We are expanding our team to take on this challenge!\n \nAbout the Role\nRocket Lawyer is seeking an experienced, passionate and hands-on Engineering Manager who wants to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a talented agile team. As part of a cross-functional team consisting of a product manager, designer, 4-6 software engineers and QA engineers, you will be actively managing one or more engineering teams to fulfill business needs.\n\n\n We value a fun, collaborative, team-oriented work environment, where we celebrate our accomplishments.\n\n\n\nA Day in the Life\n* Be responsible for the work output of one or more engineering teams\n* Work closely with your team and cross-functional partners to prioritize work for your team\n* Participate in sprint planning, scrum meetings, and sprint retrospectives\n* Assign work to engineers on your team based on capabilities and business priorities\n* Make direct technical contributions via writing code, creating technical documents, and performing code reviews\n* Resolve blockers to keep your team moving forward\n* Maintain a high standard of technical quality on your team\n* Coach and mentor your team to perform at the highest level\n* Participate in hiring and performance management decisions for your team and other teams\n* Clearly communicate your team’s goals, priorities and accomplishments to peers and leadership\n\n\n\nExperience\n* Experience managing teams of 4+ engineers\n* Experience building and maintaining SaaS products\n* 6+ years experience in high-growth technology environments\n* Experience with some of the following technologies: Java, Spring, Node, React, Typescript\n* Experience with distributed systems\n* Strong coding skills\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications \n* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field\n* Experience developing internationalized software\n\n\n\nBenefits & Perks\n* Benefits & Perks\n* Private health insurance \n* Life insurance\n* Meal/Food voucher\n* Gympass discount\n* Daycare assistance\n* Financial support with those who have children with special needs and disabilities\n* Free Rocket Lawyer account with online access to an extensive legal documents library and brilliant licensed attorneys at discounted rates\n\n\n\n\nR$33.000 - R$33.000 a month\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
