Remote Software Engineer
\nAbout the Software Engineer Position:\n\nWe are looking for a talented and fast-paced engineer with 3+ years experience to join our team and assist with product expansion.\n\nStord engineers work within a team to contribute, improve, and scale our software; you'll build out/modify the back-end (Elixir/Phoenix) and interact with the front-end (React), and contribute to on-going improvements for a product rapidly impacting the entire third-party logistics (3PL) industry. Each member of the team has the ability to impact all aspects of the development process from ideation, design, delivery, maintenance, and operations.\n\nWhat You'll Do: \n\n\n* Own the software as you create, test, iterate, and deliver new features to the Stord platform \n\n* Work across the company to understand customer and vendor pain points, come up with solutions, and then prototype, iterate, and launch daily \n\n* Be surrounded by smart, driven individuals who are passionate about doing their best work every day \n\n* Solve a wide variety of technical challenges as well as supply chain challenges that have yet to be solved\n\n\n\n\nWhat You'll Need:\n\n\n* Passion for building the highest-quality software that delights the user \n\n* Effective communication skills\n\n* Flexibility to move quickly with a startup \n\n* Ready to learn Elixir/Phoenix; experience with MVC frameworks\n\n* Experience with React or React Native\n\n* Appreciation of a test-driven and code-review culture \n\n* Able to translate a user story in to modular, maintainable code in at least one major programming language\n\n* Respects the value of good documentation and starts to live and demonstrate this value consistently\n\n* Understands how code fits into broader technical and/or business context\n\n\n\n\nBonus Points:\n\n\n* Previous startup experience\n\n* Experience with Elixir\n\n* Previous logistics or supply chain experience\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
