Cruise Critic was the first consumer cruise site on the Internet, launched in October 1995 by The Independent Traveler, Inc., now a subsidiary of TripAdvisor, Inc.\n\n \n\nWhat You’ll Do\n\n\n* Perform exploratory data analysis to identify areas of opportunity to make improvements to our overall user experience. \n\n* Work closely with a product team to lead quantitative analysis, hypothesis testing, and experimentation efforts.\n\n* Build automated dashboards to help stakeholders monitor the health of their product. \n\n* Comfortable with predictive modelling techniques such as linear/logistic regressions, random forest/k-means clustering, decision trees, etc.\n\n* Present your findings to both technical and non-technical audiences to help drive key business decisions. \n\n* Work closely with several cross-functional teams to help lead company initiatives to help grow different parts of the business. \n\n* Take a question or issue, use data to identify the root cause, and offer recommendations on proposed solutions. \n\n\n\n\n \n\nSkills & Experience\n\n\n* Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a similar field. Master’s Degree a plus but not required\n\n* 3+ years working as a Data Scientist, Data Analyst, or Product Data Analyst. \n\n* 3+ years working with SQL (experience with Azure Cloud Services is a plus)\n\n* 3+ years working with Python or R is preferred but not required. \n\n* 3+ years working with a product/web analytics tools (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, MixPanel, Heap, etc.)\n\n* 3+ years working with interactive visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, PowerBI, etc.)\n\n* Strong expertise in taking a question from a stakeholder, then using various data points to unravel complex patterns and derive meaningful insights from data.\n\n* A willingness to work closely with a team of analysts and several other team members and stakeholders to find key insights to help grow the business.\n\n* Comfortable working with large datasets with a keen eye for accuracy in reporting.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n \n\nWe strive to create an accessible and inclusive experience for all candidates.
