DeSci Labs is an open-source software startup with strong R&D capabilities, dedicated to building infrastructure and innovative products for scientific communication. Backed by $6.5M in funding from leading investors, our mission is to revolutionize the way science is published, validated, curated, and exchanged. We believe in openness, fairness, and truth-seeking.
What We're Building
Our products are designed to accelerate scientific progress by addressing the current systemโs shortcomings. We create tools that recognize and reward high-quality science, fostering an environment where the scientific community can thrive through genuine innovation and rigorous research.
Our first application is Nodes, an interactive online platform that lets researchers create, validate, and curate research objects. Research objects are versionable publications that contain a broad range of components such as manuscripts, data, code, and all other files and objects related to scientific research. We will import over 50 million open-access research articles into the Nodes platform this summer, which requires the development of powerful search, browse, sort, and filter functionalities. Nodes will also gain AI capabilities, social features, and unique metrics that require thoughtful product design. Furthermore, Nodes will evolve into a publication platform that enables research-owned scientific journals and communities without paywalls or author publication charges.
We are also developing CODEX (for โCollaborative Data Exchangeโ). This open scholarly infrastructure protocol aims to weave the truly persistent fabric of the scientific record, where publications and their artifacts can be addressed with high granularity in a participatory open-state repository.
These products will be combined with an incentive layer that rewards communities, journals, and referees for high-quality validation and curation services around scholarly content.
Culture
We value a collaborative and dynamic atmosphere. As a young startup, we support and encourage professional growth: We always find opportunities to expand our skill sets and take on new responsibilities.
We offer flexible remote work arrangements, but we recognize the value of face-to-face interaction for strengthening cohesiveness and creativity in our team. Thatโs why we offer office space in Amsterdam and bring the full team together at least once a year in inspiring locations. We are an equal-opportunity employer. Join us in shaping our dynamic and innovative company culture.

UX Engineer with a Passion for Investing
Variant Perception is a small investment team creating research and insights for sophisticated investors. We are known for building predictive models with innovative techniques. Our investment process is based on first principles thinking with empirical verification. We study history to understand how financial markets work and build systematic models using these insights.
We are looking for a UX Engineer to perfect our user interface. We need someone who can empathise with investors, understand their ideal workflow, and implement improvements: from UI components to cloud functions. Formal experience in finance is helpful but a passion for investing is key.
Your role on the team
You will begin by implementing features and improvements relating to user preferences, recommendations, and user interactions. Our โresearch portalโ is implemented in Typescript, Nextjs, and uses Firebase/GCP services extensively.
You will have a critical influence on style and design. Good design means usability, simplicity, and elegance. Investing is already hard enough. We want to remove cognitive load from users and create intuitive interactions that provide them with actionable insights.
Our quant team builds dashboards and web apps that cater to specific investor needs. The apps are embedded in the research portal. You will help design and productionize these apps.
Our end goal is to build natural language interfaces for our data, charts, and research insights. You will be a key contributor to this effort, alongside our data engineering team.
Ultimately, we want someone entrepreneurial to take ownership of the client facing product and help us build a better investing platform.
Are you a good fit?
You care deeply about user experience. You want to leverage technology to create happy and productive users.
You must believe it's possible to build predictive models for markets. If you believe in efficient markets, you will not like this job or our mission.
We have big goals for our team and rely on each other to achieve them. To be successful at VP you must be self-motivated, have trust in teammates, be forgiving of mistakes, be open-minded and above all enjoy figuring out problems, often from scratch.
To build the best platform we must experiment with new ideas and technologies. You should enjoy continuous learning.
Location
Our team is fully remote, with in-person offsites twice a year.

