**[Fella Health](https://www.joinfella.com/) is the telehealth clinic for men with obesity, backed by Y Combinator.**\nWith Fella, patients meet a board-certified obesity doctor to prescribe FDA-approved medications, while they undertake personalized health coaching through our app.\n\nObesity is the largest chronic disease in the US (>$100bn spent each year) and the traditional solution ("move more, eat less") only works long-term for ~10% of people. But obesity treatment is radically changing due to a new wave of medication options which are 2-3x more effective than previous options. In addition, only 10% of those using weight management services are men: all programs market to women, not tackling the stigma men feel around this.\n\nFella's founders are [Luke](https://www.linkedin.com/in/luke-harries) & [Richie](https://www.linkedin.com/in/richard-cartwright). We studied together at Cambridge University.\n\n- Lukeย studied pre-med and developed a patented AI approach to detecting cancerย at a YC bio company, before moving to Microsoft Research. He also has a masters in Computer Science.\n- Richie was a data scientist, building and selling an AI company working with the UK government. He personally struggled with binge eating for 6 years, and built a 10k-follower Instagram community around menโs binge eating.\n\nYou can read more about the mission, the rest of the team, and working at Fella here:\n[https://fella.notion.site/Working-at-Fella-14a2ac8575d34d148d009bb410387af4](https://www.notion.so/Working-at-Fella-Health-14a2ac8575d34d148d009bb410387af4)\n\nFella Health is live in Texas, and we recently closed a Seed round to expand nationwide. We're backed by top health/consumer investors:\n\n- Y Combinator\n- BrandProject (venture-builder behind 2 unicorns)\n- Global Founders Capital โ backedย Facebook, Slack, LinkedIn, Revolut,ย Rocket Internet\n- The founders of Indeed, Curative (unicorn), Alan (unicorn), Kaia Health (>$300mil valuation), Vouch Insurance (>$500mil valuation)\n\n## The opportunity as Founding Sales Rep\n\nFella Health is building a world-class team. As the Founding Sales Rep at Fella, youโre an important part of the broader founding team. Youโll work closely with our Head of Growth to help increase conversion for our marketing funnel. Youโll own your own infrastructure & pipeline, run a process for doing outbound calls to warm prospects, and transfer your learnings to the rest of the team to improve our general strategy. Youโll play a key role in developing the playbook so the sales team can expand around you. \n\nThis role is fully remote (US hours), is full-time (FTE), and has flexible working hours.\n\nYou'll work closely with the founders, and report directly to Fella's Head of Growth [Dave Lane](https://www.linkedin.com/in/davidanthonylane/).\n\n## Key responsibilities\n\n- *Build your infrastructure*: Youโll work closely with our Head of Growth & Founding Engineer to build out an optimized tech stack for your work. Youโll know what you want to start (CRM, dialer, SMS & email automation, etc), be comfortable setting this up with guidance from engineering, then constantly iterate to improve your efficiency over time.\n- *Outbound calls to inbound leads*: Youโll own the process of reaching out to potential fellas (Fella customers) who have dropped off in our funnel. With our Head of Growth, youโll decide which experiments to run (e.g. whether to call drop-offs immediately, whether to use FB lead ads) and how best to prioritize leads. Youโll own both โopeningโ and โclosingโ the fella, building trust on a delicate healthcare subject.\n- *Handle inbound*: Youโll own all inbound from potential fellas. Youโll be comfortable closing fellas who have booked calls from our email sequences, and youโll stay on top of all inbound messages from fellas: replies to our email/SMS sequences, replies to our FB ads, pre-conversion messages on our website.\n- *Nurture your pipeline*: Youโll own your sales pipeline. Youโll follow-up diligently after calls, loop round on SMS to fellas who havenโt yet closed, and handle customer objections gracefully. Youโll tightly prioritize across your pipeline.\n- *Create the playbook*: Youโll furiously iterate the sales process, then build out the playbook so we can build out the team. Youโll routinely analyze call recordings to determine what is going well and what you can improve. Youโll review prioritization of leads, iterate your sales scripts, and reconsider value props. Once youโre happy with the process, youโll ensure this playbook is ready for building out the team around you.\n- *Transfer your learnings*: Youโll be spending lots of time with potential fellas, so youโll have great customer insights youโll transfer to our Head of Growth & founders. Youโll have strong thoughts on funnel improvements to improve conversion, potential changes to customer segments & value props, and product recommendations to match fellasโ desires.\n\n## Need to have\n\n- You can work hours in a US timezone to reach fellas at good times for them. That may be before 9am, or after 6pm.