HockeyStack is hiring a Remote Senior Frontend Engineer
HockeyStack is an analytics and attribution tool for B2B SaaS. It collects and helps analyze data from all parts of the SaaS customer journey - marketing, sales, and product engagement. Our goal is to make tracking and gaining insights from all this data easier and faster.
We launched the final iteration of the product last year. We are now scaling our product and building out new features.
Technical Expectations
As a frontend-focused engineer, your first project will be to migrate our current frontend (Pug + JS + CSS) to React. So you should know both by heart.
But we also expect you to:
Have an eye for sleek and pixel-perfect design (ex. Linear, Notion, Stripe)
Have enough Figma skills to design what you think
Think about the UX of our platform
...and actually execute these ideas in code
We want to make B2B analytics as accessible as possible but also have a cool product to show off ;) You will work directly with the founders to make HockeyStack the coolest product on the market.
Non-technical Expectations
Excellent communication skills (English) is a must.
We aren’t looking for someone with 20 years of experience, we are looking for smart people who are up for a challenge.
You should have experience with at least a CRM, an analytics tool, or a MarTech tool of some kind.
Your ideas will set the course of the product, so you should have some context on this industry beforehand.
This also means that your role within the company is bound to grow and gain importance over time.

Core Duties
Lead the front end development of product features: As well as coding out complex features, you will contribute to the technical design process. You will collaborate with your teammates (including other senior engineers) to refine the product roadmap and vision, and guide your team in building out new features.
Define technical direction: You will help maintain the standard of engineering excellence at FM and shape the technical vision for our front end engineering stack (React, Next.js, React Native). You will influence best practices and introduce new technologies when appropriate.
Mentor other engineers: Work with more junior engineers to help them grow and develop their skills.
A Great Candidate Will Have
At least 5 years experience developing front end applications with React (and preferably Next.js).
A love of Typescript and unit-tested React components.
Highly skilled in HTML and CSS (including responsive design and cross-browser compatibility).
Proven technical leadership skills, including the ability to architect complex front-end web applications.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
Experience in any of the following is a bonus: Webpack, Unstated, Cypress, React Native.

Our survey platform is providing capabilities to create and collect online surveys and analyse and share survey data. The survey platform can be used to conduct simple questionnaires with just a couple of questions or advanced assessments with conditionals and quota management.
We work closely with our community and partner network to co-create, fix bugs, translate, and share knowledge. You will join our creative team and get involved in building the world’s #1 open-source survey platform.
As the Quality Assurance - Test Software Engineer, you will have a key responsible for developing our test strategies and play an active role in promoting test engineering standards. You will help build a versatile, open-source survey tool for newcomers and professionals. So, they can get the freshest insights - as easy as squeezing a lime. Well, for the latter ‘easy’ part we could really use your help.
This is your challenge:
Setup testing strategies for LimeSurvey
Manual testing and acceptance testing of newly developed features and bugs
Development of automated tests
Development of quality criteria and user acceptance tests (UAT)
Build and setup test infrastructure
Coordination of external test studios
Release management
Increase awareness and promote testability
This is you:
Exceptional knowledge and experience in one or more testing methodologies relevant in LimeSurvey context
Hands on experience with testing approached and techniques
Deep knowledge of dev tools supporting testing activities
Affinity to web technologies and knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS and Javascript, preferably coding skills
Experience in dealing with ticket and bug-tracking systems
Preferably experience with Travis, PHPUnit and Selenium with Headless Firefox, React.js Tests and Jest
Any experience with Puppeteer, Playwright and or Cypress is always welcome to determine a solid testing strategy for LimeSurvey
We are currently making a small deep dive in Puppeteer to see if that could be a fit for LimeSurvey. You could advise us on this
