Remote Senior District Sales Manager South Central
\nAbout the Role:\n\nWe are seeking a Senior District Sales Manager, South Central, who will be responsible for managing Sales Executives in KS, MO, OK, AR, MS, LA, and TX The Sr. District Sales Manager will have strong technical knowledge and a strong history of managing sales executives who have account relationships with key thought leaders in the Next Gen Sequencing space.\n\nWhat you will be doing:\n\n\n* Develop, execute and monitor the district business plan to meet assigned revenue and strategic objectives.\n\n* Responsible for the direction, support and motivation of the district sales team to meet agreed targets and objectives.\n\n* Routinely forecast, monitor, and control selling and other expenses for the district within assigned expense budgets\n\n* Routinely and accurately forecast customer demand (i.e., product quantities and dollars, orders, shipments)\n\n* To drive a high level of interaction and engagement between other departments (e.g., Marketing, Technical Support) and local sales team & staff to ensure coordination of activities and alignment on common goals\n\n* Talent Acquisition - Responsible for resource planning, recruitment, and hire of resource to support forecasted sales targets\n\n* Talent Development activities to ensure that the sales team has the necessary expertise to successfully perform their jobs, provide ongoing guidance to employees, and career counseling to help employees develop and advance in their careers\n\n* Performance Management - setting performance standards, setting realistic job goals, conducting performance appraisals, and disciplinary action\n\n* Create a sense of urgency and drive accountability within the regional team to meet both financial and strategic goals.\n\n* Responsible for ensuring utilization and compliance in accordance with departmental policies and practices for Salesforce.com (SFDC)\n\n* Works collaboratively across AMR to drive coordination and alignment in service to corporate goals at large. This would include taking the lead on cross-district initiatives in partnership with marketing, sales, and sr. leadership.\n\n* Takes on the role of peer leader and mentor across the District Sales Manager team.\n\n\n\n\n \n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\n\n* BA/BS in Life Sciences\n\n* A minimum of 7 years of sales, marketing or equivalent experience in the Life Science industry, including capital equipment sales\n\n* A minimum of 5 years of sales management experience in the Life Science industry\n\n* Experience in hiring the best talent, building teams, managing and motivating sales professionals, setting and managing sales targets\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Skills: \n\n\n* Must be able to build relationships at a very high level\n\n* MS or equivalent degree in Life Sciences. PhD is a plus.\n\n* Ability to effectively communicate and influence internal and external audiences, using both oral and written communication skills\n\n* Excellent written and oral English skills required\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
