Applied Pharmacometrics Training Fellowship โAfrica Region
The Applied Pharmacometrics Training Fellowship โ Africa Region is a collaboration between Certara, Pharmacometrics Africa, CP+ Associates, together with several pharma industry and academic partners, to provide an intensive fellowship program for talented and motivated doctoral level scientists from Africa.
The program has 2 components:
Virtual Program โ A 3-month virtual program (Q1 2023) that will provide fellows with exposure to leading edge pharmacometric model based analysis. The time commitment will be significant (e.g. a minimum of 20 hours per week over the duration of the Virtual Program.
Immersion Program โ Upon completion of the Virtual Program, fellows will have the option to extend the program for another 3 months to an project-based program led by Certara and partners from pharma and academia. The program is designed to foster professional development through immersive training on all competencies required for regulatory quality pharmacometrics analyses and reports. Guided by industry mentors, the fellows will receive class-room training, are assigned individual jointly-agreed upon, precompetitive projects and participate in a leadership development program designed to enhance their decision-making and communication skills.
The Applied Pharmacometrics Training Fellowship โ Africa Region aims to build scientific and leadership capability in Africa by enhancing the skills of local scientists and by facilitating knowledge transfer to their wider scientific communities. The relationships forged between the hosts of this program and the fellows' home institutions will further the endeavour to create next-generation medicines to ease suffering and improve quality of life for patient populations around the world. Successful participants in this program will be considered as candidates to join the consulting team for Certara located on-site in Africa.

Eligibility to this program is based on the following criteria:
You have a PhD or equivalent in a relevant discipline (e.g. pharmaceutical, medical or biological sciences, applied mathematics or statistics)
You have recently completed your PhD or equivalent studies (i.e. early to mid-career)
You should already have done at least 1 clinical pharmacology or pharmacometrics data analysis project using descriptive or a model-based methods
You have evidence of completing relevant courses on model-based analysis methods e.g. Pharmacometrics Africa courses or equivalent
You are a proficient English speaker and based in an African country
You have demonstrated strong team player skills

The Technical Support Specialist - DACH (AKA Customer Support Engineer (CSE)) is responsible for responding to customer issues across our Wdesk and Wdata platforms.

Certara is hiring an Enterprise Account Manager for our Software division based in the EU West focusing on driving growth for Certaraโs existing solutions, managing a both named and a territory account list of the Enterprise Life Sciences companies. The ideal candidate will be located in France, Netherlands or Belgium. In this role, you will build and maintain a thorough understanding of Certara software products and services and work closely to manage and grow our existing business through our direct sales model, but also leveraging other Certara Divisions and Certara Software strategic partners. The role requires industry knowledge including competitive landscape, solution linkage, understanding and uncovering key requirements, in order to properly position our software solutions within your assigned accounts.
This role requires strong initiative, self-motivation and collaborative skills to work with other team members within and externally to Certara. The ideal candidate for this position will possess a strong complex sales aptitude and a willingness to grow sales utilizing complex sales methodologies and approaches.
You will develop, coordinate, and implement plans designed to increase existing business and create/capture new opportunities. You must be keenly aware of organizational growth initiatives related to the life science market and target customer segments, as well as Certaraโs potential to meet customer needs with our software products and services. Ultimately, you are responsible for bookings and revenue growth through the use of value creation for your customers.
Responsibilities
Establish multiple-level contacts within assigned accounts by presenting to, consulting with, and cultivating relationships at all influencers levels including the C-level executives.
Qualify companies and contacts to understand the customerโs key needs/challenges through identification, discovery, planning and account/customer qualifications.
Grow sales by successfully initiating client contacts, generate new leads, and follow up on assigned leads.
Identify, profile and aggressively pursue new clients in the life sciences industry.
Grow sales and follow-up leads into sales through professional key account management.
Develop client specific solutions presentations and contribute to the RFP response and proposal process, developing appropriate win strategies based on your knowledge of the client.
Work with marketing to formulate lead-generation plans that will lead to new revenue generation opportunities. ๏ท Participate in professional trade shows and clinical conferences, or the equivalent, (or as practically possible), setting up client meetings, exhibit coverage and lead generation.
Document communication/discussions and all opportunity details in SalesForce.com to ensure a tracked record of existing correspondence and/or future next steps required.
Utilize market knowledge and industry contacts to grow the Software business in line with agreed commercial goals. This will include pursuing new product opportunities, identifying new contacts and accounts, and broadening the range of business in existing accounts.
Meet/exceed sales quota on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Follow Certara processes and best practices for properly working Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs)
Document all activities (phone and email outreach) within our Salesforce Lightning CRM
Qualifications
10+ years as a business development manager, preferably within the top 50 pharmaceutical companies and enterprise B2B SaaS industry
Masterโs degree (in a science discipline) or advanced business degree preferred
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Attention to detail for capturing all sales interaction into Salesforce
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and set priorities
Ability to work in a high energy team environment
Able to fully utilize the MS Office suite (Excel/Word/PPT)
Proven track record of high level of sales performance in a competitive, dynamic market place.

Responsibilities
As PK-PD data programmer you manage and prepare data for state-of-the-art analysis, such as PopPK or drug exposure-response (PKPD), typically based on CDISC ADaM / SDTM datasets. You interact directly with the client on topics around data transfers, dataset specifications and data queries. You conduct exploratory analyses in support of these activities. Following completion of the project deliverables, you will create an electronic submission package for future submission to regulatory agencies. In addition, you will conduct quality control and quality assurance activities on datasets and reports, and may participate in company initiatives to improve efficiency of data management, analysis and reporting (IT, methodology, automation, quality).
As PK-PD data programmer you will work closely in teams with other associates, (experts) modelers and drug development consultants supporting a wide variety of client projects (therapeutic areas, data types
Qualifications
BSc, MSc or equivalent in Pharmaceutical- or Life Sciences, Statistics/Mathematics/Bio-Informatics, or related fields with 1- 5 yearsโ experience in data management and analysis, report writing, and regulatory drug submissions.
Advanced user of SAS software (SAS9-Base) with proven experience in life sciences and clinical trials. Familiar in working with CDISC data formats. Experience with the R software platform is a plus.
General knowledge of clinical drug development and demonstrated knowledge of pharmacokinetics and pharmacology.
Proficiency in conducting basic statistical analysis.
Accuracy and sense of urgency and quality, timely delivery.
Ability to work on multiple collaborative projects, team player mentality.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English.
