Remote Tax Manager

Using our commerce, marketing, and delivery solutions, our customers create optimized consumer shopping journeys from beginning to end.\n\n \n\nOverview \n\nThe Tax Manager is an essential member of our Finance team, managing and coordinating the organizationโs tax compliance and planning activities, ensuring adherence to all federal, state, local, and foreign tax regulations. This individual contributor role requires a strong understanding of tax laws, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently on complex tax issues. \n\n \n\nResponsibilities\n\n\nManage the preparation and review of federal, state, and local income tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. \n\nPrepare quarterly and annual tax provision calculations in accordance with ASC 740. \n\nManage sales tax process including analyzing taxability, staying current with tax law changes and review of sales and use tax and VAT returns \n\nMaintain and update tax records and documentation to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations. \n\nIdentify and implement tax planning opportunities to minimize tax liabilities and optimize tax benefits. \n\nConduct research on tax laws and regulations to provide guidance on tax implications for various business transactions. \n\nAssist in developing and executing tax strategies aligned with the companyโs financial and business objectives. \n\nPrepare and support responses to tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities. \n\nAssist in the preparation of tax-related disclosures for financial statements and regulatory filings. \n\nCollaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure accurate and comprehensive tax reporting. \n\nWork closely with finance, accounting, and legal teams to ensure alignment on tax-related matters. \n\nProvide tax guidance and support for business initiatives, mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic projects. \n\nStay current on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for improvement. \n\nRecommend and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the tax function. \n\n\n\n\n \n\nQualifications \n\nMinimum Qualifications \n\n\nMinimum of 6 years of experience in tax, preferably a mix of public and industry. \n\nStrong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations. \n\nProficiency in tax preparation and accounting software. \n\nProficiency with ERP systems such as Netsuite or Oracle. \n\nProficiency in financial reporting software and advanced Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables). \n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy. \n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders. \n\nStrong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines. \n\nAbility to work independently and take ownership of projects, demonstrating a high level of initiative and self-motivation. \n\nAbility to work Eastern Time Zone hours \n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications \n\n\nBachelorโs degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
