At BlueLabs we're combining the buzzing world of sports betting with modern tech and a great engineering culture. Our fully remote team of 20+ engineers owns our multi-tenant sports betting platform end-to-end. It consists of tens of microservices in a handful decoupled domains, orchestrated by a terraform-provisioned Kubernetes cluster, achieving high scalability thanks to an event-driven architecture based on Apache Pulsar. We follow modern CI/CD and agile methodologies to deploy into production multiple times per day and use Datadog to monitor our infrastructure and applications.\n\nWe're now looking for a Lead Frontend Engineer to join our Client Team. You'll manage our team of frontend engineers and play a key role in the development of our player-facing web and mobile applications using latest technologies. We're open to experiment with new and emerging technologies - our application is built using SvelteKit and we utilise TypeScript for the entire codebase to improve code quality and reliability.\n\n\n## Responsibilities\n* Manage and lead our 4-strong frontend engineering team implementing robust and rich, usable, frontend experiences\n* Oversee the scope and implementation of new features and systems that are reliable, performant, and secure at scale\n* Spend the majority of your time with actual engineering work, contributing to the codebase\n* Collaborate with software engineers, product managers and designers in an autonomous, supportive team environment\n* Solve problems in a highly technical platform that is onboarding tens of thousands of new players every month\n* Take ownership of the whole software development life cycle - architecture, development, testing, deployment, monitoring\n* Take part in our on-call rotation every few weeks — we build it, we run it\n* Mentor other engineers on best practices, code design considerations, and quality\n* Improve our planning, development, and deployment processes to help you and your team members\n\nHowever, that's not all! At BlueLabs, we encourage you to contribute wherever your interests take you — and shape your role and our product accordingly.\n\n## Compensation\nThe compensation range for this role is €70,000 to €100,000 annually, depending on your background and experience. We encourage you to read our Recruitment FAQs for further details. In addition to the monetary compensation, we provide a number of perks to all team members, including a shiny new MacBook 16" M1 Pro or Linux laptop.\n\n## Job requirements\n* 5+ years experience in developing complex responsive web applications, of these 2+ years managing and scaling engineering teams in a growth environment\n* Experience with Typescript or with strongly typed languages\n* Solid experience with at least one major frontend framework and willingness to work with Svelte\n* Proficient user of a modern development toolchain: linters, package managers, bundlers, Git, continuous integration pipelines and familiarity with automated testing frameworks\n* Value accountability and will support your team in reaching their fullest potential\n* Excellent communication in verbal and written English with both technical and business parties\n\n#### Nice to have\n* Experience with Node.js and full-stack development\n* Experience with logging and monitoring tools\n* Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud infrastructure providers (Google Cloud)\n* An interest in sports or experience with sports betting \n\nBe sure to mention the word **LAWFUL** when applying to show you read the job post completely. This is a beta feature to avoid spam applicants. Companies can search these words to find applicants that read this and see they're human.\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n $80,000 — $120,000/year\n \n\n#Location\nEU & Europe

Our software enables thousands of customers—from individuals to Fortune 500—to think and collaborate in the new era of distributed work.\n\nWe’re now looking for a Lead Product Manager to take part in our efforts to build tools that make online work better.\n\n## About The Role\n\nAs a product-led company our product managers are essential in driving Whimsical’s success by solving hard problems and delivering value for both our users and the company. You will have direct impact on most parts of the company in close partnership with your cross-functional team (product management, design and engineers) and the management.\n\nOur process is loosely based on [Shape Up](https://basecamp.com/shapeup). We write a lot, comment, iterate and play (using Whimsical of course ;)) with our pitches. We work in a dual-track process where you as a product manager shape and discover future products while working with your team on delivering features directly to customers. Our product teams are cross-functional teams inspired by [Marty Cagan](https://svpg.com/)’s two books Inspired and Empowered. \n\nYou will be reporting to our VP Product [Niklas Stephenson](https://www.linkedin.com/in/niklasstephenson/).\n\nYour responsibilities include: \n\n- Deliver valuable, viable, usable and feasible products\n- Own and drive all aspects (including vision) of one or more specific products within Whimsical\n- Write pitches that highlight why a specific solution will help us achieve your team’s goals (OKR), you will also help other co-workers to do so\n- Evaluate product initiatives and kill darlings as fast as possible\n- Excite every co-worker about what we are building\n- Develop relationships with all types of customers, know what they think, how we fail to help them and what value our products deliver\n- Deliver products that embody Whimsical's love for craftsmanship\n- Underpin all of the above with clear data, facts and strong messaging\n\n## Your first quarter at Whimsical\n\nAt the end of your first quarter at Whimsical you will:\n\n- Feel at home, know the awesome people here and how we work\n- Have taken an active role in hiring a Product Designer for your team\n- Understand the core data of your slice of the product and the general core KPIs for Whimsical\n- Know what makes the users of your product tick, and where we are failing today\n- Research, write pitches and delivered your first features together with your team\n- Have taught Niklas (our VP of Product) something he did not know about product management\n\n## About You\n\nWe’re looking for someone with proven track record of product management in rapidly growing SaaS companies.