This role will ensure compliance with accounting standards, provide technical accounting guidance, and support the companyโ€™s financial reporting process, technical accounting, and reporting function. \n\nKey responsibilities:\n\n\n* Provide technical accounting guidance and support for complex transactions and new business initiatives, such as debt/equity financing, customer contracts, business combinations, and investment accounting, including embedded derivatives analysis. \n\n* Write technical accounting memos for complex transactions, including but not limited to ASC 842, ASC360, ASC 606, ASC 805, ASC 470, ASC 718, ASC815, and ASC323.\n\n* Research, interpret, and implement accounting standards and regulations (GAAP, IFRS)\n\n* Develop, write, and maintain accounting policies and procedures \n\n* Work closely with other departments (e.g., Revenue, FP&A, Tax, Legal) to provide accounting expertise and support\n\n* Serve as a liaison and work with external auditors on technical accounting matters.\n\n* Work with external valuation specialists to ensure complex transaction valuations are completed on a timely basis, including managing all inputs used in those valuations: derivatives valuation, 409A, special transaction valuations, etc.  \n\n* Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the accounting and finance team.\n\n* Lead, mentor, and develop team members, providing training and development opportunities.\n\n* Monitor the issuance of new FASB pronouncements, advise management of trends and changes in reporting requirements, and recommend and implement the best approach for any changes in reporting. \n\n* Manage and perform ad hoc accounting research that supports accounting consultations for business transactions.\n\n* Lead M&A due diligence and prepare work papers and memos according to ASC805.\n\n* Work with the internal team to implement accounting policies and ensure compliance with internal control and SOX.  \n\n* Assist other teams with ad hoc accounting and reporting needs.\n\n\n\n\nRequirements:\n\n\n* A master's or bachelorโ€™s degree in accounting or finance, CPA is required.\n\n* 8+ years of experience in leading technical accounting, including public accounting (Big Four experience preferred) \n\n* Strong knowledge of GAAP, SEC regulations, and financial reporting requirements.\n\n* Proven ability to research and interpret complex accounting issues.\n\n* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly and concisely.\n\n* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.\n\n* Experience with ERP systems such as Netsuite and financial reporting tools.\n\n* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\n\n* Experience with IFRS and international accounting standards.\n\n* Prior experience in a technology or software company.\n\n* Strong project management skills and the ability to drive initiatives to completion.\n\n\n\n\nOur compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. Identify the need for and provide recommendations for upgrades, configurations, or new systems to maintain the highest standard of computers and software for high tech industry business needs.\n\n* Monitor the organization's operational requirements, research strategies and technology solutions, and build the most cost-effective and efficient system to achieve those goals.\n\n* Develops and implements business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss. Collaborate with People Operations, Legal, and external police and emergency services ad needed for investigations. Thoroughly document all security and loss abuse.\n\n* Lead the development of IT policies, procedures, and systems for computer systems operations and development and support the implementation and maintenance of strategies set by senior leadership team.\n\n* Assist in building relationships with vendors and creating cost-efficient contracts.\n\n* Develop, implement, and maintain cost efficient and secure systems for new and enhance sites for national and global locations. Collaborate with local officials, utilities, and vendors to establish and maintain the highest level of IT services and cost efficiency for Torc locations.\n\n\n\n\n\n* Financial Management \n\n\n* Control and maintain the IT budget and expenditures ensuring the technology needs of business and employees are met. Create proposals and maintain a budget with facility and utility needs, equipment costs, labor requirements, storage capacity, etc., and collaborate with Finance on financial requests and ongoing budget preservation.\n\n* Organize and maintain all financial documents according to policies and procedures.\n\n* Purchase efficient and cost-effective technological equipment and software.\n\n\n\n\n\n* People Management \n\n\n* Guide the team to set, track, and achieve goals aligned with companywide vision, goals, and initiatives.\n\n* Provide up-to-date guidance and direction to employees to ensure compliance with federal, state, company policies, procedures, guidelines, and management principles.\n\n* Accomplishes department objectives by supervising employees and organizing and monitoring work processes with the highest degree of quality and safety.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat Youโ€™ll Need to Succeed: \n\n\n* Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering OR relevant experience. Masterโ€™s Degree preferred.\n\n* 10+ years of experience in managing an IT department with security and multiple sites within the United States. IT experience with operating a global site preferred.\n\n* Experience with analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications.\n\n* Experience in controlling information technology budget and equipment purchasing.\n\n* Experience with computer systems (hardware/software), networks etc.\n\n* Experience with information security program development and oversight including cyber-security standards and audit processes and procedures. \n\nMeet The Team:\n\nSupport the definition creation of a product that meets customer needs as effectively and efficiently as possible. Collaborate with a wide range of people to identify and define customer needs, understand expectations and business value, and support development of the Product Roadmap and Features required to meet these needs.
