Instructors will have a direct hand in changing the lives of our students.\n\nThis is a fully remote, part-time position. \n\nWhy teach with us?\n\nInstructors, with the help of teaching assistants; lead classroom discussions, emphasize the meta-skills and core concepts, support students in their projects and challenges, and provide feedback to students.\n\nYou don't have to have a ton of experience with teaching! You just have to be a lifelong learner, proven teacher or mentor, or love to help people change their lives to succeed.\n\nWhat You Will Do:\n\n\nLead online lectures following a detailed lesson plan that includes an active discussion environment and project-based learning.\n\nBring the learning experience to life by building community and enhancing relevance by drawing on your own industry experience\n\nTranslate complex subject matter in a clear and concise manner for a diverse range of learners or skill levels\n\nProvide support and encouragement to students as they go through a life-changing experience\n\nCreate an engaging, positive, and inclusive learning environment for our students.\n\nIncrease participant engagement using di๏ฌerent facilitation tactics\n\nGuide large and small groups of learners in an empathetic manner\n\nAmplify student satisfaction by creating a positive classroom culture\n\nCommunicating timely with students and leveraging effective interventions by sharing resources\n\n\n\n\nSkills & Requirements:\n\n\nBachelor's Degree Preferred \n\nMinimum of 5 years of work experience in Cybersecurity\n\nMust have a laptop, camera, and reliable internet access\n\n\n\nOne additional monitor, microphone / headset are highly recommended\n\nPlease note that Linux-based computers and Apple MacBooks featuring the Apple Silicon M1 or M2 chip are NOT PERMITTED \n\n\n\nA positive attitude\n\nAbility to deliver lesson plans provided by 2U\n\nShare your own professional experiences and industry insight with the students\n\nBe able to infuse empathy, support, encouragement, and fun into the student experience\n\n\n\n\nProficiency in the following is required:\n\n\nNetworking with packet analysis, wireshark, router and switch configuration\n\nSystems with Windows and Linux\n\nCybersecurity with secure network design and architecture, vulnerability assessment, and cryptography\n\nEthical Hack and Penetration with Kali Linux, Metasploit, or Burp Suite\n\nProgramming and Scripting with Python Program and Bash Scripting\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLogistics:\n\n\n24-week program (this is a part-time commitment)\n\nM/T/TH OR M/W/TH schedule\n\nClasses: 5:45 - 10pm (includes office hours and break)\n\nClasses are taught live online\n\n\n\n\nPerks:\n\n\nMaintain your current career while teaching\n\nPaid Sick and Safe Leave\n\nAccess to Wellness and Educational Resources\n\n20% Discount on 2U Short Courses\n\nHone your skills by teaching and mentoring others\n\nExpand your network by joining the thousands of industry professionals who make up our instructional staff\n\nExperience the gratitude and fulfillment that comes along with teaching and giving back to the tech community\n\n\n\n\n \n\nHourly salary only: In Colorado, the anticipated hourly salary for this role is $49.27 - $52.35/hr.