\n\n- Demonstrated understanding of the techniques and methods of modern product discovery and product delivery\n- 5 years experience working on technology-powered products as either a product manager, product designer, engineer, data analyst, data scientist, or user researcher\n- Proven ability to engage with engineers, designers, and company leaders in a constructive and collaborative relationship\n- Deep appreciation for design and craftsmanship, you care about what we build and how we build it\n- Comfortable with the fast-paced, ambiguous environment of a start-up\n- Based in North America\n\n## What We Offer\n\n- **100% Remote**: We’re spread from California to Latvia and we’ve got you covered if you prefer to work from a coworking space. \n\n- **Salary**: Annual salary starting at **$167,847**\n\n- **Equity**: starting at 0.5%\n\n**_- Vacation: _**_4 weeks of paid time off each year_\n\n**_- Parental Leave_**_: 4 weeks paid by company_\n\n**_- Equipment: _**_We provide all the tech you need to work successfully. _\n\n**_- Summits: _**_We try to bring everyone together at least twice a year when possible _\n\n**_- Pension: 401k with 6% company matching _**\n\n**_- Health Insurance*_**: Paid by company for you and dependents\n\nYou can read more about how we [think about compensation on our blog](https://whimsical.com/blog/guide-to-compensation). \n\n## About Whimsical\n\nWhimsical was founded in 2017 by Kaspars Dancis and Steve Schoeffel to help teams be more effective in the distributed and fully digital work environment.\n\nWhimsical's product is expressive, fast, and delightful. We believe that software should spark joy, not dread.\n\nWe are a remote-first company and big proponents of remote work because it democratizes the opportunities for people everywhere.\n\nOur operating philosophy is based on set of core principles, such as:\n\n- **Sustainability:** We don't believe in growth at all costs. Growth is a fundamental part of a healthy existence but we want it to be in balance with sustainability and bounded by ethical behavior. We strive to work calm, 40-hour work weeks.  Whimsical is also committed to doing our part towards [**sustainable future for the planet**](https://whimsical.com/blog/on-the-path-to-sustainability). \n\n- **Craftsmanship:** We care deeply about our work. We are specialists, eager learners, and persistent in our pursuit of quality work. We're patient and committed because building great things takes time.\n\n- **Long-term focus:** We're building Whimsical for the long-haul, not a quick exit. We avoid shortcuts and consider every key decision from a 10+ year perspective. \n\n- **Partnership Mindset:** We’ve built the company around the idea that everybody who joins us should feel like they are partners in the business. Time is precious and we want Whimsical to be the place where people invest their time rather than sell it. Our equity offers are 100% transparent and above market average. We also pay everyone at the same level the same salary, no matter where they live.\n \n\nBe sure to mention the words **CLIFF THERE GAZE** when applying to show you read the job post completely. # Role\nWe are looking for a passionate Backend Engineer that wants to own and help shape our microservices architecture. The main responsibility for this role is to produce high quality code that is robust, including designing data models for scalability and performance.\n \nOne area our application is growing into is Documents management, so having previous experience in similar problems areas, like revision and approval workflows, auditing of projects, access control levels (ACL) is a big plus for this position.\n\nPrevious experience on managing projects and leading a team of developers is a prerequisite for this role. You will be working as part of a small and highly effective 100% remote team, taking part in major technical decisions, defining technical requirements, scoping and helping to create new features for our Bimsync application with the team. \n\nAs one of the lead developers in the team, you are expected to have a good structural thinking, being able to break-down complex problems into smaller parts that can be delivered to production independently in a timeboxed fashion. \n# What we are looking for\nWe believe in a growing and learning mindset, where people will be up to face a new challenge and learn a new technology when needed. Thus, having the right skills and a positive attitude to learning is more important for us than the degree. A BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related subject is important, as we value an understanding of the fundamentals, but it’s not a prerequisite.\n\nWe define ourselves as an agile company, so being open for feedback and adapting to change is core to being a good fit to our team. Our company's working language is English, so we expect all candidates to effectively communicate (written and spoken).\n\nAs a lead developer, you are expected to be an excellent communicator, able to consider different points of view (Product, Sales, other devs) and manage these expectations in order to settle and deliver on a plan.