Remote Senior Software Engineer
\nAs a senior software engineer on our team, you'll be working closely with the whole company to bring features from ideation to implementation. Your participation will have a significant impact on our company roadmap, and you'll be able to see the outsized impact that your work has on our revenue. Your day-to-day will be largely determined by what you want to work on: in a team of our size, our engineering team also helps own our product, customer success, and growth functions.\nIn this role you will:\n\n\n* Work closely with the whole company to plan, design, build, and refine core product features.\n\n* Own user-impacting features from conception to completion.\n\n* Build and scale our core product and technical infrastructure.\n\n* Have significant ownership in our technical architecture and product roadmap.\n\n* Primarily work on NodeJS web application development in Typescript, but will also be exposed to many other projects in a variety of languages like Haskell, Rust, and Golang.\n\n\n\nAbout you:\n\n\n* Experience building and supporting scalable SaaS products and features.\n\n* Experience as a full-stack software engineer owning and building features end-to-end.\n\n* Experience with relational databases and writing performant SQL queries.\n\n* Ability to break down complex problems, drive towards a solution, and communicate it with the team and other stakeholders (both verbally and written).\n\n* You're comfortable navigating complex domains and building intuitive software for them.\n\n* You thrive in an environment that prefers prototypes over proposals.\n\n* Proactive in sharing ideas and informed opinions with others\n\n* Attention to detail and quality to anticipate edge cases ahead of time\n\n* A growth mindset and willingness to learn new things\n\n* You have 5+ years of experience working as a backend engineer.\n\n* Willingness to take part in an on-call rotation.\n\n* Ability to mentor and be mentored by others.\n\n* Experience with observability tooling\n\n\n\n\nWhy you'll love working at FOSSA:\n\n\n* Amazing team culture and environment\n\n* Named by Forbes as Best Start-up to work for 2022 and Best Remote Start-up 2024 by BuiltIn\n\n* Competitive salary and equity packages\n\n* Unlimited PTO\n\n* Comprehensive benefits: Medical, dental, and vision insurance are covered for employees; flexible spending account; 401k\n\n* Paid maternity and paternity leave\n\n\n\n\nFOSSA is an equal-opportunity employer.