You will be working with product managers, engineers, and additional designers to get deep inside customer problems to craft and refine user stories while digging deep to generate and validate data in cross-functional collaboration to bring frequent value to Pixellu and its customers.
You will own the product development in the UX and design spaces, mentor other designers, and foster a creative, efficient, and scalable UX/UI design culture.
Your job will be to:
Research: Validate your hypothesis through directly conducting user research and testing.
Plan: Work with executives and product managers to help shape the product vision, strategy, and prioritization.
Prototype: Define the user experience, interactions, and user interface through user flows, information architecture, sketches and wireframes, and visual design. Build functional prototypes to validate and test user flows.
Design: Design simple, elegant, data-driven, user-centric experiences that delight users.
Lead: Lead our small team of product designers. Set standards, inspire, motivate, manage, and execute.

Obsession with simplicity and intuitive interactions
Mastery and appreciation of color, space, typography, iconography, illustration, and UX laws
Thorough knowledge of the latest trends in UX/UI

๐ ABOUT PIXELLU
At Pixellu, we know professional photographers are frustrated with all of the tedious work required to run a successful photography business. Many get so overwhelmed, they end up quitting on their dream of having a photography career. That is why we create easy-to-use, time-saving software that takes the work out of running a photography business so photographers can get back to doing what they love, creating art.
Pixellu was co-founded in 2010 by two wedding photographers. Faced with the challenges of long hours and endless tasks, we began asking ourselves, โHow can we save valuable time, make more money, and get our lives back?โ Our answer was technology. We started Pixellu with the idea that we could make money by providing an honest service that helped photographers save time and live more fulfilling lives. We believed that, by focusing on a great product and great service, we could build a business that not only does good, but also does well. ย Today, we are a team of 35 team members spread across 15 countries, serving tens of thousands of photographers in over 100 countries.
Our vision is for Pixellu to become the foundation of more than 1 million successful photography businesses, so that photographers can focus on doing what they love while we automate the rest of their work. What is Dtravel?
Dtravel is the first vacation rental platform with blockchain technology and web3 at its core. Our mission is to create a rewarding travel experience for everyone through direct connections. To achieve this mission we are working on building an ecosystem of products; Dtravel Direct, Dtravel Meridian and Dtravel Protocol.ย
Dtravel Direct - Allows hospitality operators to easily create a brand, drive new direct bookings, increase average checkout value, and reduce dependency on OTAs.
Dtravel Meridian - Enables travelers to collect digital mementos and rewards travelers for completing trips.ย
Dtravel Protocol - Enables travel industry participants to openly use and build on Dtravelโs global blockchain based distribution network to read, write and distribute listing data.
Join us in creating a more fair, transparent and rewarding travel experience.
Why Design at Dtravel?
If you are passionate about travel, you love problem solving, and youโre curious about web3, Dtravel is the place for you. As a Designer at Dtravel, youโll be working on problems at the forefront of the future of the internet and commerce, crafting solutions for the following:
Trust: How might we utilize โtrustlessโ mechanisms of blockchain technology to facilitate seamless peer-to-peer transactions and interactions between operators and guests with no middlemen or intermediaries? How might design thinking generate more consumer trust in web3 concepts, at large?
Governance & Community: How might we empower our community members to be active participants in shaping the future of our project? What will the design process look like when weโre designing with our community, rather than for them?
Dispute Resolution: What does the future of customer service look like without centralized intermediaries? How might we engage our DAO to resolve issues between community members?
Identity, Reputation & Credentials: How might we decentralize reviews and online reputation of operators and guests? What does a future travel industry look like when reputation and reviews arenโt contained inside each travel provider, but instead bridge across many different booking platforms?
Loyalty: How might the future of online reputation pave the way for new mechanisms of decentralized loyalty and rewards programs?
Education: How might we utilize education to create an easier on-ramp for more people to experience the benefits of ownership, freedom, and control that web3 has to offer?
What Will I be Working On?
This position offers the opportunity to work on ground-breaking products that will redefine the future of travel and commerce.
Hospitality operator tools: Define and design the tools short-term rental operators need to run their business as effectively and enjoyably as possible. This can include listing page creation and management, calendar and reservation management, marketing products, messaging tools, and more.
Guest and Operator loyalty programs: How might we reward guests and operators for positive behavior?
Guest and Operator referral programs: How can we make it easy and rewarding for our community to help grow itself?
Operator onboarding: How might we bring new operators onto the platform as easily as possible while educating them on new concepts, such as cryptocurrencies and DAOs? How might that experience differ for an owner-operator with one property vs a property manager with 1,000 properties?ย
Guest platform: Define and design the future of search, aggregation, wish lists, wallet infrastructure, listing pages, checkout flows, messaging, and more.ย
Governance tools: What does it look like when a community of thousands or millions of operators, guests, and token holders are submitting proposals and voting on the future of the protocol?
Am I the Right Culture Fit?
You are a good culture fit if you align with our values:
You value ownership
You believe the future of the internet is built around the foundational pillar of granting more ownership to people and communities, rather than centralized corporations
You put this value to practice by taking initiative to bring positive results and fully owning the entire process of your work from start to finish
You strike a balance between individual accountability and trusting in the ownership of your teammates.
You seek and give feedback, but are able to disagree and commit in the interest of progress
You value consciousness and intentionality
You listen to our community and are conscious of how your actions affect our team and community members
You are a direct, honest, and respectful communicator
You are always positive in your intentions and your tone
You communicate your intentions to build trust
You are idealistic
You believe that web3 technology will completely transform the world for the better
You are open to skeptics but are steadfast in your belief in our long-term mission of decentralization
You optimize for quality and longevity over a quick win or a flash in the pan
You are transparent
You maintain transparency with your teammates and our community
Youโre honest, communicative, and donโt keep secrets
You believe transparency is paramount in building trust
Do I Have the Necessary Skills?
We are looking to hire a strong design generalist โ someone who can facilitate the entire design process from research to prototyping to final execution.
Required skills
Rapid prototyping
You have the ability to visualize and demonstrate new ideas through prototypes our community and team can interact with
Visual and graphic design
You are a strong visual communicator
You have an eye for quality, detail, and polish
You can work with an engineering team to ensure implementation represents your work