\n\nYou should have a very good understanding of backend technologies and the different challenges of creating backend services that are cloud native, having previously developed applications in the public cloud (AWS preferably). We expect a strong intimacy with Java, as most of our backend stack is written in this language. We also look for proficient knowledge of databases, both SQL and NoSQL, to tune and shape the best data structures for each specific microservice. Another important point is having familiarity with REST APIs and a good understanding of backwards compatibility for public APIs. An interest and an ability to fix and contribute to the frontend React code is a bonus point for this position.\n\nThis position is open for fully remote, but has a requirement of being located in the EU.\n# What we offer\nYou will be part of an amazing journey to transform the construction industry with a bold and caring team. Along this path, we will challenge each other, have difficult open conversations and develop, as we learn.\n\nIn addition to the above, we will also take care of you and provide you with the right challenges for growth. Some of our benefits:\n\n* Paid time off (25 vacation days per year)\n* Flexible working hours\n* Full remote possible\n* Share options program\n* Company gatherings twice a year (in person when possible again)\n\n# Location\n**EU**\n\n# About Catenda\nCatenda is a Norwegian scale-up company with a global ambition to make the construction industry data-driven, with less waste and greater transparency along the way.\n\nOur company values are: Openness and Quality.\n\nWe believe in open standards for all our customer data to achieve interoperability between applications, from inception, through design and construction onto the maintenance of a building. Another core belief is that our customers should have full control over their data: all data that goes in, can also be exported out.\n\nWe value quality of the code and the product by working as a tight and effective distributed development team, preferably asynchronously, often sharing screens to collaborate. Catenda has offices in Oslo and Bergen, composed by an international team of 10+ nationalities working remotely across the EU.\n\nOur solution, Bimsync, is a cloud-based collaboration platform, consisting of a web application, a mobile application and our APIs. Many companies across the world are using our products to build better airports, hospitals, stadiums, homes and roads.\n\nOur technology stack runs 100% on AWS, using the most appropriate technology for the problem at hand. Our backend is mostly in Java and we are currently using different managed databases in our backend, like PostgreSQL, MySQL and DocumentDB. Our frontend is in Javascript, using React and React Native for our mobile app (iOS and Android).\n\n \n\nBe sure to mention the words **FEEL HEALTH ANTIQUE** when applying to show you read the job post completely. This is a beta feature to avoid spam applicants. Companies can search these words to find applicants that read this and see they're human.\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n $80,000 — $110,000/year\n \n\n#Location\nEu

Hello there!\n\nAre you ready for a really ambitious position as a .NET team-lead at Likvido? \nAnd yes, the role is *fully remote*.\n\nLikvido is a (very) fast-growing startup. We are 25 employees now, and we have just raised a seed round to realize our huge ambitions for the coming years. \n\nWe’re now looking for a senior & experienced .NET team-lead to lead our application team.\n \n**So what are we doing?**\n\nWe’re helping small companies succeed.\n\nWe’ve built an “Invoice CRM” - imagine a system like Hubspot / Pipedrive / Salesforce, but for your invoices. You can assign workflows, add todos, write notes and much more. We’re currently only in Denmark, but the platform is international and ready to scale internationally in 2020.\n\nOn top of the “Invoice CRM”, we’re going to launch financial products. Imagine, when you create the invoice - we will automatically pay our client the majority of the invoice - RIGHT away! BEFORE their client even paid! How cool is that?\n\nThis is possible because we have full control of the payment flow, and we have a very large data-set our data scientists are using for transaction-level credit ratings. This makes it possible to only provide loans on low-risk invoices.\n\nThe goal is to help small companies succeed. We have ~1.250 customers right now, and we’re adding 1-200 customers every month. In a few years, we should have millions of invoices through the system every month.\n\n\n# Responsibilities\n Our platform is ~18 months old. We have a big monolith ASP.NET MVC application, combined with 4 solid ASP.NET Core microservices. Everything is hosted in Azure and Github, and we use many of the Azure products, including Azure DevOps. \n\nWe’re 5 full-time fully remote developers, and 4 part-timers. We plan to double the team in 2020.\n\n**The job:**\nWe’re going to make 2 development teams. One team is responsible for the microservices, another is responsible for the “Invoice CRM” application. We already have a great team-lead for the microservice team, and now we’re looking for \nanother great team-lead for the application team.\n\n**Being the team-lead, your job will be:**\n* Solve the hardest technical challenges in the code - you’re expected to code roughly 50% of the time\n* Manage the bi-weekly sprints - it’s your job to make sure the sprints are successful and Github (our issue system) is always updated\n* Make pull request reviews (or request another team member to do so)\n* Make core technical & architectural decisions on the platform\n* Release code & make sure the releases go well\n \nYou will be working closely together with our product manager, our client success manager, our operations manager and me - the CTO. \n\nAs a CTO, it’s very important for me to get out of the day-to-day operations of development. I will still be heavily involved, but if I’m away for a few weeks - all the sprints & activities should not be affected. Your job is to make this possible. \n\nYour job is to make me obsolete day-to-day.