Remote Product Designer Competitive

\n\nYour Role\n\nWe're on the lookout for a talented Product Designer to join our team and be dedicated to crafting cutting-edge tools for high school athletics. As the technology landscape in American high school sports evolves, Hudl is at the forefront, integrating video and data into practices and games. \n\nIn this role, youโ€™ll: \n\n\n* Focus on the customer. Youโ€™ll shape, conduct and translate user research to help the team understand latent needs beyond the basics of what users say they want, digging deeper into the โ€œwhyโ€ behind user feedback. Youโ€™ll create actionable insights that will help drive physical and digital product experience strategy and design.\n\n* Be a visual and verbal storyteller. Youโ€™ll craft and communicate compelling concepts that are forward-facing, differentiated, and relevant to customer and business needs. \n\n* Add clarity to ambiguous problem spaces. Youโ€™ll tease out the important characteristics of users, their environments, and the marketโ€™s expectations to support prioritized and intuitive experiences.\n\n* Collaborate. By forming close partnerships with multi-disciplinary counterparts in Engineering, Product, Design, Scrum and Quality, youโ€™ll help define requirements and deliver clear and focused digital user experiences.\n\n* Design process, quality and delivery. Youโ€™ll advocate for tactility, accessibility, customer needs and design excellence, all as you shepherd your project to release. After delivering on-time solutions, youโ€™ll measure and own the results of how well those solutions address design and product needs.\n\n\n\n\nFor this role, we're currently considering candidates who live within a commuting distance of our offices in Lincoln or Omaha, Nebraska. But with our flexible work policy, there aren't any current requirements for the number of days you come to the office.\nMust-Haves\n\n\n* Strong communicator. You thrive in a collaborative environment that fosters open and honest communication. You have excellent presentation skills and can confidently sell ideas based on solid rationale and objectives from cross-functional teams. Youโ€™re comfortable being respectfully blunt when giving and receiving feedback. \n\n* Iterative prototyping skills. Youโ€™re proficient at using low and high fidelity prototyping tools and wireframing techniques based on the needs of the project.\n\n* A problem-solver. You have the ability to think critically and holistically about user interactions, and can address complex design challenges to provide innovative solutions that factor in technical, business and design constraints. \n\n* Organizational skills. You can assess the appropriate level of design and research necessary to achieve your goals, with a plan to reach final deliverables. \n\n* Technical proficiency. Youโ€™ve used modern component-based design software (e.g., Figma and Adobe Creative suite) and tools like Miro to workshop concepts and drive alignment with remote stakeholders.\n\n* A robust portfolio. Youโ€™re able to showcase a variety of projects that demonstrate your expertise in UX design, including examples of user flows, wireframes, prototypes and final design solutions.\n\n\n\nNice-to-Haves\n\n\n* Research and insights experience. Youโ€™ve planned and conducted qualitative and quantitative user research, and know how to translate insights into actionable product and design outcomes. Youโ€™re adept at using various research methodologies to optimize the end user experience.\n\n* A sports enthusiast. You understand the unique challenges and opportunities within the sports technology industry.\n\n* Growth mindset. Youโ€™re committed to staying up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies and design best practices, and have a strong desire to continuously learn and evolve.\n\n\n\nOur Role\n\n\nChampion work-life harmony. Weโ€™ll give you the flexibility you need in your work life (e.g., flexible vacation time, company-wide holidays and timeout (meeting-free) days, remote work options and more) so you can enjoy your personal life too.\n\nGuarantee autonomy. We have an open, honest culture and we trust our people from day one. Your team will support you, but youโ€™ll own your work and have the agency to try new ideas. \n\nEncourage career growth. Weโ€™re lifelong learners who encourage professional development. Weโ€™ll give you tons of resources and opportunities to keep growing.\n\nProvide an environment to help you succeed. We've invested in our offices, designing incredible spaces with our employees in mind. But whether youโ€™re at the office or working remotely, weโ€™ll provide you the tech stack and hardware to do your best work.\n\nSupport your mental and physical health. We care about our employeesโ€™ wellbeing. Our Employee Assistance Program, employee resource groups and fitness partner Peerfit have you covered.\n\nCover your medical insurance. We have multiple plans to pick from to ensure youโ€™ll have the coverage you (and your dependents) want, including vision, dental, fertility healthcare and family forming benefits.\n\nContribute to your 401(K). Yep, thatโ€™s free money. Weโ€™ll match up to 4% of your own contribution.\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n No salary data published by company so we estimated salary based on similar jobs related to Design and Design jobs that are similar:\n\n $95,000 — $125,000/year\n

