Braintrust is hiring a
Remote Switchboard React Front end Engineer Direct Hire

\n\nABOUT US:\n\nBraintrust is the only network that gives in-demand talent all the freedom of freelance with all the benefits, community and stability of a full-time role. As the first decentralized talent network, our revolutionary Web3 model ensures the community that relies on Braintrust to find work are the same people who own and build it through the blockchain token, BTRST. So unlike other marketplaces that take 20% to 50% of talent earnings, Braintrust allows talent to keep 100% of earnings and to vote on key changes to improve the network. Braintrust is working to change the way freelance works โ€“ for good.\n\n\n* \nJOB TYPE: Direct Hire Position (no agencies/C2C - see notes below)\n\n* \nLOCATION: Remote - United States and Canada only (TimeZone: PST/CIST | Partial overlap)\n\n* \nSALARY: $120,000 โ€“ $150,000/yr\n\n* \nESTIMATED DURATION: 40hr/week - Long term\n\n\n\n\nTHE OPPORTUNITY\nPlease submit a code sample and a link to your GitHub profile with your application\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n"I've been hesitant to hit the gas with Zapier. But now knowing Switchboard's there, an external source monitoring things, I'm ready to go" - Switchboard customer\n\n \n\nWeโ€™re building meaningful software, and that gets us excited. Non-technical teams are using tools like Airtable, Zapier, Integromat and Tray to eliminate manual work and turn their teams into automated powerhouses. One of the biggest things holding them back is being able to rely on these no-code tools for critical infrastructure. Thatโ€™s what weโ€™re working on. \n\n \n\nWeโ€™ve built the first error monitoring solution for no-code - letting users of Zapier and Integromat know when thereโ€™s an issue with their business-critical automations. We help teams collaborate on a fix the same way Pagerduty has helped address downtime in dev teams - assigning incidents, resolving problems, and documenting how future errors get fixed.\n\n \n\nBut error monitoring is just the first step. How do we bring the full suite of dev ops principles to no-code?\n \nTHE TEAM\n\nOur engineering team is the perfect mix of curious developers and no-code pioneers. We use the latest frameworks not to chase trends, but to sharpen our skills as engineers and stay on the forefront of the industry. We work asynchronously, actually. Two meetings per week, and we heavily rely on Slack, Loom, Linear and Notion to keep us all informed while giving us the time to plug in, without distractions, to do our best work. \n \nTHE COMPANY\n\nWeโ€™re a venture-backed, seed-stage company with a collaborative team of 9 and growing. Weโ€™re remote-first, with offices in Atlanta and San Francisco. Most of us enjoy traveling, and we get together in-person in fun places for our company off-sites at least twice a year. We offer a generous stipend to get the office of your dreams set up in your house, and will pay for a co-working space in your area if youโ€™d like. Weโ€™ve got great benefits packages, no-questions asked vacation policies, and donโ€™t ignore HR like many startups do. \n\n \n\nWe care about each other and value the different perspectives all of us bring. We arenโ€™t afraid to give each other feedback and work hard to ensure weโ€™re building a culture thatโ€™s inspiring and cultivates space for growth and learning. \n\n \nTHE ROLE\n\nWe are looking for a talented front-end focused React developer to join our team. This role entails a great deal of ownership over the Switchboard web application as the first dedicated front-end hire on our team. Youโ€™ll be supported by a full-stack engineer to help with building features, and a backend team who can make sure you have all the data you need. We also have a prototype frontend in production, so youโ€™ll be able to reference both Figma designs and working prototypes as you help us transition to React.