\n \n\n# Requirements\nWe’re looking for someone who can say “YES!” to the following:\n\n* I’m a senior developer with many years of experience, with prior experience in managing a team and running sprints\n* I’m a real senior & experienced backend .NET / C# developer\n* I’m not faint of heart, and I’m ready for a very ambitious role\n* I’m cool with spending at least 4 weeks per year (preferably 6-8 weeks) in the Copenhagen office, starting with 2 weeks when hired\n* I’m working within +/- 3 hours of CET (Central European Timezone)\n \nA last note. Likvido is not an easy choice. We will have sky-high expectations, you will be challenged and you will have lots of responsibilities. \n\nTo compensate for this, we offer a competitive salary and a remote leadership position.\n\nSo without further ado: If you consider yourself a top .NET developer, and feel like having a very ambitious role is the next step in your career - APPLY!\n\n \n\nBe sure to mention the words **CLEAN BEHIND WHISPER** when applying to show you read the job post completely. This is a beta feature to avoid spam applicants. Companies can search these words to find applicants that read this and see they're human.\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n /year\n \n\n#Location\n🌏 Worldwide

Abstract is a design workflow management platform supporting modern design teams with version control, file management, and team collaboration. Abstract is a technically ambitious product and we’re looking forward to seeing how you can contribute to these goals. The best candidates will be capable and enthusiastic about building out a world-class team and product with us. \n \nAt Abstract, we are actively working to build a diverse and inclusive organization. Here, diversity includes age, economic class, educational background, ethnic variance, familial status, gender, gender expression, gender identity, marital status, national origin, religious affiliation, sex, sexual orientation, transgender status, or veteran status. \n \nAbstract is headquartered in San Francisco and is backed by Amplify Partners, Cowboy Ventures, First Round Capital, Scale Venture Partners and others. We announced our $16MM series B funding in May 2018.\n\n----\n \nAbstract is looking for an engineering manager to help lead our growing Desktop team. At Abstract we develop desktop and web applications that help teams design with confidence by providing a version control system and collaboration platform focused on design artifacts.\n \nAt Abstract we lead by serving our teams with empathy, knowledge, and coordination. Our engineering team is very distributed within the U.S., so experience working remotely is ideal, but not necessarily required.\n \nAs a Desktop team lead we're more interested in your experience with leadership than your experience with Objective-C or Go, but some experience with Objective-C, Go, or a similarly compiled systems programming language is a skill we think will help you lead your team.\n \nBenefits\nAt Abstract, we offer resources that emphasize personal and familial well-being. We provide 99% healthcare coverage, including dental, vision, and life insurance. We offer 10 weeks parental leave, unlimited paid-time off, and flexible working arrangements.\n \nTo help employees plan for the future, we're able to offer competitive pay and a 401k program. New teammates receive a MacBook Pro. \n \nWe are a distributed team and we are able to offer US-based remote employment for most roles. We offer travel opportunities for company gatherings, team meet-ups, and the occasional conference.\n \n \nNotes\nThough we're a distributed team, we're currently only able to hire US-based candidates.\n \nAs part of our security protocols, offers are contingent on successful completion of a background check.\n\n# Responsibilities\n In a typical week as a Software Engineering Team Lead, you will:\n* Join the engineering leadership team in discussing and planning projects. You’ll be working with a growing group of engineering leads with extensive startup backgrounds on setting the direction for our engineering team and the entire company.\n* Lead a staff meeting of your team discussing project status, new projects, and ongoing Desktop development improvements we can make. Help your team members collaborate with each other to improve our Desktop code.\n* Get to know and help your direct reports by meeting with them one on one.\n* Help us grow the engineering team by interviewing and hiring new engineers. \n\n# Requirements\nPractical skills you'll need for success:\n* Empathy. You see your team members first and foremost as people with inestimable worth and you always operate from that basis.\n* Strong communication. Our team leads are primarily communicators, so you've got to the the kind of person who succeeds on your skills with both writing and speaking.\n* Organization. You're someone who creates structures to organize the information you're receiving.\n* Coordination. You're someone who is good at connecting people to help them get their jobs done, and at connecting knowledge.\n* Experience. You’ve been an engineer and while maybe you’re not writing code day-to-day, you’re able to hold your own discussing strategy and architecture with engineers. You’ve worked with Objective-C, Go, or another systems programming language.\n\nBonus points if you have:\n* Worked as a team lead at a very small company that transitioned to a larger company\n* Worked extensively with git. Even more bonus points if you’ve also worked with git’s internals \n\nBe sure to mention the words **LIVE SKIRT BELT** when applying to show you read the job post completely.