Hi, weโre CompanyCam.
We create simple-to-use, visual-first communication and accountability tools for contractors. Imagine a B2B SaaS (business-to-business software-as-a-service) app that doesnโt look like garbage, built by a team of capable, laid-back people.
But donโt let the chill throw you off; weโre a fast-growing, product-led startup with big plans for the future.
The Role
The Director of Product Design is responsible for the vision and strategy for product design and user experience at CompanyCam. This person will oversee and develop a highly-collaborative team of Product Designers to deliver on this vision and empower them to reach their full potential.
Weโre looking for the person that will champion our belief that a world-class user experience is a product differentiator that will directly impact our companyโs goals for growth.
This role will collaborate with Product Management and Engineering in our product development process to deliver impactful product updates.
In this job you will...
Analyze, design, document and communicateย the short and long-term Product Design strategy.
Create a strategic design and user experience vision based on business objectives, market trends and user feedback that will inspire.
Lead, coach and developย a team of Product Designers in delivering a world-class user experience.
Developย meaningfulย goals for the Product Design teamย individually and collectively.
Collaborate on product strategy alongside product management and engineering, considering the business and technical constraints and impacts on the end users.
Work closely with Product Management and Engineering toward meaningful product updates.
You must...
Show upย every day, taking the courage to do the difficult but necessary stuff.
Grow upย constantly: you're OK working in an environment full of change. You take responsibility, love ownership, learn continuously, and have a growth mindset.

