We have established the necessary groundwork to expand our presence in the US, and your expertise will play a crucial role in strengthening our direct-to-consumer efforts while solidifying our position in the grocery sector. Reporting to the Senior Director of Brand for Who Gives A Crap, your thoughtful portfolio management and effective commercial strategies will be instrumental in maximising our impact on donations.\n\nWhile the US will be your focus, the role doesnโ€™t stop there. As part of a global brand team, you will also jump into initiatives that span the US and our other markets, making sure to strike the right balance between opportunity and effort and creating portfolio efficiencies where possible. \n\nOur Brand Team is mainly based in Australia, and we are looking for amazing candidates within Australia for this role. However, as a global team we commit to 4 hours per day of collaboration time which sees our US team aligning to PST afternoons and our Australian team diving into earlier mornings. \n\nIf you worked here this past month here are some things you might have been involved in\n\n\n* Led the execution of a new pack test on our DTC channel, delivering a fantastic performance review and set of recommendations for where to go next.\n\n* Supported the US retail team on the latest Whole Foods range review!\n\n* Contributed to the development of the US price pack architecture, providing US omnichannel expertise.\n\n* Dived into a big piece of global consumer research, pulling out US-specific insights to share back with the brand team.\n\n* Finalised a creative brief for a new product launch.\n\n* Hung out with our supply chain team to review some product updates.\n\n* Cried with laughter from a creative ideation shareback!\n\n\n\nLetโ€™s talk about you\n\nYouโ€™re a seasoned brand builder\n\nYou can apply brand strategy and market insights to craft a compelling recommendation that will have a big impact on our growth. Youโ€™re able to identify portfolio optimisation opportunities and risks, and work collaboratively to ideate, problem-solve and build associated business cases. You know how to provide comprehensive performance reviews for products and projects. Youโ€™re proficient in conducting market research, analysing consumer behaviour, and translating insights into actionable strategies.\n\nYou have strong commercial acumen \n\nYou have US market expertise that you can bring to the table. Youโ€™re great with numbers, but more importantly, you know what to do with them. You take a holistic approach to evaluate the market - staying ahead of and applying upcoming relevant cultural, category and consumer trends to deliver a hard working portfolio of products and communications to match. \n\nYouโ€™re a thinkerโ€ฆ\n\nYou are deeply analytical and strategic - youโ€™re able to assess data and provide recommendations to develop commercial propositions - and are not afraid to do things differently with a clear rationale on why. You are a first-class communicator with the ability to translate often complex ideas into understandable information.  \n\nโ€ฆand a doer\n\nYou know how to nurture curiosity but you also know how to get things done. You enable a culture of speed-to-market with bold, passionate ideas that marry cultural-relevance with our brand and deliver on our overarching brand strategy. Youโ€™re constantly looking to learn and iterate, with a results-driven purpose. \n\nYouโ€™re a creative problem solver\n\nYou love to bring your experiences and your critical thinking mindset to enable and inspire your team to win with creativity. You are excited by the opportunity to shape an approach, and can demonstrate how you have led with ownership to solve tricky problems with innovative solutions. \n\nYou give a crap\n\nDo you want your work to make the world a better place? Do you want to work with other people who feel the same way? What a coincidence โ€” us too!\nWhy should you work with us?\n\nFirst off, as a certified B Corpโ„ข, we work to make a difference every day while maintaining the highest standards of social and environmental impact. With our most recent score of 125.5 weโ€™re in very good company with other exceptional B Corps around the world.\n\nWe also believe that helping to make the world a better place should be rewarded accordingly โ€“ thatโ€™s why we offer competitive, market informed salaries, meaningful support towards healthcare for our team around the world, generous paid leave, tailored learning and development opportunities, and free toilet paper (yes, you read that right).\n\nOur engagement surveys (thanks Culture Amp!) tell us that our team is really proud (98%) to work for Who Gives A Crap and, well, we couldnโ€™t be more proud of that.\nHave you made it this far?\n\nIf youโ€™re still reading, we think thereโ€™s a strong chance you might be our kind of person. Hereโ€™s the thing, though โ€” research suggests that 60% of women and underrepresented folks might have already talked themselves out of applying. Even if you donโ€™t check every box above, we want to encourage you to introduce yourself. We believe a diversity of perspectives and experiences makes a team stronger โ€” and the stronger our team, the closer we are to delivering toilets and clean water for all. \n\n#Salary and compensation\n No salary data published by company so we estimated salary based on similar jobs related to Senior, Marketing and Non Tech jobs that are similar:\n\n $50,000 — $100,000/year\n

Youโ€™ve lead teams within software/SaaS companies. \n\n* Blended experience. Youโ€™ve worked in both law firm and in-house roles.\n\n* Public company experience. While Hudl is not public, we might be in the future, and this role would play a part in getting us there. Capital markets, securities law, and/or corporate governance experience is a plus.\n\n\n\nOur Role\n\n\nChampion work-life harmony. Weโ€™ll give you the flexibility you need in your work life (e.g., flexible vacation time, company-wide holidays and timeout (meeting-free) days, remote work options and more) so you can enjoy your personal life too.\n\nGuarantee autonomy. We have multiple plans to pick from to ensure youโ€™ll have the coverage you (and your dependents) want, including vision, dental, fertility healthcare and family forming benefits.\n\nContribute to your 401(K). Yep, thatโ€™s free money. Weโ€™ll match up to 4% of your own contribution.\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n No salary data published by company so we estimated salary based on similar jobs related to Senior, Legal and Non Tech jobs that are similar:\n\n $60,000 — $110,000/year\n

