Capital Markets Gateway is hiring a

Remote Staff Frontend Engineer

\nAbout us:\nโ€œCompanies access the capital markets to raise money that will ultimately drive expansion, innovation, and employment growth, which is why we have built an integrated capital markets platform that will optimize the deal flow process for all market participants.โ€ Greg Ingram, CMG CEO and Co-Founder. \n\n\nCapital Markets Gateway (CMG) is a financial technology firm that is modernizing the equity capital markets (ECM). CMG connects investors and underwriters via a neutral platform that delivers integrated ECM data and analytics, transparency, and workflow efficiencies. Providing a digital system of record for firm-wide deal activity, CMG helps clients make more timely, better-informed decisions. Launched in 2017 by a team of ECM practitioners, the CMG platform is currently relied upon by nearly 100 buy side firms representing $20 trillion in AUM and 15 investment banks. \n\n\nCMGโ€™s goal is to alleviate pain points resulting from disparate solutions, fragmented data, and frenzied communication. CMGโ€™s DataLab product solves for data analytics, while CMGโ€™s XC platform establishes connectivity between buy- and sell-side firms. \n \nAbout the team:\nThe CMG engineering team consists of domain experts who work collaboratively within a culture of cross-domain knowledge sharing. We value engineers who are passionate about modern technologies and best practices. \n\n\nOur engineers are willing to challenge the status quo and are constantly seeking improvement and efficiency in our code base and platform. CMG engineers are empowered to explore solutions and bring recommendations to the table. Weโ€™re in a period of making impactful engineering decisions. As part of our process, we believe in taking the time for research and prototyping - this is critical in making the right decisions. \n\n\nGiven the experience of our team, we have naturally adopted best practices from local development, through code review and into production rollouts. Besides the standard pull requests, test automation, code coverage tracking, containerization, and one-click deployments we are constantly reviewing these foundational components to develop new best practices. \n \nThe role:\nCMG is searching for a highly skilled and experienced front-end engineer. You will work alongside other talented engineers in defining and executing a short-term and long-term vision for front-end development. Your output will have a significant impact on both CMGโ€™s core product and the day-to-day of CMGโ€™s frontend development team. Weโ€™re proud of what weโ€™ve built -- weโ€™re looking for a passionate individual who can help us take it to the next level. \n\n\n\nWhat you will be responsible for:\n* Ownership over core front-end architecture (shared with other front-end leads)  \n* Delivering high-value, high-complexity product features \n* Training engineers, driving consistency, and creating re-usable patterns \n* Enhancing the developer experience \n* Proactively identifying areas of improvement and acting on them \n\n\n\nAreas you may contribute to in your first six months:\n* Feature delivery on one of CMGโ€™s SaaS web apps \n* Monorepo tooling \n* Module federation \n* DataGrid architecture \n* GraphQL strategy \n* Component testing architecture \n* Visual regression testing \n* AI incubation \n\n\n\nYour experience:\n* 10+ years in software engineering  \n* 5+ years building UIs (with advanced React experience) \n* 5+ years building backend services (day-to-day at CMG will not entail backend development, but this role requires a deep understanding of full stack architecture)\n\n\nModern JavaScript \n* TypeScript \n* Build tooling (i.e. Nx, Webpack, Turbo, Create React App, Module Federation) \n* State management (i.e. Redux, XState, Jotai, MobX, Apollo Reactive) \n* Node.js \n\n\nModern Testing \n* Unit (i.e. jest) \n* Component (i.e. React Testing Library, Storybook, Playwright) \n* End to end (i.e. Playwright, TestCafe, Cypress) \n\n\nModern DevOps \n* Containerized development and deployment \n* Configuration of and use of CI \n* Adhering to and advocating for CD principles \n\n\nModern CSS (i.e. css-in-js, styled-components)  \nModern API (i.e. GraphQL, React Query, Apollo, OpenAPI) \n\nNice to have:\n* Mobile app development (i.e., React Native, iOS, Android)  \n* Data visualizations (i.e., d3, Highcharts, Chart.js)\n* C# .NET (our microservice stack) \n* CI, CD, Docker, and modern DevOps \n* Feature flagging strategy/tooling \n* Prior experience working in FinTech \n\n\n\nOur values:\n* We innovate with purpose\n* We focus on outcomes vs. output\n* We believe diverse and inclusive teams fuel innovation\n* We are humble yet candid\n* We do right by the customer\n\n\n\nWhat we offer\n* Equity: Own a part of what you create and feel invested in what you're building\n* Healthcare: Medical, Dental & Vision \n* 401K Company Match \n* Life Insurance \n* Flexible Spending & Health Savings Account \n* Unlimited PTO \n* Remote Working Environment \n* Interactive Training Programs \n* STD & LTD \n* Education Reimbursement Program \n* Employee Referral Bonus \n* Paid time off for volunteering in our communities \n* Charitable giving programs chosen by our customers \n* Health and Wellness Programs \n\n\n\n\n$175,000 - $200,000 a year\n\n\nCompensation Information:\nThe estimated salary range for this role is $175,000 - $200,000. The successful candidateโ€™s salary will be determined by non-discriminatory factors such as skills and experience. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in our benefits program including health, dental, vision, 401K, paid time off, and our equity plan.  \n  \nThis employer participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with your Form 1-9 information to confirm you are authorized to work in the US. \n  \nCMG embraces our ongoing commitment to building a culture reflecting the people, perspectives, and passions it represents. We will accept nothing less than equity, inclusion, and belonging for all. Whitespectre is hiring a