Status SNT is hiring a
Remote Senior C++ Qt QML Developer

\nAbout Status\nStatus is building the tools and infrastructure for the advancement of a secure, private, and open web3. \nWith the high level goals of preserving the right to privacy, mitigating the risk of censorship, and promoting economic trade in a transparent, open manner, Status is building a community where anyone is welcome to join and contribute.\nAs an organization, Status seeks to push the web3 ecosystem forward through research, creation of developer tools, and support of the open source community. \nAs a product, Status is an open source, Ethereum-based app that gives users the power to chat, transact, and access a revolutionary world of DApps on the decentralized web. But Status is also building foundational infrastructure for the whole Ethereum ecosystem, including the Nimbus ETH 1.0 and 2.0 clients, the Keycard hardware wallet, and the Waku messaging protocol; the p2p communication layer for Web3.\nAs a team, Status has been completely distributed since inception. Our team is currently 200+ core contributors strong, and welcomes a growing number of community members from all walks of life, scattered all around the globe. \nWe care deeply about open source, and our organizational structure has minimal hierarchy and no fixed work hours. We believe in working with a high degree of autonomy while supporting the organization's priorities.\nThe role:\n\nStatus Desktop is currently in beta for Mac, Windows and Linux platforms. Current product focus is on the privacy-centric messenger and group chat functionality, and weโ€™ve just kicked off development of our new โ€˜multi-chain from the ground upโ€™ crypto Wallet. รApp browser and blockchain node functionality will follow next. Status desktop is currently built using Nim & QT for the frontend, and it shares a common backend with Status mobile that is written in Go. We are currently in the middle of a large refactor of our architecture. This refactor includes transitioning the QT front end from Nim to C++, moving all business logic to our status-go backend, and upgrading from QT5.14.2 to QT6.2. As we work in the open and are fully open source you can get a better idea of who we are and the work we are doing by browsing our team wiki here and taking a look at our Status Desktop, Status Desktop QML component library and Status Desktop and Mobile Go backend GitHub repos. You can find more information about our desktop effort in this blog post. \nStatus is looking for multiple senior experienced C++/QML UI devs to join our growing desktop dev team and to work with us to create a permissionless, decentralized, censorship proof group chat platform. Role responsibilities include developing new features, creating and enhancing components in our QML UI toolkit component library, advising and assisting other members of the desktop dev team with solving challenging QML UI development problems, and perhaps working on the Go backend if this is something you would enjoy. As a team we try to match task assignment with the individual interests and passions of our team members, so there is a high degree of flexibility with regards to what you would be working on. If you are a passionate C++/QML expert who knows all the ins and outs of C++ and QT/QML UI development this could be an ideal role for you.\nThe desktop team is spread between Europe and North America with crossover work hours being the European timezone afternoon on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Ideally you will be located in a timezone between UTC -8 and UTC +3 e.g. anywhere in-between Panama and Moscow. Work is async using Status, Google Meet and Github, typically in Scrum Sprints.\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nBuild new features, enhance existing functionality and fix issues in the Status Desktop application.\n\nHelp develop and maintain Statusโ€™s QML UI component library (primarily used by the Status Desktop product)\n\nAdvise and assist the other developers in the Desktop team as needed to help solve the hardest QML UI development challenges\n\nContribute to C++ and Go codebases (and help with transitioning the codebase from Nim to C++ if you join us prior to this transition being completed), but donโ€™t worry if you donโ€™t have any prior Go or Nim experience.\n\nBe one of our resident experts for everything related to C++ and Qt/QML UI development.\n\n\n\nYou ideally will have:\n\nDonโ€™t worry if you donโ€™t meet all of these criteria, weโ€™d still love to hear from you anyway if you think youโ€™d be a great fit for this role!\n\nExpert level experience implementing UIs using Qt/QML/C++\n\nA strong ability to think about components and modules as they relate to other components as part of a larger system\n\nA very strong attention to detail and the willingness to deliver pixel perfect UI according to the designs.\n\nProvide feedback and product ideas to the designers as needed\n\nExperience with multithreading / concurrency\n\nGood communication skills in English\n\nA strong alignment to our principles: https://status.im/about/#our-principles We are a passion driven project on a mission to build tools that protect and enable free speech.\n\n\n\nBonus points if you have:\n\nExperience working in an open source organization\n\nA strong interest in blockchain technology and have a good understanding of Ethereum.\n\nWorked in a remote distributed environment that values asynchronous communication\n\nKnowledge of Go and/or Nim and/or Solidity is a plus\n\nExperience with using QT/QML to develop cross platform (Windows, OSX, Linux) desktop applications and mobile applications (iOS, Android) is a plus\n\nPrior experience with using Squish for functional testing QT apps\n\nExperience implementing openGL rendering in a QML context\n\nAny background or experience with cryptography and/or security\n\n\n\nCompensation:\n\nWe are happy to pay in either 100% fiat or any mix of fiat and/or crypto. \n\n\n\nHiring process:\n\nThe hiring process for this role is usually as follows (sometimes adapted):\n\nIntroductory conversation - Talent team\n\n3 Technical Interviews with Desktop Qt/QML Developers\n\nTeam lead interview - Iuri, Desktop Team Lead\n\n'Meet the Desktop team' interviews with 3-4 Desktop Contributors (30-40m each)\n\n\n\nQuestions about this role?\nFeel free to get in touch, we are more than happy to discuss the role in more detail.\n \n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n No salary data published by company so we estimated salary based on similar jobs related to Web3, Solidity, Crypto, Ethereum, Testing, Node, Mobile, Senior, Linux and Backend jobs that are similar:\n\n $67,500 — $112,500/year\n