Experience leading UX strategies for people, process and product.
A track record of producing intuitive and visually appealing product experiences.
Reside permanently and currently in the United States.ย Sorry, we're not hiring outside the U.S. at this time, even if you're willing to work during U.S. time zones.
It'd be nice if you...
Have experience with launching successful apps forย B2B, B2C and/or SaaS products.
Have experience withย front-end development, pattern and component libraries.
Have experience leading workshops, design sprints and other co-design sessions.
How we work at CompanyCam:
CompanyCam is a fun, fast-paced team united by our core values ofย Show Up, Grow Up and Do Good. We trust you to do whatโs best for our product, customers, and team members and empower you to make the right calls without heavy bureaucracy.
Our product design team isย mostlyย located in Lincoln, Nebraska but across our product and engineering teams, we span every time zone in the United States. We welcome people fromย all backgroundsย and donโt really care whether you have a design degree or even a high school diploma. All that matters is that youโre good to work with and youโre great at what you do.
Our Product and Engineering departments also do things a little differently.
We use a customized version of Basecampโsย Shape Upย method (fused with empowered product teams a la Marty Cagan'sย Inspired) to organize and execute our work. We work in close-knit teams consisting of a product manager, a product designer, an engineering manager and other engineers to deliver value in 3-week cycles.
During cycles the team is focused on delivering product improvements, but everyone is also collaborating to shape (generate and vet) work for upcoming cycles. After each cycle your team will stop, reset, and choose to tackle another cycle or take aย cool-downย (a period of undirected work where youโll pursue educational opportunities, work on pet projects, or smash some bugs). Rinse and repeat.
Sounds nice, right?ย No sprinting, no scrumming, no death by 1,000 meetings. We protect our designers' time, treat them like adults, and trust them to get their work done. Weโre also big on not overworking people. Put in your eight hours of focused, quality work and then TURN. SLACK. OFF.ย No nights and weekends.
Our larger company culture is also refreshingly chill. We have fun, learn from each other, and donโt take ourselves too seriously.
We cover the important stuff too. Weย pay well,ย offerย unlimited vacation,ย meaningful equity,ย health insurance, andย other benefits.ย This is a salaried position at CompanyCam.ย Our starting salary range isย $140,000 to $150,000ย and is based on experience.ย
Ready to apply?
If you share our passion for serving our customers andย bringing truth and transparencyย to the contracting industry, weโd love to review your application!ย Are you reading this and wondering if you meetย everyย requirement? Studies show that workplace minorities, such as women and people of color, are less likely to apply for jobs unless they meet every single requirement. At CompanyCam, we pride ourselves on celebrating everyone. We are actively working on creating a diverse and inclusive work environment whereย everyone can thrive.ย If youโre interested in applying, do it! Even if your experiences donโt directly line up or you are โmissing that one thingโ. We are excited to read your application!

Who are we?
At RDX Works, we're a team of like-minded thinkers who have long been convinced that we're living in the earliest stages of a global financial revolution. This revolution is being fuelled by decentralized finance (or DeFi for short), which is enabling an assortment of pioneering developers and entrepreneurs to re-invent almost every financial product that is currently traded and invested in traditional markets, without requiring central authorities or siloed infrastructure. DeFi has captured a great deal of attention and investment in the crypto-aware niche, growing assets under management from $1 billion to over $200 billion in a few years. Impressive as its growth has been, its current market size isn't even a rounding error on the over $400 trillion held in traditional finance. We're focused on what it will take to go from billions to trillions.
RDX went back to first principles to come up with the right technical solutionโthe first layer-one protocol built specifically for mainstream DeFiโand we have already tested out at over 1 million transactions per second. We're keenly aware that the need for an infinitely scalable platform is only one prerequisite among many for mass adoption, and we're also blazing new ground in the areas of purpose-built developer tools, user experiences, and regulatory integration.
We have forged a path deep into the future of what distributed ledger technology is going to look like and we need you to come and be part of the team that is making that happen right now.
If this job sounds like it was made for you, then please apply directly via the link or if you donโt have an up to date CV to apply with, contact [email protected] for more information.
Alternatively, if you feel like you donโt match all of the requirements, we would love you to still apply anyway. This is also another reason we do not advertise salaries, we want to keep it as even a playing field as possible!
Here at RDX Works, we believe in being salary agnostic. This means that we pay salaries based on your expertise and what you can add to the business, aligning with London market rates; not based on your location or the economy of your country of residence.