Remote Senior Ruby on Rails Developer

[Whitespectre](https://www.whitespectre.com) is a product-centric,Rails-led technology consultancy for both vc funded start-ups and large, established companies across the US and Europe. Weโ€™re also a product incubator with our own applications and b2b SaaS platform. As long-term partners to our clients, weโ€™ve played a critical role in their growth- both through the products we co-create and the expertise and processes we bring. Proudly remote first since 2013, weโ€™re a close-knit team of 75, working in fast-moving, cross-functional agile pods to solve interesting technical challenges and drive real business impact.\n\n**What's it like to be a Senior Rails engineer at Whitespectre?**\n\nOur senior rails developers are sharp technical experts with the ability to think like product owners- being able to advocate for code quality as a long term strategic investment while knowing when to adapt a more start-up mentality to deliver rapid business value. They drive architecture and implementation decisions, mentor other engineers, and stay up to date with the latest rails techniques and trends as part of the collective Whitespectre rails brain trust.\n\nWhitespectre operates on a fully-modern tech stack- toolset includes Rails6/7, Postgres, Elastic, REST/GraphQL, ReactJS, Typescript, Webpack, CI/CD with Docker, Heroku/AWS, etc. Working smartly is important to us; automation, dynamic environments spin up with new feature branches and slack bot integrations control our production releases.\n\nThe majority of our projects involve building greenfield applications and our delivery teams typically own products end to end - your thinking and contribution make a big impact!\n\n**What else is great about working at Whitespectre?**\n\n* Interesting challenges: Weโ€™ve done everything from scaling high-performance, high concurrency backends, building beautiful (but complex) user interfaces to handling real-time event streams from hardware devices..\n* Grow everyday: Be in an environment that embraces constant learning and exploring - whether itโ€™s a new skill, a new way of thinking, or a new product experiment, we know itโ€™s the key to staying motivated.\n* Career progression: Get the opportunities, knowledge sharing, and mentorship to grow- whether you want to move into management or Principle Engineer. We proudly promote from within.\n* Work-life balance: Thrive at work, but know that it doesnโ€™t take over your life. Clear processes and realistic planning avoids fires!\n* Paid Meetups: We love remote, but face to face is pretty great too. Come meet with your colleagues in Barcelona or at a local meetup.\n* Competitive rates, long-term outlook: We offer competitive rates and a long-term, full-time contract position. Many of our team members have been with us for 5+ years.\n* Want to know more? Check out [Glassdoor](https://www.glassdoor.com.ar/Reviews/Whitespectre-Reviews-E1575846.htm?countryRedirect=true)\n\n**This is the right position for you if want-**\n\n* The challenge of collaborating with business stakeholders and Product Managers to advocate for technology solutions while bearing in mind the tradeoffs for business results\n* The responsibility of designing new architectures and being confident to justify your technology decisions. (Plus debating and recognizing when a colleague has an even better idea!)\n* To solve problems that canโ€™t be addressed by just searching Stack Overflow\n* The opportunity to go outside your core Rails expertise and strengthen skills with other technologies (e.g. Elixr, React.js or Node.js)\n* An environment where excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) are valued and honed\n* A culture where people from different backgrounds interact, collaborate and reach a shared goal\n\n**The โ€œcheck the boxโ€ Requirements**\n\n* 5+ years of experience in software development, 3+ years of Rails\n* Experience contributing to technical decision making within a team\n* Can work full-time with significant crossover with the core hours: 11am - 6pm Central European Time\n* Live outside of the US. Please, no recruitment agencies.\n \n\nPlease mention the words **CHEESE STADIUM GADGET** when applying to show you read the job post completely (#RMjE2LjczLjIxNi4xMjU=). Space 48 is hiring a