\n\nYou will work closely with our design lead to translate Figma designs into pixel-perfect React components, and will be expected to have a strong understanding of frontend frameworks like Tailwind and NextJS.\n\n \n\nWhat makes and keeps this role exciting is that it:\n\n\n* \n\nallows you to focus on developing your frontend craft and design skills\n\n\n* \n\nKeeps you at the leading edge of design to development translation: we are always experimenting with the latest Figma plugins and features\n\n\n* \n\nBuilds your portfolio with practical B2B dashboards\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTECHNOLOGIES WE USE\n\n\n* \n\nTypescript\n\n\n* \n\nReact + Next.js\n\n\n* \n\nCSS + Tailwind\n\n\n* \n\nNode.js\n\n\n* \n\nGraphQL\n\n\n* \n\nPostgres\n\n\n\n\n\n \nYOUR BACKGROUND\n\n\n* \n\nYou have 3-5 years of frontend development experience\n\n\n* \n\nYou have recently built a web application in React and Next.js\n\n\n* \n\nYou possess a strong design background and intuitive sense of UI/UX\n\n\n* \n\nYou are a CSS expert who can create responsive, pixel-perfect interfaces\n\n\n* \n\nYou have experience working with GraphQL APIs\n\n\n* \n\nYou have exceptional verbal and written communication skills (we operate heavily in Slack and asynchronously)\n\n\n* \n\nYou have experience with front-end testing\n\n\n\n\n\n \nADDED BONUS IF\n\n\n* \n\nYou've had experience working in a small, fast-faced, agile startup environment and enjoy being on projects from the ground up\n\n\n* \n\nYouโ€™ve worked on teams where experimenting and learning from failure is encourage\n\n\n* \n\nYouโ€™ve collaborated with non-technical teams to gain added perspective on the features you built\n\n\n* \n\nYouโ€™ve worked with internal tools in a previous role\n\n\n* \n\nYouโ€™ve interfaced with non-technical teams and understand their needs \n\n\n* \n\nYou enjoy building automations and tests\n\n\n* \n\nYou are deeply involved in multiple developer communities\n\n\n* \n\nYou are passionate about software development best practices\n\n\n\n\n\n \nPlease submit a code sample and a link to your GitHub profile with your application\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nApply Now!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nABOUT THE HIRING PROCESS:\n\nQualified candidates will be invited to do a screening interview with the Braintrust staff. We will answer your questions about the project, and our platform. If we determine it is the right fit for both parties, we'll invite you to join the platform and create a profile to apply directly for this project. \n\nC2C Candidates: This role is not available to C2C candidates working with an agency. If you are a professional contractor who has created an LLC/corp around their consulting practice, this is well aligned with Braintrust and weโ€™d welcome your application. \n\nBraintrust values the multitude of talents and perspectives that a diverse workforce brings. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, national origin, religion, age, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or protected veteran status.\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n No salary data published by company so we estimated salary based on similar jobs related to React, Design, Web3, GraphQL, HR, Consulting, CSS, Engineer, Backend and Digital Nomad jobs that are similar:\n\n $70,000 — $120,000/year\n

