Hillel International is hiring a
Remote Associate Director for Israel Education

\nThe Center for Jewish and Israel Education at Hillel International is a team dedicated to supporting Jewish college students on a pathway toward Jewish adulthood. We envision students as ready to make life choices informed by Jewish values, confident in crafting Jewish experiences for themselves & their peers, and eager to find their next steps in Jewish life. We support, train, and provide resources for campus professionals to guide their students along that journey while also providing direct-to-student Jewish learning and leadership programming. \n\nWe envision a world in which Hillel is the central meeting point for inspired learning about and lasting engagement with Israel. In line with the best practices of education and the deepest wisdom of Jewish thought, we hold ourselves to an approach that centers authentic inquiry, multivocality, and personal reflection. When we do this well, we embody an approach to Israel education that resonates with emerging adult learners and welcomes every student to meaningfully explore their relationship to Israel. \n\nThe Center for Jewish and Israel Education (CJIE) has been pioneering this work across a suite of programming and more broadly influencing the ways Israel education manifests in the Hillel movement. \n\nA core guiding principle of our work has been the Inquiry Centered Model for Israel Education. We will continue to innovate around the field of Israel Education, responding to the changing needs of campuses, professionals, and students.\n\nThe Israel Education work of the Center for Jewish and Israel Education has included: Our Masterclass: Israel (MCI) is designed to support Hillel educators toward great pedagogical and content knowledge is in its fifth cohort and has had a deep impact on the ways Israel education is deployed on campus. The Israel Insight Fellowship, a unique travel experience for select student leaders, has created new ways for those leaders to engage with the essential questions that Israel poses for contemporary students. Masterclass Israel Xperience (MCIX) innovated a new model of Israel educational travel in partnership with JAFI: Makom focused on exploring the tribes of Israel.  In response to the events of October 7 and the war that followed, the CJIE has pioneered immersive educational travel, the Tzofim and Sipurim trips, for Hillel professionals, supporting their personal and professional exploration of Israel, as well as the development of several curricula to support the efforts of campus educators to help students learn and process the new reality. \n\nThe Associate Director of Israel Education will support this body of work to continue the growth and impact of these various programs while also piloting and building new learning opportunities.\nWhat Youโ€™ll Do\n\nThe CJIE Associate Director of Israel Education will co-develop and oversee a series of interventions designed to increase nuanced and engaging educational programming for Hillel professionals. The fellowship will focus on both facilitation skills and content delivery. \n\n* Design and development of โ€œtrain the trainerโ€ type programming for campus professionals to lead fellowships on their campuses\n\n* Develop a Birthright extension program focused on Hillel professionals and students that focuses on Israelโ€™s challenges, opportunities, and inspirations\n\n* Regional gatherings focused on specific skill areas related to Israel education. \n\n* Online learning opportunities and resources that provide access points for field professionals including Hillel U-based sessions, educational materials, curricula, etc. to be housed on Hillel Hub. \n\n\n\nWho weโ€™re looking for\n\nYou will excel in this role if you\n\n\n* Are an educational and strategic thinker\n\n* Enjoy managing complex programs and systems\n\n* Love to work with a variety of Jewish professionals from all different types of backgrounds and positions \n\n* Have an expansive understanding of what we mean when we say, Jewish and Israel education\n\n* Hold their own sense of commitment and connection to Israel, as a central and inspiring commitment of the Jewish people, while also holding a broad understanding of the various ways our constituents relate to it.\n\n* Have an understanding of the campus and Jewish college students today, with a particular understanding of the challenges related to Israel on campus\n\n* Deeply understand the history and culture of Israel, Zionism, and the Jewish people\n\n* Comfortable presenting a multi-vocal approach to Israel and its conflicts while embracing ambiguity and complexity\n\n* Have an understanding of the challenges of teaching about Israel with nuance, passion, and openness\n\n* Solve problems with curiosity, resilience, and the ability to find new well-thought-out approaches to challenges; and\n\n* Are highly collaborative and a great team player who can also work independently.