\n\nOperating skills\n - *Experience*: you have 2+ years working in phone sales.\n - *Metrics*:ย youโre obsessed with your numbers (open rates, close rates, customer numbers). You hate fluff and focus on things which work.\n - *Infrastructure*: you are comfortable architecting & improving your own phone sales tech stack, directing engineering work where needed. You want to automate your repetitive work.\n - *Pipeline*: youโre organized so you can stay on top of a complex pipeline of interested fellas.\n - *Empathy*: you care about the fellasโ struggles and want to help them. Youโll ask good questions, listen carefully and build trust.\n - *Resilience*: sales isnโt easy. You have grit to close a difficult fella, and energy to improve the process if it isnโt working.\n - *Theory*: youโre well versed in sales theory. Youโre comfortable transitioning between different techniques based on the customer type & objection.\n - *Closing*: you know when and how to turn a potential fella into a paying fella, moving quickly but carefully. Youโll know when to prioritize a lead and when to let them go.\n - *Language*: you speak English fluently.\n\nCultural skills\n - *End-to-end ownership* โ you are comfortable owning projects from noticing the problem to delivering the outcome.\n - *Commitment to candor* โ we believe in open communication and transparency. You are a clear & caring communicator, welcoming feedback.\n - *Belief in the mission* โ we will help 1 million fellas by 2026. We have a lot of work to do, and you are dedicated to the mission.\n - *Do what is needed* โ speed is critical, things change suddenly, and often the solutions we need are messy. You are comfortable moving quickly and taking on gritty work.\n - *Dedication to excellence* โ you are obsessed with your role, with a commitment to compounding self-improvement.\n\n## Nice to have\n\nOperating skills\n - *Experience*: ideally you have high-ticket B2C phone sales experience, maybe in a health-related vertical. Ideally youโve experienced the whole process, from top of funnel to closing.\n - *No-code*: you are comfortable handling no-code tools like G Sheets, Airtable, Zapier.\n - *Copywriting*: youโre a sharp copywriter to produce your own effective email & SMS material.\n - *Marketing*: you have enough knowledge and interest in D2C digital marketing to contribute improvements across the whole marketing funnel.\n - *Managing*: ideally you have experience hiring, training, and managing a team โ and want this experience again in the coming years.\n\nCultural skills\n - *Positive-sum thinking* โ you think in terms of collaboration not competition.\n - *Managing yourself* โ you own your schedule, your habits, your happiness, your life. Your team-members help you flourish, but the eventual responsibility lies with you.\n - *Seeing systems* โ you recognize the system which produces the outcome, and focus on improving the system to fix the true cause of an issue.\n\n## Benefits\n\n- *Compensation*: great salary + early-stage equity\n- Vacation: unlimited PTO with a yearly minimum\n- *Pension*: 401(k) contributions\n- *Healthcare*: high-quality medical insurance\n- *Family*: paid parental leave\n- *Personal development*: budget for books, courses, coaching\n- *Personal wellness*: budget for gym, health apps\n- *Team*: regular off-sites\n- **What are we missing?** We're still early so you get to shape our culture. \n\nPlease mention the word **GRACEFUL** when applying to show you read the job post completely (#RMjE2LjczLjIxNi4yMzY=). **What weโre doing**\n\n80% of the global workforce doesnโt sit behind a desk - think retail assistants, waiters, bartenders, care assistants, nurses and so on. But up until now only 1% of funding has gone into building tools for them.\n\nAs a desk based worker itโs hard to imagine working without tools like Slack, Trello and Gmail, but for much of the deskless workforce, thatโs the current state of play.\n\nThe only way to find out what shifts youโre working is to look at a print out taped to the break room wall. Changes to shifts are scribbled on the printout, photographed then sent to WhatsApp groups. Managers spend hours calling and texting trying and often not succeeding to fill overtime shifts. Payslips are sent in the post or accessed via web 1.0 portals and holiday is requested either in-person or through clunky legacy kiosks. And thatโs just the tip of the iceberg.\n\nThe result is a dissatisfied workforce, soaring rates of attrition and tens of billions wasted in lost productivity, re-hiring and unnecessary agency spend. \n\nThis same workforce is accustomed to the very best in user experience, WhatsApp for messaging, Monzo for banking and AirBnB for holidays.\n\nSo where is the work app?\n\nThatโs what weโre building at Sona. The single app that will deliver a best in class user experience for deskless workers to manage their entire work life.