able to juggle around and work on different projects and side tasks on a weekly basis. While we wish we could focus on one thing for weeks at a time to make it perfect, that’s often not the reality in a competitive market.

Benefits/Perks

Work from anywhere (we’re 100% remote)

Flexible work hours, you get to plan your own schedule and work whenever you want

       Developer Growth.

You work with modern practices and you gain valuable experience with high-traffic sites

We value self-improvement. We cover expenses for books and work-related courses

We're open to changes, you have a voice in how things get done

Your monthly pay is paid biweekly (You’re paid every two weeks)

We'll pay for all your software needs that relate to your work (IDE/Coding tools, SnagIt, VPN, etc.). Usually, we provide license (serial) keys.

We cover 100% of your home internet bill.

We encourage you to find a working environment that suits your needs the best if working from home every single day isn’t for you.

We’ll cover monthly membership and/or day passes for co-working spaces

We’ll cover all your coffee purchases for the day in coffee shops

We give you a day off for your birthday! You get to stay in bed or hang with loved ones.

       Paid company retreats

21 days of paid time off every year

Your work with a great, talented team that produces a high-growth work environment (we move fast)

Opportunity to move up in the company, and earn higher pay and bonuses

A typical workweek (example)

Every Monday, we have a one-on-one Zoom meeting to discuss our goals, whether you are meeting your goals, what went well, what did not go well, and so on.

You have one or multiple projects to complete. You can work on them whenever and however you want without being micromanaged. However, you must be able to meet the deadline and be accountable for the quality of the end solution.

You’re also responsible for maintaining the Github repository of the project you’re working on, committing/pushing/documenting your changes, commenting on your code, and writing SOPs or technical documentation (if necessary). It doesn’t have to be pages long and can be very short and concise. But, as a developer, it makes life so much easier if you can return to your code in the future without having to think too hard about what you did. This is also about being considerate of your teammates' time.

There must be some overlap in our working hours so you can respond to urgent requests (if any) or chat with your manager or any of our departments on demand if they have an IT question. This means that some extra tasks may arise during the week.

You might have a day where one of our team members needs something urgent and needs it done the same or the next day, which can be valuable to the company, or a major issue needs to be fixed ASAP, in which case you might have to drop what you're working on and work on that or troubleshoot the entire day. If your main project's deadline cannot be met because of this (which is understandable), you should be able to communicate this on time.

However, most of the time you are able to work on your main projects in solitary. We understand that developers need complete focus. You can also chat and ask questions in our Slack channels.

You might get stuck in programming and need help, or some development processes may need to be explained. If it cannot be explained/resolved via chat or video, screen-sharing calls can be scheduled throughout the week.

The team (and our work culture)

You’ll get to be part of a 100% remote company consisting of a diverse group of 95 talented individuals from all over the world. The people you will find on the team are veterinarians, marketers, content writers, editors, social media managers, graphics designers, content managers, and a lot more.

And you’ll get to join us on our united mission of improving the lives of pets and those who care for them. We dream big, and our vision is to become the biggest, most helpful pet company in the world.

You’ll get to be part of a company that’s undergoing hyper-growth, and the fast-paced work environment that comes with it.

And we’ve managed to grow at a healthy pace without ever sacrificing our culture and values.

Our company culture is focused on work and collaboration, but also while being open to the casual humor and chatter that makes us get to know each other.

We work hard, and you may have to work on the weekend every now and then if you have a lot on your plate. However, we have a huge understanding of the importance of time off, and we encourage each other to take time off.

A lot of us love traveling, and therefore, we plan on doing yearly company retreats, where we all meet up together and have fun.

We value the freedom of being able to work from anywhere, trust, and collaboration.

StephTaylor.Co is hiring a
Remote Marketing Manager

We're a growing online education company for business owners, founded and led by Steph Taylor, a marketer and launch strategist. We're here to help our community build and grow businesses that are profitable and bring them so much joy. We value freedom and flexibility over hustle culture, we pride ourselves on taking imperfect action and we're always hungry to learn something new.

Until now, Steph has been hands-on in most areas of marketing the brand. But the business has grown and we're searching for a marketing all-rounder to join our canoe and help us paddle a bit faster.

Note: This role is part-time, but we're looking for someone who can grow with us. Depending on your availability and commitments outside of work, this could mean you eventually become full-time or it could mean we help you build a marketing team to support you as your workload increases. Choose your own adventure.