\n\n\n\nThe skills you will need to bring to this position\n\nRequired\n\n\n* Deep familiarity with the social, political, and cultural landscape(s) of Israel (including Palestinian experiences/narratives)\n\n* Passion and commitment to the field of education, especially college-age and early career professionals, born out of a love of learning\n\n* 6+ years of professional experience and hold a degree in a related field\n\n* Experience with curricular and educational design\n\n* Experience teaching and facilitating\n\n* Tech savvy and eager to use new platforms and technologies\n\n* Team player excited to innovate and scale while managing multiple projects and relationships at once\n\n* Committed to question-centric, nuanced Israel education, in line with the Inquiry-Centered Model\n\n* Passion for travel to Israel with the potential for multiple Israel trips a year is required. While difficult to accurately predict because of the dynamic nature of the work, travel should be expected nearly monthly, approximately 8-12 times a year.\n\n\n\n\nDesired\n\n\n* Experience working in the field of Israel education, or Jewish education more broadly\n\n* Ability to navigate large organizational relations, Israelโ€™s tourism and NGO environment \n\n* Lived experience in Israel \n\n* Professional or academic training in Israel education, Israeli politics, Israeli history, or Israeli culture\n\n* Experience working with emerging adults, specifically college students and early career professionals\n\n* Familiarity or experience within the Hillel movement\n\n* Professional training in education and/or facilitation\n\n* Hebrew proficiency\n\n\n\nWhat Youโ€™ll Get \n\nThis position has a salary range of $75,000 -$95,000. This salary falls in Hillelโ€™s Compensation Level 5, depending on experience. \n\nHillel offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, life insurance, Long Term Disability (LTD), Flexible Spending Plan, unlimited vacation, generous sick time, parental leave, and flexible work-from-home policy. In addition, employees are enthusiastically encouraged to take advantage of professional development opportunities through Hillel or our partner organizations.\nTime Zones and Workplace\n\nWhile Hillel Internationalโ€™s headquarters are in Washington DC, we are a remote team, open to hiring anyone based in the United States with eligibility to work in the United States. We have a flexible work schedule, which aims to support our employees in maintaining maximally successful professional and personal lives. That said, we expect our employees to keep regular hours that are mutually agreed upon by the employee and their supervisor. While this position is remote, there are semi-regular in-person gatherings, trainings, and conferences that we expect our team to fully participate in. Regular travel is an expected part of this job, including travel to Israel. \nA note for current Hillel professionals\n\nCurrent campus professionals may apply,  and if a current Hillel professional is the finalist, we will work with them and their campus/supervisor to navigate a smooth transition on a mutually agreeable timeline. We are prepared to share time and resources during the transition so that a field colleague can wrap up their work on campus as they transition to a position at the SIC. Remote Senior Software Engineer Trading Team

\nTrading Systems Senior Engineer\n\nCoinList is where early adopters invest in and trade the best digital assets, and is now one of the fastest growing crypto financial platforms. We support the full lifecycle of crypto investment, from token sales through token distribution, trading, lending, and crypto-specific services such as staking and access to decentralized-finance opportunities. CoinList users trade and store Bitcoin, Ether, Filecoin, and many other popular crypto assets through our full-service exchange, CoinList Pro, mobile apps and CoinList.co, while also getting access to the best new tokens before they list on other exchanges. We are the blue chip platform for blockchain companies, helping Filecoin, Blockstack, Solana, Celo, Algorand, Dapper, and others raise over $1.1 Billion. Our customer base includes validators, miners, founders, CEOs, crypto funds, bitcoin OGs, as well as a broad array of crypto enthusiasts. We are backed by top-tier investors, have offices in San Francisco, New York, Montreal and are just getting started.\n\nAs an engineer at CoinList youโ€™ll find that your days are filled with all sorts of fascinating challenges -- from developing smart contracts, to architecting a high performance exchange, to simplifying the complex to help bring crypto to a mainstream audience. Our work is difficult and ambitious, which is what makes it fun.