Quorum is hiring a Remote Manager of Technical Professional Services

The company recently acquired Capitol Canary, a market leader in grassroots advocacy software.\n\nAs the Manager of Technical Professional Services, youโll be responsible for implementing the paid technical services to Quorumโs customers and will be directly responsible for the day-to-day operations of our 5-person Professional Services programmers and a 3-person Tier 2 technical support team . As a member of the leadership team for our customer service organization, youโll report directly to our VP of Professional Services and work closely with customers, customer service managers, and engineers to implement your teamโs technical solutions strategy. This role is a player-coach role where youโll both manage and coach individual contributors and directly participate in the process of improving the architecture of Quorumโs integrations with other systems. You will deliver high-quality results and work through risks, challenges, and obstacles, all while setting and managing expectations with various stakeholders. \n\nAbout You\n\n\n* You have at least six (6) years of full-time professional experience working in software development at a software company using must-have Python and React (or similar Javascript framework), PostgreSQL, AWS, and Linux. Nice to have: Django.\n\n* You have at least three (3) years of experience managing or directing teams of product developers.\n\n* Strong coaching and management skills as indicated by a strong track record of supporting the growth and development of other engineers, proactively assessing talent, development and goal setting to ensure the team is effective in driving results of established goals and metrics.\n\n* You have excellent communication skills including good English.\n\n* You have strong interpersonal skills โ with the ability to manage customer expectations and strategically lead and influence multiple projects.\n\n* Strong, agile project management skills as demonstrated by a strong track record of completing complex technical projects that this individual directly owned\n\n* Strong understanding of establishing costs for custom development projects and calculating return on investment and utilization of staff. You understand how projects impact business and company objectives using sound business acumen\n\n\n\n\n \nAbout the Professional Services Team.\n\n\n* Weโre a fast-growing team that is ultimately responsible for delivering custom solutions to customers that are outside of the core software offerings. \n\n* We partner closely with the Product Management team and work with them to understand customer and market needs and to design and deliver world-class solutions that meet those needs.\n\n* Weโre very close as a team and invest not only in each othersโ skills and careers but also in building real relationships with one another: development is a team sport and we believe that itโs better (and more fun) to work on a team of people that you know well and care about.\n\n\n\nWhat Youโll Do \n\n\n* First Week: Youโll learn about Quorumโs many products, users, and the public affairs world. Youโll start learning about the products and solutions the professional services team offers and implements.\n\n* First Month: Youโll take over the day-to-day management of the Technical Professional Services team and invest in improving the people and processes that make the team work.\n\n* First Six Months: Youโll lead the finalization of the internal and external professional service projects across all of Quorumโs platforms and also produce new service offerings that can be sold to Quorumโs customers.
