  • Support 360 activity planning through the development, implementation, and evaluation of programming in collaboration with other functions

Education, Skills & Experience

About The Opportunity


The Principal Service Consultant guides the overall design and delivery of the Ceridian HCM solution to meet customer requirements and provides oversight and direction to project team members in the execution of project activities in all stages of the implementation lifecycle (planning, discovery, design, configuration, testing, deployment, post go-live support). Provide Implementation Services to customers:


  • Support the project team in the validation of customer's business requirements and mapping to Ceridian functionality
  • Design and document innovative solutions to solve customersโ€™ business needs

  • Act as subject matter expert (SME) on strategic implementations

Lucid has an exciting opportunity for a Strategic Finance Intern to join the Strategic Finance (FP&A) team. This position will be responsible for a wide range of projects including strategic analysis to support Lucidโ€™s KPIs, financial modeling, variance reporting, and ad hoc assignments. You will also be responsible for working on initiatives to improve existing FP&A processes, including automation, documentation, and streamlining of deliverables to align with best practices. The ideal candidate will have superb analytical abilities, strong skills in financial modeling, a firm understanding of finance and accounting concepts, and a desire to find solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Drive improvement of financial reporting and forecasting processes in coordination with Finance team members, Accounting team, and other departments
  • Produce analysis and tracking of strategic initiatives and key company metrics, including the development of supporting models and expected outcomes
  • Communicate financial and accounting information and trends to the management team to ensure that real-time business decisions can be made based on sound financial data
  • Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
  • Ad-hoc analysis as required
Requirements
  • Completing a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Information Systems or related field
  • Interested and excited to work in a high-growth tech/software SaaS company
  • Experience in working collaboratively with a team, with strong communication skills
  • Proactive, self-starter, quick learner, highly motivated
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Ability to scope projects and execute on deliverables, communicating effectively along the way
  • Experience in Excel/Google Sheets and PowerPoint/Google Slides
  • Bias towards finding solutions vs. shutting down ideas
  • Proficiency in SQL or other programming languages is a plus

  • You will become an expert on the company's data platform.

  • Provide ad-hoc analysis as necessary.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
  • A minimum of 1 year (professional, co-op and/or intern) of analytics experience, preferably in highly regulated field.
  • You have experience with SQL and tableau. Additional programming language experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of statistics and hypothesis testing. Model building experience is a plus.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • You are detail-oriented.
  • You have a BS in Mathematics, Business, or a related field.

  • Climate Equity & Disaster Relief: Climate change does not impact every community equally, and it is incumbent upon us to implement inclusive solutions that do not leave anyone behind. The GM Climate Equity Fund aims to help fund organizations that are closing the climate equity gap at the community level and across three key areas: sustainable jobs, access to sustainable transportation and community climate action.

Responsibilities may include:
  • Supporting the Climate Equity and Disaster Relief program officer with various projects, including idea development for grantmaking strategy
  • Producing insights from grantmaking data leading to new ideas
  • Preparing emails and other correspondence as required
  • Reviewing and processing grant applications
  • Meeting with potential and existing nonprofits on behalf of GM
  • Researching potential nonprofit organizations that align with the fund strategy

Basic Qualifications:
  • Pursuit of a Bachelorโ€™s or Masterโ€™s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business, Environmental Sciences, Social Work or related field
  • Must be graduating between December 2023 and June 2025
  • Demonstrates leadership in field of study, extra-curricular activities or service organizations
  • Able to work full-time - 40 hours per week during the summer months
  • Strong commitment to the fundโ€™s vision and values with the ability to demonstrate that commitment in daily interactions.

  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Outstanding interpersonal and relationship management skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with varying levels of the organization as needed
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Emerging partnership and teamwork skills and ability to learn from and share knowledge with co-workers in a fast-paced environment
  • Emerging presentation and speaking skills to represent GM during interactions with nonprofit organizations
  • High level of integrity, ability to deal with ambiguity, takes initiative/self-directed
  • Evidence of strong character with integrity, honesty, accountability, and trust
  • Experience working with a nonprofit organization as a volunteer or staff member

This role offers the following Work Appropriately strategies:
  • Remote: This position does not require employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively. The employeeโ€™s role enables them to work off-site on a permanent basis.

The median level of the monthly salary compensation for this role is $4,250 dependent upon class status and degree. Benefit options are not available for this role.

GM will provide a one-time lump sum taxable stipend payment to each student selected for the 2023 Student Program.
