\nYOUR ROLE:\n\nWe're looking for a product designer to support our innovative, multi-cloud governance solution. As a product designer, you'll be involved in every step of the product design process, from ideation to implementation.\n\nYOUR DAY-TO-DAY:\n\n\n* Define and refine the user experience of the Kion application\n\n* Take projects through the entire design process from concept to high fidelity.\n\n* Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to understand a project's requirements and technical constraints.\n\n* Research and advocate for product design best practices.\n\n* Develop a firm grasp on Kion product areas and regularly spend time learning about the cloud management space.\n\n* Work alongside product managers, developers, designers, and writers to understand user needs and help solve complex problems.\n\n* Working across departments to coordinate user research initiatives.\n\n* Use Pendo to gain quantitative insights about user behavior.\n\n* Design surveys, customer feedback sessions, and customer interviews.\n\n* Meet with customers to do discovery, understand their use cases, and get feedback on designs.\n\n* Rapidly ideate and produce multiple UX/UI concepts.\n\n* Work within our existing design system and help to evolve it when necessary.\n\n* Do design crits with the product design team\n\n\n\n\nWHAT WE ARE EXPECTING FROM YOU (I.E., THE QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE):\n\n\n* 4+ years of relevant experience designing and shipping digital products. Outstanding candidates will have experience working on enterprise software.\n\n* A diverse portfolio that showcases:\n\n\n* Demonstrated understanding of usability principles.\n\n* Strong visual design skills (layout, visual hierarchy, color, type).\n\n* Understanding of information architecture best practices.\n\n* Interaction design examples.\n\n* Clean and balanced aesthetic.\n\n\n\n\n\n* Experience taking projects through the entire design process, from the discovery phase to low-fidelity, and wireframes to high-fidelity mockups and working prototypes.\n\n* Skilled in design tools such as Figma (preferred), Sketch, Axure, etc.\n\n* Understanding of design system best practices.\n\n* Understanding basic HTML and CSS principles (so you can effectively communicate design specifications and collaborate with developers to implement designs).\n\n* Experience with developer handoff and post-implementation design validation.\n\n\n\n\nPlease include a link to your portfolio showcasing relevant work samples. A portfolio submission is mandatory for consideration of your candidacy.\n\nKEY SKILLS:\n\n\n* A problem solver who can be effective in situations with limited information.\n\n* A self-starter who can proactively identify opportunities for impact even when not assigned to you.\n\n* Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.\n\n* The ability to articulate and defend design concepts and decisions.\n\n* Willingness to take feedback, learn, and grow.\n\n\n\n\nOUR WISH LIST (I.E., THE QUALIFICATIONS WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO HAVE):\n\n\n* Experience in the financial, security, and/or compliance space.\n\n* Experience with user research and testing methodologies/best practices.\n\n* Experience with UX writing.\n\n* Bachelor's degree in design, HCI, or a related discipline.\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
