Obol Labs is hiring a
Remote Senior Software Engineer Infrastructure

Who Are We?\nObol Labs is a remote-first research and software development team focused on Proof of Stake infrastructure for public blockchain networks. Specific topics of focus are Internet Bonds, Distributed Validator Technology, and Multi-Operator Validation. The core team includes 14 members spread across 8 countries.\nThe core team is building the Obol Network, a protocol to foster trust-minimized staking through multi-operator validation. This will enable low-trust access to Ethereum staking yield, which can be used as a core building block in various Web3 products.\nThe Network\nThe network can be best visualized as a work layer that sits directly on top of the base layer consensus. This work layer is designed to provide the base layer with more resiliency and decentralization as it scales. In this chapter of Ethereum, we will move on to the next great scaling challenge, which is stake centralization. Layers like Obol are critical to the long-term viability and resiliency of public networks, especially networks like Ethereum.\nObol as a layer is focused on scaling main chain staking by providing permissionless access to Distributed Validators. The network utilizes a middleware implementation of Distributed Validator Technology (DVT), to enable the operation of distributed validator clusters that can preserve validators' current client and remote signing configurations.\nSimilar to how roll-up technology laid the foundation for L2 scaling implementations, we believe DVT will do the same for scaling the consensus layer while preserving decentralization. Staking infrastructure is entering its protocol phase of evolution, which must include trust-minimized staking networks that can be plugged into at scale. We believe DVT will evolve into a widely used primitive and will ensure the security, resiliency, and decentralization of public networks.\nThe Obol Network develops and maintains four core public goods that will eventually work together through circular economics:\n\nThe DV Launchpad, a User Interface for bootstrapping and managing Distributed Validators\n\n\nCharon, a middleware Golang client that enables validators to run in a fault-tolerant, distributed manner\n\n\nObol Managers, a set of solidity libraries for the formation of Distributed Validators tailored to different use cases such as DeFi, Liquid Staking, and Fractionalized Deposits \n\n\nObol Testnets, a set of ongoing public incentivized testnets that enable any sized operator to test their deployment before serving for the Ethereum Main net\n\nSustainable Public Goods\nObol is inspired by previous work on Ethereum public goods and experimenting with circular economics. We believe that to unlock innovation in staking use cases, a credibly neutral layer must exist for innovation to flow and evolve vertically. Without this layer, highly available uptime will continue to be a moat.\nThe Obol Network will become an open, community-governed, self-sustaining project over the coming months and years. Together we will incentivize, build, and maintain distributed validator technology that makes public networks a more secure and resilient foundation to build on top of.\nJob Description\nThe Infrastructure team at Obol is looking for talented and experienced engineers to help us build and support our infrastructure. Join our growing organization and you will get a chance to be in the driving seat of innovation and change at Obol.\nAs an infrastructure Software Engineer, your primary role will be building, monitoring, and ensuring the reliability of our globally distributed infrastructure that powers Obolโ€™s network for thousands of DVT clusters. You will develop solutions, tools, and processes to increase developers' productivity and promote DevOps culture across the engineering teams while adhering to the industry security best practices and world-class quality measures.\nResponsibilities\n\n\n\n* Build an enterprise-grade software development lifecycle that grows with the Obol team\n\n* Automate blockchain infrastructure provisioning in cloud environments based on GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Helm.\n\n* Drive a culture of automation, both within the team and throughout the organization, to scale Obolโ€™s efficiently and reliably\n\n* Build tools, processes, scripts, and CICD workflows (Github Actions) that help accelerate the engineering team so we can deliver better products faster.\n\n* Ensure Obolโ€™s cloud platform's high availability, reliability, security, and performance through implementing observability and SRE standards and building monitoring infrastructure with tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and VictoriaMetrics.\n\n* Performing blameless post-mortems whenever thereโ€™s an unplanned outage.\n\n* Participate in technical discussions to aid system design, analysis, and troubleshooting\n\n* Assessment of current and future systems to ensure they adhere to security standards\n\n* Writing clear documentation around infrastructure code and development tooling so that itโ€™s easy to understand, use, and modify\n\n* Participate in the Ethereum ecosystem events from the DevOps side.\n\n\n\nWhat you will like about us\n\n\n\n* Building a world-class infrastructure that empowers a leading blockchain and Ethereum technology.\n\n* Solving groundbreaking problems in distributed cryptography and cryptoeconomics\n\n* Opportunity to collaborate with industry-leading cryptography researchers and advisors\n\n* Opportunity to collaborate with industry-leading validators\n\n* Opportunity to collaborate with Ethereum core client teams\n\n* Twice annual Global Off-sitesAnnual opportunity to attend DevCon (or a blockchain conference of choice)\n\n* Competitive compensation and benefits.\n\n\n๐Ÿ•ฐ๏ธ In order to scale efficiently, we focus our hiring on candidates able to work during the standard business hours of the following timezones: GMT-8 to GMT+3. This does not mean that you have to be located in these timezones to get the job but must be able to work the bulk of your time during their standard business hours. \n\n#Salary and compensation\n No salary data published by company so we estimated salary based on similar jobs related to Web3, Solidity, Ethereum, DevOps, Cloud, Senior, Golang and Engineer jobs that are similar:\n\n $70,000 — $125,000/year\n \n\n#Location\nWorldwide