Remote Senior React Engineer

You'll form a key part of a team of developers building React-based components and applications to support our SaaS eCommerce and headless platforms.\n\nAs an example of what you'll be working on: we're building **headless eCommerce sites with Gatsby** and rich **interactive product customisers with Next.js on Vercel**.\n\nYou start your day in a team Stand Up discussing progress you made yesterday, listening to your team members describe their current issues and dropping some knowledge bombs on how you โ€œsolved this last timeโ€. Youโ€™re working from home today, so you pay the pet tax and encourage your four-legged-friend wave to the camera before logging off.\n\nFirst up youโ€™ve got a pair-programming session with a Junior Developer in your team to help them through a tough search component that theyโ€™ve been working on. Theyโ€™ve been steadily improving under your experienced wing and are turning into a really productive team member.\n\nAfter lunch youโ€™ll set your Slack status and turn on Do Not Disturb for a couple of hours while you debug a weird issue with a customerโ€™s site. Thereโ€™s been a change to the out of stock logic recently to support multiple warehouses. You update your unit test suite to cover this unexpected scenario and tell the Project Manager the good news! You push your feature branch to Bitbucket and watch Bitbucket Pipelines build your artifact and prove that your tests pass.\n\nYour JIRA issue has automatically transitioned to โ€œIn Code Reviewโ€ and you open your pull request, studying your diff carefully before assigning it to your team mate for a sanity check.\n\nTomorrow (assuming all is well!) youโ€™ll merge your pull request into a release branch and let Pipelines deploy it to Staging where it will be regression tested by the QA Team and their bank of automated tests. It should be out to Production by the end of the week, providing we can get through the testing and get client sign off by 2pm on Thursday.\n\n**If you read this and it sounds like your ideal job โ€” we want you on the team!**\n\n### What you'll be doing\n\nThe following should give you an idea of how youโ€™ll be expected to typically be spending your time. Itโ€™s not set in stone and it may change from week-to-week, but it gives an idea of what is expected from the role.\n\n#### Software Development (80%)\n\nThe majority of your time will be spent working with your team to deliver software that meets the needs of our customers. This isnโ€™t time that youโ€™ll spend entirely in your editor, thereโ€™s stand up, sprint planning, scoping, architecting and designing that youโ€™ll take part in to make sure weโ€™re building exactly what we need in the right way.\n\nGiven your experience, a portion of this time is expected to be spent assisting other team members in delivering their work effectively.\n\n#### Process and Tooling Improvements (10%)\n\nMaking sure that we donโ€™t sit still and keep evolving the way we build and deliver software is a critical investment of time, particularly from a team member with your experience. Use this time to try that tool you read about and see if itโ€™s worthy of being a part of our toolchain.\n\n#### Personal Development (10%)\n\nKeeping up with new software releases, development practices, horror stories and post mortems are an essential part of any Software Developerโ€™s time! Use this time to push forward your objectives and research tools and techniques you need to stay productive.\n \n\nPlease mention the words **PELICAN ABILITY HAMSTER** when applying to show you read the job post completely (#RMjE2LjczLjIxNi4xMjU=). This is a feature to avoid spam applicants.
