Remote Producer
\n \nJoin the award-winning team that created God of War\n\nSanta Monica Studio is seeking an experienced producer for the development of a new unannounced title!\n\nThe Production Team at SMS excels at creative problem solving and communication. Whether by being leaders of the craft of project management or partners who will clear the path ahead, the production team is here in service to the studio, to move development forward and achieve quality.\n\nWe are looking for a Producer to join us on the Audio team. In this role, you will partner with producers, creative leads, and directors to support the production pipeline throughout all phases of product development cycle from design through final approval. You’ll own the creation, maintenance, and execution of a project plan to determine resource, budget and schedule needs.\n\nThe ideal candidate will have a solid and wide understanding of the influence and role of upstream teams (design, level design, level art, combat, animation, etc.) as well as an understanding of lateral groups (VFX, localization, tools, etc.) which impact Audio throughout the production process. \n\nThis role is solely focused in-game development; any experience in the music industry as an audio producer is not relevant to the position.\nResponsibilities\n\nManage Production Areas\n\n\n* Facilitate development efforts to keep product development on schedule and within budget\n\n* Develop and maintain project schedules, triage day-to-day production issues\n\n* Ensure regular and effective communication between internal and external team members to share project status and problem solve\n\n\n\n\nProactively Seek Resolution\n\n\n* Breakdown and prioritize work for teams, identify problems and propose solutions, provide data-drive impact analysis\n\n* Ensure stakeholders have proper visibility into development and are informed of any changes that may impact their teams\n\n\n\n\nSupport Product Development Needs\n\n\n* Maintain and improve relationships amongst development team\n\n* Partner with team managers to help provide team assignments which support career growth\n\n* Participate in yearly performance review process by capturing feedback\n\n\n\nSkills\n\nProject Management / Production\n\n\n* Proven experience producing high-performing cross-functional teams\n\n* Excellent organizational & prioritization skills, attention to detail\n\n* Self-starter, you approach challenges creatively and methodically, seeing them through to final resolution\n\n\n\n\nCommunication & Collaboration\n\n\n* Excellent verbal and written communication skills\n\n* Strong interpersonal skills – able to communicate effectively across product development and management teams\n\n* Adapts quickly to changing project priorities and emergent needs\n\n\n\n\nIndustry\n\n\n* Knowledgeable of current industry trends: stays up-to-date on competitive products and new production methodologies\n\n* Must love games and have a passion for crafting them!\n\n\n\nEducation & Experience\n\n\n* At least 5-7 years of production experience in a AAA game development environment\n\n* Familiarity with traditional waterfall production management techniques and Agile techniques, including SCRUM and Kanban\n\n* Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Hansoft, Microsoft Office (Project and Excel)\n\n\n\nPreferred Experience\n\n\n* Experienced with two or more published titles\n\n* PMP or equivalent certification\n\n\n\n\n#LI-SMS\n#LI-AM1\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
