Remote Senior Software Developer

This includes developing features such as exam registration, demographics forms, accommodations request management, single sign-on (SSO) integration, exam simulation, and score reporting functionalities.\nDeliverables\n\n\n* Develop and implement new features for the JD-Next project, focusing on improving the student and administrator experience.\n\n* Ensure seamless integration with external systems like Territorium for exam simulations and high-stakes exam access.\n\n* Create and manage demographics forms and survey data for psychometric analysis.\n\n* Develop robust accommodations request management tools for students and administrators.\n\n* Implement SSO and secure data transmission protocols.\n\n* Enhance the course experience with user-friendly permissions, discussion boards, and notification systems.\n\n* Maintain high standards of code quality, performance, and security.\n\n\n\nRequirements\n\n\n* Proven experience with Open edX platform development.\n\n* Proficiency in Python and Django web framework.\n\n* Strong understanding of web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX.\n\n* Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.\n\n* Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React or Angular.\n\n* Solid understanding of database technologies, particularly MySQL or PostgreSQL.\n\n* Experience with version control systems like Git.\n\n* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\n\n* Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.\n\n\n\nNice to Have\n\n\n* Experience with educational technology and online learning platforms.\n\n* Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices.\n\n* Familiarity with cloud services like AWS or Azure.\n\n* Understanding of psychometrics and data analysis for educational purposes.\n\n* Experience with agile development methodologies.\n\n\n\n\nIf you are passionate about education and technology and want to make a significant impact on the learning experience of students worldwide, we would love to hear from you.