Vox Media, LLC is hiring a
Remote Senior Policy Politics & Ideas Editor

\nVox is seeking an experienced editor to oversee a team of writers who explore and explain the impact of ideas on global and American culture, politics, and daily life. This editor should be comfortable leading a diverse team covering a wide range of subjects, including but not limited to international news, domestic politics and policy, race, culture, and more.\n\n \n\nThis position will work under the editorial director for policy, politics and ideas, but this role will not be focused on news coverage of political or policy developments. Weโ€™re looking for an editor who can help put the day-to-day in perspective and see around the corner to help readers understand influential ideas and arguments, in formats ranging from quick daily pieces to in-depth, argument-driven (but still reported) features and essays. \n\n \n\nInstead of writing about, say, the latest developments in the Middle East in an incremental way, we want writers to find a sharp angle that cuts through the conversation, or a step-back explainer that gives the reader a comprehensive understanding of the region, or an argument-driven reported essay that makes the case for a certain policy. Instead of reporting the daily back-and-forth on a bill in Congress, we want an editor to assign pieces that zoom out to the underlying problem, or offer a crisp perspective on what the fight says about the state of the American political system. In other words, we want distinctive angles on the day's news, something that adds value to what's already being reported in dozens of other outlets.\n\n \n\nThis editor should be comfortable working with different formats and thinking creatively about the best way to approach major events and conversations of today, while guiding writers to do entrepreneurial intellectual work to find the emerging ideas that will shape those events tomorrow. \n\n \n\nYou should think about news and sourcing broadly โ€” how can ideas in history, social science, activism or legal academia help us understand whatโ€™s happening now? Which thinkers are doing important work that will reshape mainstream discourse or shed light on major events? We're looking for a wide-ranging intellect who is comfortable in the world of ideas, broadly conceived. \n\n \nWHO WE ARE\n\nVox candidly shepherds audiences through politics and policy, business and pop culture, food, science, and everything else that matters.\n\nVox is part of Vox Media, the leading modern media company. We guide our audience from discovery to obsession. We inspire essential conversations about whatโ€™s now, whatโ€™s next, and whatโ€™s possible.\n\nAs a community of journalists and storytellers, business professionals, creators and technologists, we believe it is a moral and business imperative to amplify voices: to cultivate diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout our organization and media. This applies to our candidates, our teams, our storytelling, our creative work, and our platforms, products, and partnerships.\n\n \nWHAT YOUโ€™LL DO\n\n\n* Set the broader editorial vision and daily coverage priorities for a small team of reporters\n\n* Conceptualize, assign, and edit pieces rooted in reporting and research, including explainers, argument-driven essays, and features\n\n* Stay on top of the news, both foreign and domestic, to find the angles that will lead to truly distinctive analytical, contextual, and deeply informed journalism\n\n* Manage and lead our team of writers, with an eye toward expanding our freelance stable\n\n* Find opportunities for collaboration with Voxโ€™s audio and video teams and other editors across the Vox newsroom\n\n\n\n\n \nWHO YOU ARE\n\n\n* 5 yearsโ€™ experience editing\n\n* Strong leadership, management, and editing skills\n\n* Analytical rigor. We want an editor with an ability to pressure-test our own writersโ€™ arguments and steelman opposing ones. We want an editor who can confidently edit pieces that explain ideas and/or stake out intellectual claims, and who is eager to assign and edit pieces that embrace nuance and complicate narratives without sacrificing clarity. \n\n* Excellent news judgment and a demonstrated ability to bring analysis and sharp angles to news stories\n\n* Familiarity with or interest in a range of subject areas -- history, political science, economics, foreign policy and IR, science and tech, among others. To be clear, expertise in any (let alone all) of these fields is not an expectation. Weโ€™re seeking a curious, peripatetic mind to guide a team with a range of intellectual passions.\n\n* Experience editing/familiarity with foreign coverage is a plus. Though this is not primarily a foreign affairs editing position, we do expect our writers to be able to analyze and offer perspectives on developments in the wider world.\n\n\n\n\nIf you think you have what it takes, but don't meet every single point in our job posting, please apply with a cover letter to let us know how you believe you can bring your unique skills to the Vox Media team or get in touch! Weโ€™ve hired chefs who became editors, DJs who became UX designers, and sommeliers who became writers.\n\n \nWHERE YOUโ€™LL WORK\n\nThis job is remote.\n\n \nWHY VOX MEDIA?\nWHAT WE OFFER\n\nThis is a permanent, full-time position. This job is benefits-eligible. We pride ourselves in providing comprehensive benefits to support all of our employees wherever they are in life. You can find more information about our benefits here.\n\n \nOUR DEI+ COMMITMENT\n\nVox Media is committed to building an inclusive environment where everyone can show up as their authentic selves and create their best work. We recognize that great stories, platforms, products and services come from people with all manner of backgrounds and experiences. We recognize that our commitments require ongoing work and sustained attention, as well as adaptation to new insights and best practices. We keep our diversity data public for the sake of accountability, transparency and communication. Learn more about our values here, and our approach to corporate citizenship here. \n\nVox Media is an Equal Opportunity Employer and qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, color, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, religion, disability, national origin, protected veteran status, age, or any other status protected by applicable national, federal, state, or local law. Vox Media will also consider all qualified applicants with criminal histories in accordance with applicable Fair Chance laws. We are also committed to providing reasonable accommodations as part of the application process to candidates with disabilities.