\n\nSpecifically, we are looking for a Senior engineer with 5+ years of experience with previous experience working on trading systems. \n\nIf you are an entrepreneurial person with exceptional engineering talent, weโ€™d love to hear from you!\n\nWho you are:\n\n \n\n\n* \nYou like to ship high quality code. You make deadlines for yourself and you move fast. You focus on the things that matter and push back on things that donโ€™t. People know they can count on you to get things done.\n\n* \nYou love to code. You build stuff for fun on nights and weekends. You contribute to open source. You have deep expertise in certain areas but you consider yourself a generalist and you enjoy learning new platforms.\n\n* \nYouโ€™re really smart. You were a top student in your computer science program or have been teaching yourself programming from an early age. You like being around people who challenge you.\n\n\n\nYouโ€™re curious. You want to understand how things work. You value interesting things, especially outside your discipline. You like teaching others and constantly learning. You read and question things.\n\n\n\nYouโ€™re scrappy and entrepreneurial. Youโ€™ve built apps for fun and worked on side projects before. Youโ€™re interested in all aspects of startups - from user testing, to marketing, to raising capital. If you havenโ€™t already started your own company, you think you might like to in the future.\n\n\n\nYou care about the product. You might not be a product expert, but you value good design. You enjoy thinking about why certain products work and discussing new apps. You want to build delightful products that users love and that make peopleโ€™s lives more meaningful.\n\n\n\nYou have good values. You enjoy hanging out with your teammates, make the workplace more fun for everyone, and care about doing the right thing.\n\n\n\nYou are a 10x thinker, far more excited by huge disruptions than by small improvements. If something is hard, that makes it more fun, and you know that if anyone can figure it out, you can.\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat you will do:\n\n\n\nYouโ€™ll contribute in all areas. You might choose to go deep in web development or building open source dev tools to automate our operations, but like your teammates youโ€™ll make a habit of working across the stack, frequently picking up new languages and platforms as needed.\n\n\n\nYouโ€™ll ship product. From hack days, to experimental prototypes, to developing a new type of auction model, youโ€™ll constantly be building and shipping product. Youโ€™ll write clean, well-documented code, do unit tests, follow best practices, and have the benefit of working in a place where people move fast.\n\n\n\nYouโ€™ll rapidly grow and improve. At CoinList youโ€™ll be working with some of the smartest engineers youโ€™ve ever met, who love to learn and teach each other. Youโ€™ll find yourself stretching to new areas, immersed in feedback, and engrossed in deep conversations on a daily basis.\n\n\n\nYouโ€™ll help shape the product. Our whole team cares deeply about the product and has significant input into its development. Youโ€™ll beta test new prototypes and talk directly with users, and your ideas will always be heard.\n\n\n\nYouโ€™ll learn about startups. From fundraising, to recruiting, to negotiating an office lease, youโ€™ll learn everything there is to know about growing and running a startup of your own, and weโ€™ll do everything we can to connect you with mentors and advisors to help you with your career for years to come.\n\n\n\nYouโ€™ll be an owner. We believe in hiring smart people and giving them as much responsibility as they can handle. Whether itโ€™s running a critical token sale or leading our work on a new platform, weโ€™ll make sure you are always pushing yourself to new levels.\n\n\n\nYouโ€™ll create the future. Crypto is a far bigger deal than most people realize, and at CoinList you will be be at the forefront of it. There are all sorts of technical challenges youโ€™ll be working though and new questions youโ€™ll have to answer, in partnership with founders for the leading crypto projects across the globe. If youโ€™re successful, youโ€™ll build something the world has never before seen.\n\n\n\n\n\nAs an early employee at CoinList you will be a critical part of our core team and have a huge influence over the direction of the company. We will compensate you well, invest deeply in your development, and do everything we can to make sure this is the single best work experience of your life. \n\nAt CoinList, we are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
