To learn more about ChainSafe, visit our website or check out our work on GitHub.\n\nHereโs what you need to know before reading on:\n\n\n* Our tech stack includes Go, Rust, and TypeScript\n\n* We spearhead ecosystem projects like Lodestar, Web3.js, Forest, and Gossamer\n\n* Our engineering department acts based on our principles\n\n\n\n\nWho we need\n\nA senior engineering manager with strong technical knowledge of blockchain protocols and a passion for Web3 ecosystems, who will be driving our protocol program's overall management and prosperity.\n\nResponsibilities\n\n\n* Manage and lead protocol teams, including mentoring, hiring and building best practices\n\n\n* Currently 3 protocol teams with 20+ engineers\n\n\n\n\n\n* Provide technical leadership and guidance on architecture and development methodologies\n\n* Drive the quarterly goals and strategic planning, ensuring alignment with business objectives\n\n* Encourage a healthy work environment where everyone feels respected, empowered and has sufficient time to enjoy life\n\n* Stakeholder communication and management, including sharing progress and insights, managing expectations and timelines\n\n* Establish and maintain trusted relationships with clients, partners and community across the ecosystems\n\n* Proactively researching the market and industry, sharing relevant insights with the teams and evaluating other opportunities for the protocol program\n\n\n\n\nRequirements\n\n\n* At least 5 years of experience in software development, with a proven track of team management capabilities\n\n* At least 2 years experience in web3 and a deep technical understanding of web3 technologies and at least one ecosystem (e.g. Ethereum, Polkadotโฆ)\n\n* Excellent communication and leadership skills\n\n* People manager with a servant leader mindset\n\n* Ability to work independently and as part of a team\n\n* Ability to navigate ambiguity through cross-functional collaboration and strategic decision-making\n\n* Intermediate proficiency in Go, Rust, or TypeScript\n\n\n\n\nBonus points\n\n\n* Experience working with open-source software\n\n* Prior experience managing remote teams\n\n\n\n\nHiring Steps\n\n\n* Selected candidates will be invited to a 30-minute screening call with one of our tech recruiters.\n\n* Next, candidates will be invited to a 60-minute alignment interview.\n\n* Then, candidates will be invited to a 60-minute technical interview.\n\n\n\n\nWe strongly encourage you to apply even if you donโt fit all the requirements.