Obol Labs is hiring a
Remote Senior Software Engineer Solidity

Together we will incentivize, build, and maintain distributed validator technology that makes public networks a more secure and resilient foundation to build on top of.\nSenior Software Engineer, Solidity\n\nSenior Solidity Engineers are passionate about decentralization and have a thorough understanding of the EVM. This role is responsible for driving the direction of the Obol Manager smart contract implementation(s) from early architecture and design documents, through to gas golfing and layer 2 scaling; while building up a professional smart contract engineering team in the process. At Obol we are stripping Ethereum clients down to their fundamentals and rebuilding them in a highly-available by default, byzantine tolerant architecture, capable of being run by multiple operators. This project will push the envelope on distributed systems and their coordination via smart contracts beyond what has been seen in the space to date.\n\nResponsibilities\n\n\n\n* Develop EVM smart contracts for the provisioning of Ethereum validators\n\n* Build an enterprise grade smart contract development lifecycle that grows with the Obol team\n\n* Develop robust smart contract testing infrastructure. (unit, symbolic, mainnet-fork, fuzz, etc)\n\n* Manage professional smart contract deployment and monitoring processes\n\n* Participate in the technical interview process\n\n* Develop hackathon friendly smart contract template repos for people to try out Obol \n\n* Develop integration smart contracts into existing liquid staking solutions\n\n* Oversee the solidity audit process pre-mainnet\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat you will like about us\n\n\n\n* Developing open source public goods for permissionless networks\n\n* Solving groundbreaking problems in distributed cryptography and cryptoeconomics\n\n* Competitive compensation and benefits\n\n* Twice annual Global Off-sites\n\n* Annual opportunity to attend DevCon (or a blockchain conference of choice)\n\n* Opportunity to collaborate with industry leading cryptography researchers and advisors\n\n* Opportunity to collaborate with industry leading validators\n\n* Opportunity to collaborate with Ethereum core client teams\n\n\n\n\n๐Ÿ•ฐ๏ธ In order to scale efficiently, we focus our hiring on candidates able to work during the standard business hours of the following timezones: GMT-8 to GMT+3. This does not mean that you have to be located in these timezones to get the job but must be able to work the bulk of your time during their standard business hours.\nโš ๏ธ This role has been hired for but we are keeping the application open as we are growing fast and are always open to great talent โš ๏ธ \n\n#Salary and compensation\n No salary data published by company so we estimated salary based on similar jobs related to Solidity, Design, Web3, Ethereum, Testing, Senior, Golang, Engineer and Digital Nomad jobs that are similar:\n\n $60,000 — $130,000/year\n \n\n#Location\nWorldwide

Obol Labs is hiring a
Remote Senior Software Engineer GoLang

Together we will incentivize, build, and maintain distributed validator technology that makes public networks a more secure and resilient foundation to build on top of.\nSenior Software Engineer, GoLang\nSenior Software Engineers are polymaths with experience across all layers of the technology stack. This role is responsible for driving the direction of the Obol DVT implementation(s) from early architecture and design documents, to performance tuning and scaling and building up a professional engineering team in the process. At Obol we are stripping Ethereum clients down to their fundamentals and rebuilding them in a highly-available by default, byzantine tolerant architecture, capable of being run by multiple operators. This project will push the envelope on distributed systems and coordination via smart contracts beyond what has been seen in the space to date.\nResponsibilities\n\n\n\n* Developing open source public goods for permissionless networks\n\n* Start and grow a professional engineering department within Obol\n\n* Work with advisors and stakeholders to develop Obol products\n\n* Solve technical problems of the highest scope, complexity, and ambiguity with autonomy\n\n* Play a central role in technical, business, and organizational contributions\n\n* Management and responsibility for Technical milestones and development teams\n\n* Interview technical hires\n\n* Present key technical findings and solutions to the Obol core team\n\n* Build GoLang based HTTP clients, servers and validators\n\n* Build web-related infrastructure for supporting our testnets and production deployments\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat you will like about us\n\n\n\n* Solving groundbreaking problems in distributed cryptography and cryptoeconomics\n\n* Competitive compensation and benefits\n\n* Twice annual Global Off-sites\n\n* Annual opportunity to attend DevCon (or a blockchain conference of choice)\n\n* Opportunity to collaborate with industry leading cryptography researchers and advisors\n\n* Opportunity to collaborate with industry leading validators\n\n* Opportunity to collaborate with Ethereum core client teams\n\n\n\n\n๐Ÿ•ฐ๏ธ In order to scale efficiently, we focus our hiring on candidates able to work during the standard business hours of the following timezones: GMT-8 to GMT+3. This does not mean that you have to be located in these timezones to get the job but must be able to work the bulk of your time during their standard business hours. \n\n#Salary and compensation\n No salary data published by company so we estimated salary based on similar jobs related to Design, Web3, Solidity, Ethereum, Senior, Golang, Engineer and Digital Nomad jobs that are similar:\n\n $60,000 — $130,000/year\n \n\n#Location\nWorldwide

