We’re looking to add a stellar person to become our first dedicated Affiliate Manager to help us manage our already successful affiliate program and level up our efforts to make this channel a significant percentage of our annual revenue.

About You

As an Affiliate Manager you’ll be responsible for managing and supporting our existing network of affiliates as well as growing the number of affiliates in the program through inbound application qualification and some outbound efforts. We’re looking for a proactive go-getter who is curious about people, has a strong and friendly demeanor, and enjoys talking to people with a vast range of backgrounds. 

This isn’t your typical affiliate manager role. This program has already grown to produce 10% of our subscription revenue and we are looking for the right person to level up this program and double that number. We have consistent new applications for the program and we need someone to dedicate 100% of their time helping these affiliates acquire more customers for Close.

You’ll be reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, Nick Persico, who reports to the CEO and working very closely with our Sr. Partnership Manager, James Urie.

Requirements

  • Physically based in North or South American time zones.
  • >1 years experience in affiliate management, partnerships, sales, or business development. Ideally, in the SaaS space. 
  • Curious about people, comfortable running zoom calls and demos, and get fulfillment from helping people grow their business. 
  • Function from a place of friendly strength. 
  • High level of proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, track, and nurture existing affiliate partners in Partnerstack. 
  • Qualify and approve/deny new affiliate applications. 
  • Schedule calls with high quality new affiliates to understand their business, how they will promote Close, and offer our support to make them more successful. 
  • Develop and optimize affiliate relationships in order to drive new acquired customers through affiliate channels. 
  • Monitor affiliate activity, analyze performance, identify areas of improvement, and optimize affiliate performance to increase affiliate-generated revenues. 
  • Proactive outreach to high quality partners that are not producing signups or sales to understand how we can help them drive new customers to Close. 
  • Quarterly communication with startups associated with our top startup program partners to drive top startups to use Close as their foundational sales tool. 
  • Review and audit monthly affiliate commissions to ensure payouts are correct using Partnerstack.

About You

We’re seeking an experienced outreach marketing manager to build and scale our marketing outreach initiatives to build successful partnerships with other brands. About You

We're looking for an experienced full-time Frontend Engineering Manager to join our engineering team. You should be an empathetic leader, have spent part of your career as a senior-level engineer, and want to help build & grow a team of high-performing engineers.

You should have senior-level (4 years+) experience building modern frontend applications, preferably using React or similar framework.

You should have significant experience (2 years+) leading and growing a team of engineers. You enjoy helping engineers thrive and grow in their roles. You should have a very good idea of how to run 1:1s with your direct reports and how to form strong relationships. You should be comfortable with giving continuous feedback and doing performance reviews. You are expected to grow the team as-needed and help lead a hiring process.

You have a track record of managing engineering teams that delivered great products and features. You should be very comfortable working with the Product and Design teams to formulate product ideas, skilled at writing & reviewing technical specifications, and planning work for your team. ABOUT YOU
We're looking for a full-time Engineering Manager to join our core Product & Engineering Team who has significant experience building, managing, and monitoring backend services at scale. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a medium-sized, talented team where you're supported in your efforts to grow professionally. Reporting to the Director of Backend Engineering, you will lead a small team of Python engineers, helping them solve technical challenges, project planning and providing other support as needed to help them build our backedn services. Your team will split its time working on a combination of (a) general backend projects to improve our product, and (b) specific focus areas assigned to your team.


Areas of focus...

  • Data storage systems including traditional SQL and NoSQL databases as well as advanced indexing/searching technologies (Mongo, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch)
  • Reporting and Business Intelligence systems (custom implementations using Elasticsearch plugins, SQL window functions and other analytical techniques)
  • Messaging and queuing systems (Kafka, Redis, PostgreSQL)
  • Batch/Async job processing frameworks (TaskTiger)


Key responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow a team of 4-8 mostly senior Python software engineers, support them through 1:1s and continuous feedback, and support their career growth.
  • Help manage our software development cycles by supporting prioritizing, speccing, and building features (our process is loosely based on Shape Up). 
  • Work with other Close teams to communicate changes, gather requirements, and maintain open communication across our organization.
  • Develop a roadmap for their team’s focus areas and set goals to work towards that plan.
  • Help tune our engineering processes to allow us to scale and continue shipping high quality software.

  • This position is primarily a management role but the candidate should be comfortable with coding efforts like PR reviews, bug fixes, and other coding activities outside of critical path development efforts.


You should...

  • Have 2+ years leading a software engineering team.
  • Have 4+ years of senior software engineering experience (Senior experience in other languages is acceptable but working knowledge of Python is a must).

About You