About the job
As a tool for designers, we know what good design looks like and have a high bar for excellence. We design based on a deep understanding of the customer and their journey while using our product.
As a Senior Product Designer at TheyDo you will play a foundational role in shaping our modular Journey Management System that is changing the way millions of customer-centric professionals collaborate in large organizations.

Youโll be the bridge between customer needs and how the experience works, looks and feels.
What youโll do in this role
Talk to users. A lot. From regular interviews, shadowing sales and customer success calls, to running design critiques with our community members.
Understand the way our customers designย theirย products and services and how they might use TheyDo for that.
Work cross-functionally with product management, engineering and internal stakeholders to identify areas of improvement (opportunities) and prioritize themโcontributing to the overall direction of the product.
Prototype solutions to the opportunities and validate them with customers.
Design and ship high-quality features and improvements.
Shape the TheyDo Design Library.
Help establish our design culture and grow our team.
Opportunities youโll likely work on
How might we help our users to document and share the rigorous research and synthesis process they went through?
How might we present the exact right zoom level for each activity that the user does, from presenting a high level framework overview, to editing details within a journey?
How might we show what the impact of a new solution is on a customer journey once implemented?
How might we integrate analytics within customer journeys?
What you wonโt have to do
Spec features in excruciating detail. We bring our team of senior developers along throughout the whole design process, meaning gaps of knowledge donโt have to be filled in at the last moment by spelling everything out.
Ask for permission to explore interesting projects and avenues.
Workย withoutย customer feedback and input from colleagues.
Weโd love to hear from you if you:
Love tackling ambiguous problems and shaping them into clear goals.
Leverage prototyping skills to articulate your designs, and reach out for feedback early and often.
Value high-quality design, relish the craft and care about the details.
Have experience working with customer journeys and other research practices like customer interviewing.
Have a learning & growing mindset: our team size and the process will evolve many times over the next few years. We strive to improve and integrate what we learn continuously.
Are comfortable digging in and exploring. You not only like to discover new things on your own but love to take ideas further together with others.
At TheyDo, we believe in hiring smart, curious people who are excited to learn and develop their skills. If youโre excited about this role but your past experience doesnโt align perfectly with the job description we still encourage you to apply. You may be just the right candidate for this role.
What we offer
Remote position, for 4-5 days per week, across flexible working hours.
Collaborate with zealous colleagues with a lot of experience working in the field.
A unique opportunity to shape a product and our growing team.
Regular off-sites/company outings with the TheyDo team.

Why Jam.gg?
At the heart of Jam.ggโs mission is the creation of a new way to share games with friends and family: a free online place for gamers to play and hangout together, with video cameras, bringing back the golden era of multiplayer couch gaming. In a world of constraining internet connections and paid services, we think differently: we are building a free, โlow-techโ friendly platform for everyone to jump in, directly from their browser. Our platform is social by design and packed with fun games curated by our community. We want to create new virtual social spaces that fundamentally diverge from today's typical social networks, focusing a lot less on appearance and a lot more on experience. We are building a social gaming platform for gamers and for developers, opening new ways to interact with their community.
Our startup has been growing very quickly since the end of 2020, attracting more than 60 international talents from developers and social media experts to designers. In June 2021, we introduced our cloud gaming beta platform featuring 80+ licensed games, including titles from industry-renowned publishers such as Arc System Works, Interplay, Team 17, Coatsink and Data East. Our portfolio is rapidly evolving, with more than 25 free modern party titles arriving on the platform this year, from Overcooked to Blasphemous!ย
Discovered and supported by Y Combinator (Twitch, Reddit, Stripe, etc), our board of advisors include former SEGA CEO Kenji Matsubara, Zynga co-founders Justin Waldron and Tom Bollich, Crunchyrollโs Kun Gao, and Humble Bundleโs Jeffrey Rosen. Our last round was led by LEGO Ventures and top gaming VC firms.
