\nAs a Product Quality Engineer, you will work inside & outside the organization to define, develop, and execute processes that deliver high quality & reliable products. This role focuses on our Tower/Sentry products with career growth to any of our products in the development stages. The right person for this role has knowledge of manufacturing, product development, sub-system performance criteria and metrology, and continuous improvement. If you are someone who loves to build world-class quality processes, work hands-on, and be accountable for results, then this role is for you.\n\nWHAT YOU’LL DO\n\n\n* Drive product development to achieve quality experience for Sentry products and variants by implementing product making engineering activities like detailed design reviews, process development, verification, validation, and qualification of processes and parts, sub-assy, and system deployments\n\n* Drive clarity & resolution for development ambiguities associated with product maturity, process stability, and field performance that impact the product meeting it’s quality & reliability goals for volume production.\n\n* Drive ongoing quality performance in a sustainable & predictable manner for a low rate, high complexity manufacturing process and supply chains.\n\n* Own the elimination of product risk to improve reliability across the product lifecycle. Engage in quality activities from concept through development and manufacturing to field use.\n\n* Ensure the execution of product and process requirements. Define and improve such requirements.\n\n* Lead Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) and Material Review Board (MRB) activities. Review the effectiveness of actions and share lessons learned across the product team.\n\n* Lead product health data analysis and improvement activities. Establish metrics for measuring quality and the factors that predict quality performance. Drive performance when out of goal/out of specification conditions occur.\n\n* Support the continuous improvement of the Quality Management System. Define and improve required documentation and activities.\n\n* Support investigations, initiatives, and projects as needed, at the team or organization level.\n\n\n\n\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS\n\n\n* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or similar technical field\n\n* Experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality in surveillance/defense or similar hardware.\n\n* Working knowledge of design review and quality management of PCBA, harnessing, mechanical structures, systems integration, power systems, radar, vision system/optical image capture, networking/communication protocol, and remote management systems.\n\n* Experience driving product quality and performance requirements to test and measurement system development and optimization. Leading the transition from engineering qualification to manufacturing variance testing for product quality coverage.\n\n* Working knowledge of product development methodologies such as Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) elements such as Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA), and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).\n\n* Working knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical manufacturing processes.\n\n* Ability to read technical drawings, requirements, Quality Clauses, and SOWs\n\n* Working knowledge of Configuration Management and Document Control\n\n* A strong ownership mindset with demonstrated capability to drive projects from start to completion.\n\n* Analytical skills and experiences for data mining, data quality, metrics generation, issue management systems, and statistical analysis tools (MatLab, JMP, MiniTab, etc)\n\n* Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. TS/SCI security clearance\n\n\n\n\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\n\n\n* Master’s degree in a technical field\n\n* 5-7 years of experience with developing quality systems for low volume, high complex manufacturing environments and suppliers.\n\n* Working knowledge of AS9100/ ISO 9001-based Quality Management System requirements.\n\n* Experience with IPC standards, mastery of ESD and FOD prevention and mitigation,\n\n* Experience with government contracts and mil standard requirements\n\n* Experience with Teamcenter, SolidWorks, Jira, and Tableau\n\n\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n No salary data published by company so we estimated salary based on similar jobs related to Design and Engineer jobs that are similar:\n\n $77,500 — $117,500/year\n