Some key areas you'd be working on include:

  • Growing podcast listenership: With more than 1.5 million downloads to date, Socialette podcast is by no means a small show. It's our primary channel for sharing free content that—to paraphrase one listener—changes lives. You will brainstorm podcast topics with Steph, plan the content calendar and use your marketing magic to get each episode in front of as many of the right people as possible.
  • Launching a new membership program: This one is still under wraps (shh!) but we're planning to open doors in early 2023. In your first few months with us, you will work closely with Steph to develop the launch strategy and execute the launch marketing campaign, including creating organic social content, and executing paid social and SEM campaigns.
  • Increasing sales of our self-paced courses: We have two courses that can be purchased and completed at any time, but we haven't had much time to market them. You will generate fresh ideas for marketing these products, measure and track the analytics, and spot opportunities to optimise every step of the sales funnel.
  • Executing launch campaigns for our cohort-based course: We have a 12-week course that we launch and run twice a year. You will be working year-round to grow our email list and social media audiences with the right people for this course. Twice per year, you will work closely with Steph on the launch strategy and campaign execution.
  • Building brand visibility: We operate in a crowded market. Social media is noisy. Paid traffic is becoming more and more expensive. Having a human as the face of our brand gives us an advantage, and part of your role is to help grow the visibility of the Steph Taylor brand. You will identify and pitch media opportunities, and spot potential partnerships and growth opportunities.

To succeed in this role, you must:

  • Have 3-5+ years of digital marketing experience, in roles where you've had exposure to both strategy and execution.
  • Be results-driven and passionate about growth. You approach everything with an "I wonder what will happen" mindset, and you're constantly measuring and improving as you go.
  • Have a sound understanding of what works (and what doesn't) in content marketing and email marketing.
  • Be able to write. Well.
  • Know how to create and manage campaigns using Facebook Ads and Google Ads, or be willing to learn.
  • Be willing to undertake training and courses (paid for by us) to continually improve your skills in the fast-moving online marketing space.
  • Thrive in an environment where you're working autonomously with a small, remote team. In other words, you're self-motivated and take ownership of your work.

This role is NOT for you if:

  • You are a freelancer or agency looking for another client. We want someone who is 100% dedicated to growing our business with us.
  • You're a business owner looking to earn an income while you're waiting for your business to take off.
  • You're not willing to roll your sleeves up and do what needs to be done. We're only a small team and, occasionally, we have to do work that's below our pay grade to get the job done.

Follow these exact steps to apply:

  1. Open the application form here: https://stephtaylorco.typeform.com/to/PCgq92y9 (or click the "Apply" button.
  2. Upload your resume and answer the application questions (please allow 30 minutes for this)

Any applications that are submitted outside of the above application form won't be accepted.

Please don't email us your resume.

You have been warned 😉

You'll focus on how we can increase our customer's satisfaction, improve the efficiency of mission-critical workflows, and deliver high impact software features for Zoomo and our customers.

About The Role:
  • At a department level, you’ll collaborate with other designers, product managers, technical leads, and Zoomo’s leadership team to help define the future of Zoomo’s software products. You'll have a large amount of ownership and autonomy across the entire design process; rather than just designing individual features, you'll determine the experience of an exciting and critical area of our business.
  • At a squad level, you’ll take full ownership of software product design in both the discovery and delivery stages. You’ll collaborate with product management from the very early stages to find the right problem to tackle, explore ideas for how to solve it, and then refine it into a coherent solution.
  • Lead design research activities to uncover customer experience insights and collaborate with engineering and product management teams. Along the way, you’ll validate assumptions through sketching and prototyping and use your deep understanding of users and customers to design and ship great software products.
  • Participate in design reviews across squads to help define and evolve Zoomo’s software design system and patterns to meet the needs of our growing ecosystem of software applications.
  • Engage with other designers to help define high standards and consistent processes for product design deliverables and cross-functional collaboration, and actively participate in knowledge sharing across software and hardware design teams to promote best practices and consistency across our diverse product lines.
  • Mentor junior designers in their career progression.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of professional UX/software product design experience, having designed complex or enterprise-level software
  • Demonstrated track record of driving a user-centered design process to tackle complex customer problems in a startup environment.
  • Strong facilitation and cross-functional collaboration skills: you can demonstrate the ability to work across multiple teams, solicit and synthesize feedback, facilitate design discussions, and bring stakeholders with you on the design journey.
  • Be open to the iterative design process – always sketching, showing work in progress, validating with customers and data, iterating, shipping, learning, and growing
  • 5+ years of experience conducting and applying customer research, including design thinking, prototyping, and conceptual modelling
  • The ability to see the whole user experience, not only the part you're working on, and have as much skill in identifying what needs to be removed, as you do in suggesting what can be added
  • Dedicated to clearly defining projects and measures of success, testing your assumptions and outcomes, and continuously incorporate feedback
  • Excited to work with stakeholders across a truly global business (including willingness to participate in calls across multiple timezones, and occasional international travel for in-person user research in the UK/EU and United States).
  • You know how to prioritize ruthlessly and handle responsibilities for a wide number of projects – focusing your attention on the areas that matter most and taking ownership of deliverables and outcomes.
  • You like to move quickly, and aren’t afraid of fast growth and rapid change.

Benefits

At Zoomo, we celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment and equal opportunities. We offer you the chance to be part of an organisation in hyper-growth mode with plenty of opportunities for personal development, including:
  • The opportunity to be part of a mission driven company and make a difference in people’s lives.
  • Competitive Salary + Equity Options
  • Flexible working hours
  • Tech Allowance and Monthly Wellbeing Allowance