\n\nWeโre still early on in our journey so anyone getting involved has scope to have a huge impact. \n\nWeโve raised a $2.2m pre-seed round from some amazing investors including SpeedInvest and Notion Capital. We have a highly experienced founding team and amazing sales, marketing and customer success people as well as some exceptional engineering and product design talent. \n\n**About the role**\n\nYouโll be working as part of a fully remote, close knit product team. We use Github + ZenHub for code hosting and project management and operate an extremely lightweight sprint based process.\n\nWe like engineers to be heavily involved throughout the product development process, not just in building.\n\nOur stack has two main components:\n\n* A backend with a GraphQL API and web frontend built using Elixir and Phoenix Live View\n* A native mobile application built in React Native + Typescript\n\nWe think in terms of โT Shapedโ developers. This means that while all of us have some ability across the โfull stackโ, most of us have one side of the stack (e.g. Elixir or React Native) weโre stronger on and spend the bulk of our time on.\n\nTypically when somebody starts working with us, they have strong experience with one side of the stack and then learn the other part on the job. \n\n\n**About You**\n\nWe love engineers who have a non nonsense approach to โgetting it shippedโ, who when given the choice between โcomplicated and shinyโ vs โget something simple in front of a userโ will always choose the latter. \n\nEverybodyโs different, but a lot of the following probably applies to you:\n\n* You have extensive professional experience in Elixir or React Native (you don't need both!!)\n* If your experience is in Elixir, youโre happy to talk about OTP, Erlang, Beam and how these relate to each other. Youโve built things using LiveView and are comfortable talking about itโs advantages and challenges. \n* If your experience is in React Native youโre happy to talk about Typescript, the role of generics and when they should be used, what hooks are, how they changed how we build React Native apps and when one should consider writing custom hooks. Youโd be equally happy explaining promises and how they interact with async / await\n* You have a strong preference for over-communication, and take ownership of ensuring you fully understand what youโre working on\n* Youโre in a country which is GMT +/- 3 and fluent communicating both verbally and in writing in English \n\n**How We Work**\n\nWeโre a fully remote team spread across 4 countries (and growing). We have a company stand up most mornings at 10:00 UK time. We aim to have fully paid for company meetups roughly once per quarter. \n\nEverything starts with talking to customers. We like everyone in the company to regularly join either sales calls with new prospects or catch ups with existing customers \n\nWeโre a small company with a strong preference for lightweight, asynchronous processes. Within product we work in sprints with periodic retrospectives.\n\n**Interview Process**\n\nOur interview process follows this pattern:\n\n* Initial phone screen (15-30 minutes) focused primarily on approach to work, career goals and your questions about Sona\n* Technical Interview (1-2 hours) take us through a piece of code you're proud of and talk about how it's architected, what worked well and what you'd do differently if you wrote it again. If you don't have a suitable piece of code, we're also happy to pay you for half a days work to do a take home task. But we understand that everyone's busy so we'd much rather use some code you've already got where possible!\n* Founder Interview (1 hour), focused on why youโre interested in Sona and your questions about the vision\n\n**Benefits**\n\n* Competitive salary\n* Employee share option scheme\n* New M1 Macbook + equipment grant for home office\n* Co-working stipend \n* 4.5 day standard working week (take your half day out when it suits you)\n* Unlimited free books \n\nPlease mention the words **WORLD DIAL HUNT** when applying to show you read the job post completely (#RMjE2LjczLjIxNi4yMzY=). \nWe’re a mighty team of more than 300 creative thinkers, experienced leaders, passionate innovators and some of the friendliest folks you’ll ever meet. We work at seven offices around the globe, with headquarters in Berlin. We like to refer to ourselves as Uberallers, too.\n\nIn 2013, Uberall was born out of the vision by longtime friends and business partners David Federhen and Florian Hübner. They created a platform that would connect companies with local customers through search and discovery, engagement and conversion.\n\nOur SaaS platform enables multi-location brands and businesses to boost their online presence. Our customers are as large as KFC, BP and DHL (and others whose names are not entirely made of capital letters!) and as small as your local independent coffee shop or record store.\n\nSome customers work directly with us, and many more engage with our platform via Reseller Partners around the world. More than one million business locations trust the Uberall platform to manage the connections with their customers and prospects on the search engines, platforms and directories that matter.\n\nLearn more at www.uberall.com.\n\nAbout the role: \n\nAs our Team Lead Engineering (m/f/d) you are a senior engineer who leads a squad.
