Remote DevOps Engineer

We’re heavily execution-driven, flexible and impact-focused.\n\n\nOur aim is to provide a seamless user experience to the applications that integrate us, ultimately driving adoption in the ecosystem. \n\n\n\nObjectives\n* Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure\n* Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes\n* Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats\n* Carrying out security audits and ensuring security compliances\n* Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and ‘fixes’\n* Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended\n* Setting up Devops related processes and ensuring that they are followed throughout the company\n* Participate in creation of architectures of features\n* Planning out projects and being involved in project management decisions\n\n\n\nResponsibilities\n* Deploy updates and fixes\n* Ensuring high uptime on all our services\n* Provide Level 2 technical support and be on-call for Devops team\n* Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience\n* Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems\n* Perform root cause analysis for production errorsInvestigate and resolve technical issues\n* Develop scripts to automate visualization\n* Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance\n\n\n\nSkills and Qualifications\n* BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field\n* Min 3 years experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role\n* Proficient with git and git workflows\n* Working knowledge of databases and SQL\n* Working knowledge scripting languages - python, Go and/or nodejs. Rust is a huge plus\n* At Web3Auth, Devops team creates CLI and other tools that allow self hosting of our nodes\n* Working knowledge of docker, kubernetes, helm and terraform\n* Must be proficient with cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP. Experience with multi cloud setups is a huge plus.\n* Experience with Prometheus, Grafana and other monitoring tools \n* Problem-solving attitude \n* Collaborative team spirit\n* Experience in system engineering is a plus.\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat we offer\nWe offer competitive salaries and a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