Actions: Prioritize your schedule and share your unique knowledge and experience to help make your team stronger.ย
Results: Your team is more precise, creative, and their knowledge is deepened with your help.ย

Responsibility

  • What will you manage?ย
Each teammate receives a role within a small team per cycle that can include a handful of small projects, one large project, or staying outside of the cycle to support clients, bugs, and cycle planning. Along with that, youโ€™ll be responsible for ensuring adherence to programming and documentation policies, code standards, testing, release, and reporting updates on your projects.
  • What will you contribute to?ย
You will contribute to code reviews, generating projects for each cycle, feedback for ideas (including the ideas for other areas of the company), and hiring new teammates in the Product Team.
  • What will you support?ย
Outside of generally supporting your teammates in the Product Circle, Rebilly is an open environment where everyone is welcome in every area of the company. You are welcome to support any project you feel called to participate in.ย
  • How much support per project?
Teams working in a cycle can be 1, 2, or sometimes 4 people. You will lean on your cycle teammates to support the completion of the cycle, as well as receive support from teammates supporting the cycle. You can ask as many teammates to join your project as you need to complete the mission.ย

AxiomZen is hiring a
Remote Staff Software Engineer Open Source

Weโ€™re searching for a passionate staff software engineer to lead open-source development across the Flow developer suite โ€” a collection of software libraries, APIs, and developer tools used by thousands of Flow developers on a daily basis.\nThe ideal candidate not only has a passion for technical design but is also excited about fostering a diverse open-source community and collaborating to make blockchain development more accessible to developers of any background.\nAbout the Flow Developer Experience team:\nThe Flow Developer Experience team was born in mid 2020, shortly before the launch of the Flow blockchain network. Our goal has always been to make blockchain development simple and accessible. Since the start, weโ€™ve worked shoulder-to-shoulder with Flowโ€™s developer community to identify pain points and design solutions that have taken the form of client libraries, IDE integrations, and cross-platform authentication protocols.\nOur work is language agnostic and requires us to cross all layers of a developerโ€™s software stack. Regardless of what weโ€™re building, we always strive to meet developers where they are โ€” whether that place is a Swift iOS codebase or a data processing pipeline written in Go.\nLastly, weโ€™re not here to reinvent the wheel. Sometimes the best tool is the one you already know. By leveraging well-known tools and frameworks, we aim to prove that any developer can build a blockchain application using the skills they already have.\nBrowse our GitHub repositories to see what weโ€™re working on now. What youโ€™ll accomplish with our team:Continuously improve Flowโ€™s core developer experience by identifying and removing points of friction.Drive innovation in our space; Flow is a new platform and we are actively exploring new ways to build blockchain applications.Collaborate with community members and facilitate external contributions to Flowโ€™s repositories.Lead the engineering team throughout the process of gathering developer feedback, designing solutions, shipping new software and maintaining live projects.Become a reliable mentor for other engineers and help us build a culture where curious engineers thrive.A little about you:You are able to work with engineers, designers, product managers and other leaders to turn your product and technical vision into executable tasks. You have experience providing technical leadership for an engineering team. You are excited about owning the entire lifecycle of our developer tools, from defining a roadmap and proposing designs to implementing a final product. You have experience building modern backend systems as well as frontend client applications for web or mobile. In addition to your existing experience, you are also motivated to learn new technologies and excited to step outside of your comfort zone. You are a strong problem solver and are comfortable removing blockers in an ambiguous environment. You are a great communicator and can collaborate effectively, not only within the Flow organization but also across our open-source communities.More about Dapper Labs:\nDapper Labs is the world's first blockchain entertainment company. We are the creators of industry-leading experiences including CryptoKitties and NBA Top Shot, as well as Dapper Wallet โ€“ the simplest way to manage your assets and use the blockchain. We are also the original developers behind Flow, a new decentralized blockchain designed from the ground up for scalability and ease of use.\nOur mission at Dapper Labs is to make the world a more accessible and enjoyable place through consumer adoption of decentralized technologies.\nWe have raised over $600M from leading and notable investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Coatue, Union Square Ventures, Venrock, Google Ventures (GV), Samsung, and the founders of Dreamworks, Reddit, Coinbase, Zynga, and AngelList, among others. Dapper Labsโ€™ current studio partners include the NBA and NBPA, the NFL-PA, Ubisoft, Warner Music, Turner, Dr. Seuss, Genies, and the UFC, as well as 100+ others.\nVisit our website to learn even more about Dapper Labs, including information about benefits and perks.\n#LIremote \n\n#Salary and compensation\n No salary data published by company so we estimated salary based on similar jobs related to Design, Swift, Engineer, Backend and Digital Nomad jobs that are similar:\n\n $70,000 — $120,000/year\n \n\n#Location\nWorldwide

