Writing clean, reliable, adequately tested code.
Properly submits pull requests with code fulfilling a ticket's acceptance criteria.
Communicate any blockers, progress, and statuses regarding a ticket.
Uses best practices regarding accessibility, site performance, & SEO.
Uses HTML, CSS, JS to create eCommerce elements matching client-approved designs and functionality.
Creates test cases for completed work to pass on to QA.

Relevant Experience:
Must have experience:
A wide breadth of knowledge regarding standards-compliant HTML | CSS & Javascript - Including responsive design techniques, performance implications of CSS / CSS Animations & JavaScript.
Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles and concepts including context, hooks, and functional components.
Experience with Next.js or Gatsby.js.
Basic knowledge of Node.js.
Familiarity with both RESTful & GraphQL APIs.
Familiarity with code versioning tools, such as Git.
Automated testing: unit tests, end-to-end integration tests, etc.
eCommerce experience on one platform or more such as Shopify, BigCommerce, or Magento.

Beyond coding, you enjoy working in an evolving industry.\n\nRoles and Responsibilities\n\n\n* Develop new user-facing features\n\n* Design and write efficient, well tested and highly readable code for future use\n\n* Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs\n\n* Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability\n\n* Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end\n\n* Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders\n\n* Mentor junior members of the frontend team\n\n\n\n\nEducation and Experience\n\n\n* 4+ years of software engineering experience\n\n* Bachelor's in Computer science, Engineering, Business, Economics or a related discipline.\n\n* Expert knowledge of Javascript and frontend frameworks (React and/or Vue)\n\n* Experience developing rich, reliable, cross-browser-compatible web experiences\n\n* Expert knowledge of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX\n\n* Experience designing elegant, expressive client-side Javascript APIs\n\n* Experience creating robust UI automation testing as part of the development process \n\n* An ability to translate designs into pixel-perfect HTML and CSS\n\n* Extensive knowledge of best engineering practices in agile software development: architectural paradigms, code reviews, branching, task management, documentation, testing\n\n* A passion for frontend engineering\n\n\n\n\nWe thank you for your interest in employment opportunities at Namaste Technologies. \nHubstaff is a fast-growing startup in the time tracking and project management space that fully embraces remote work.\n\nWe are looking for a talented server engineer who enjoys focusing on frontend development to join our passionate development team.\n\nThe correct person will take pride in their work, have extreme attention to detail, and be able to get their hands dirty implementing HTML/CSS/JS frontends. Implementing the designs from our design team will be the majority of the job role.\n\nFamiliarity with popular JavaScript frameworks (React, etc.) is preferable.\n\nWe are looking for a well-rounded developer who has the backend chops to implement the server-side aspects of their projects using Ruby on Rails.\n\nThis position will report directly to our Head of Development and work closely with our other engineers.