Tailorbird, Inc. is hiring a
Remote Principal Full Stack Developer

About the Company\n\nTailorbird's vision is to organize any renovation, instantly. Within the multifamily real estate industry, our mission is to earn the trust of owners, contractors, and suppliers to help them move faster, remove risks, and improve outcomes. We're backed by NFX, Bloomberg Beta, Fifth Wall, Moderne Ventures, FJ Labs, and Kleiner Perkins.\n\nWeโ€™re building the โ€œEasy Buttonโ€ for elegant home renovations, using analytics and automation to accelerate acquisition and renovation of large multi-family assets. Our proprietary software extracts deep digital models of interior residential spaces using publicly available data, and we use this data to accurately estimate budgets and identify project risks upfront, thus avoiding costly execution delays and rework costs. We are currently in hyper-growth mode and proud to have some of the largest and most reputable owners, contractors, and suppliers as our customers in the US!\n\nWeโ€™re a global organization with distributed teams in the US, Latin America and India, and our HQ is located on the campus of Princeton University in Princeton, NJ.\nAbout the Role\n\nYou will be our principal full-stack developer for Tailorbird web and mobile applications.  You will be a senior leader working across scrum teams and responsible for designing and implementing new component and services. You will be a player-coach with a track record of recruiting and building high performance feature teams. This is the most senior technical role in our organization. You will closely work with a talented team of other senior developers and the chief architect to build highly responsive web and mobile applications. As an early hire in a fast-growing startup, you will have a tremendous opportunity to grow as a leader, responsible for both product delivery and organizational growth. Our tech stack consists of ReactJS and NodeJS with MongoDB and PostgreSQL  as storage.  We also use Python for data-intensive server side services. \nThis role is remote in India.\nYouโ€™ll Get To\n\n\n* Architect and design new components and services for the Tailorbird Platform\n\n* Develop end2end  application logic using React.js, Node.js with Typescript or Python\n\n* Closely work with product managers, business operation associates, senior developers, and the chief architect to influence product engineering decisions\n\n* Closely work with key business leaders to understand product roadmaps and continuously evaluate Tailorbird design choices\n\n\n\nWeโ€™re Looking For\n\n\n* 6+ years of full stack web and mobile application development experience, with at least 3 years as a player-coach responsible for direct hiring and growing the team.\n\n* BS/MS from a tier-1 college or university with CS/CES/EE as a major is highly desired.\n\n* Proven track record of referenceable, successful mentees.\n\n* Experience building enterprise class applications on AWS cloud infrastructure.\n\n* Demonstrable ability to quickly master new frameworks.\n\n* Excellent soft skills - you are a naturally charismatic, thoughtful communicator who is practiced in influencing others and obtaining stakeholder buy-in.\n\n\n\nWhy Tailorbird \n\nOur Founders are experienced entrepreneurs and Fortune 100 executives with proven operating experience to launch and scale new ventures, and a history of successful company exits. This is not a "clock in, clock out" type of environment. You are expected to balance the freedom of flexible working hours with the responsibility of delivering on time and excellent work.\n\n* Startup environments will undoubtedly test your tolerance for ambiguity. We don't always have the answer. Sometimes, you'll be given a high-level objective and you will need to devise a plan to execute on time.\n\n* Building a product requires inner calm and motivation: the ability to not grow frustrated if a process changes or a mistake is made is critical for success. \n\n\n\nBenefit & Perks\n\n\nOpportunity for equity in an early-stage, venture-backed company.\n\nOpen PTO policy\n\nCompany-paid medical/dental/vision insurance for employees and dependents.\n\n\n\nTailorbird is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing all employees with a work environment free of discrimination and harassment.