Usher is hiring a
Remote Founding Backend & Smart Contracts Software Engineer

About Us\n\n\nUsher is developing the Partnerships protocol for Web3. Commerce thrives on recommendations and word of mouth. The eCommerce, Travel, Finance and SaaS industries have already proven that incentivised word of mouth works. Commission Junction, Impact.com and other partnership platforms have delivered on this value proposition for Web2. Weโ€™re on a mission to bring this very same value proposition to businesses developing on decentralised networks, such as NFT brands and marketplaces, DeFi protocols, dApps, Blockchains and all other Web3 brands.\n\n\nWeโ€™re an early-stage startup backed by the likes of Arweave & Awin, building decentralised technology that enables Referral, Affiliate and Reseller programs for Web3 businesses.\n\n\nThe founder has engineering experience at startups, some that are now publicly listed, and has project and talent management experience from operating a software studio.\n\n\nOur customers can be any business across the world capable of funding their partner programs with cryptocurrencies.\n\nAbout the role\n\n\nWe are looking for early engineers to join us and build the platform alongside the founding team.\n\n\nThis person will be an extension of the founder, capable of bringing ideas, fast-paced energy and a company-building vision to the table.\n\n\nFounding engineers should consider themselves as owners of the platform, putting aside the distractions of the world to be a part of a team that is building toward the future.\n\n\nAs the earliest team member(s), there is a high degree of responsibility involved with the role.\n\n\nWe expect early team members to be open-minded about their capability to cross geographies and work alongside their team.\n\n\nAn ideal candidate can cross the entire software stack, has deep enthusiasm and knowledge about the Web3 ecosystem, and has an execution-driven mindset.\n\nYou will have the opportunity to\n\n\n\n * Innovate, the Web3 ecosystem is moving so quickly โ€” the brands we will be working with may lead the industry for years to come\n\n * Actively drive and manage the technology development process, working with the founder to build processes for the engineering team\n\n * Join the company-building journey, working with the founder to source and expand the team\n\n * Combine technical creativity and business acumen, you will illustrate the value that Usherโ€™s platform and Partner Programs can provide\n\n\n\n\nWe would love you to have\n\n\n\n * 1+ years as a Backend/Fullstack developer, DevOps/Infrastructure engineer and/or Solutions & Cloud Architect\n\n * 1+ years experience working within an engineering team, capable of being very responsive for meetings/stand-ups and all other team communications\n\n * Experience in crypto, NFTs and/or decentralised networks and a passion to stay on top of that incredible rate of change\n\n * Comfortable talking about technical concepts and explaining how they work, both from a product feature and architecture perspective\n\n * Experience managing developers and triaging tasks between team members\n\n * Strong verbal and written communication abilities in English\n\n * Self-motivation, high ownership, low ego; a desire to work on a fast-paced, intense, and fun team in person.\n\n\n\n\nSpecific skills that are awesome\n\n\n\n * Typescript & Node.js Experience\n\n * Golang, Rust, Kotlin, or other Backend Developer Languages.\n\n * Software Architecture - Microservice Networking\n\n * Big Data Management and Engineering\n\n * DevOps and Infra experience with Ubuntu, AWS, Docker\n\n * Smart Contract Development in Solidity and/or Rust\n\n * Development of Decentralised Networks\n\n\n\n\nWhy you should join us\n\n\n\n * Have an impact from day 1. You will be working very closely with the founder daily.\n\n * Solve problems your own way. As a software engineer, you get the autonomy to be creative and explore solutions to problems your own way. The founder is a message away for collaboration.\n\n * Own the product - drive the product vision, participate in building the early team and work closely with the users.\n\n\n\n\nAbout the interview\n\n\nIntroduction (30 minutes): This stage is a more informal call for you to learn more about the role, and for you to evaluate whether itโ€™s a good fit for you.\n\n\nWe're looking for people with a strong interest in joining an early-stage startup and working on complex technical challenges in a new industry (Crypto/Web3). In this chat, youโ€™re welcome to ask lots of questions about whether working at Usher makes sense for you.\n\n\nThis conversation will also cover some light technical discussion about your past projects. Mostly, we want to know that you can code and ship fairly involved systems, and speak to them with clarity on the details. This tends to be a good indication that a software developer had strong ownership and showed autonomy in making the product or technical decisions.\n\n\nTechnical Assessment (5 hours take-home exercise or 1-2 hour screen): The next step of the interview process is a fun take-home exercise. Completing this exercise helps accelerate our decision and allows us to focus later interviews on discussing your solution and a couple โ€œsystems designโ€ questions. We make ourselves available to answer any questions for this challenge to make it feel collaborative and ensure you get something out of it.\n\n\nIf you do not have the bandwidth to complete the take-home exercise, we're open to scheduling at least one, one-hour technical screen instead where we will cover a systems design questions and a white-boarding/coding exercise.\n\n\nInterview (1 hour): The interview is a deeper dive into technical abilities and overall fit.\n\n\nFor the "technical" portion, we will cover\n\n\n\n * \nSystems design questions: we will look for familiarity and your ability to identify trade-offs with building systems, specifically those that collect, store, and present data.\n\n * \nWhite-boarding/coding exercises: we're interested in seeing how you approach problems, specifically how you write, test, and debug solutions, and identify tradeoffs.\n\n\n\n\n\nFor the โ€œfitโ€ portion, we look for examples of ownership and autonomy, but also dig deeper into communication (i.e. how you communicate your approach, solutions, and overall thinking).\n\n\nThe interview is 1 hour long, with 50 minutes allocated for the technical portion, and 10 minutes for Q&A.\n\n\nFollow-Up Interview(s) (up to 4 hours): The follow-up interview(s) are more informal versions of the core interview.\n\n\nWithin these follow-up interviews, additional technical questions and exercises will be conducted at random introducing concepts and technical challenges associated with the platform.\n\n\nCandid discussions may also be held to determine your requirements for working on Usher at your best.\n\n\nIdeally, these follow-ups should establish a basis for collaboration between you and the founder.\n\n\nEach follow-up interview will be up to an hour long.\n\n\nDecisions may occur anytime between the interview and during the follow-up interviews. \n\n#Salary and compensation\n No salary data published by company so we estimated salary based on similar jobs related to Design, SaaS, Web3, Defi, Solidity, Finance, Cloud, Engineer, Backend and Digital Nomad jobs that are similar:\n\n $70,000 — $120,000/year\n \n\n#Location\nRemote; Sydney, Australia
