Remote Software Alliances Sales Director

\nWe are growing our ISV software alliance team in EMEA and the Americas to drive partnerships for licensing and embedding Ubuntu and Ubuntu Pro into software and SAAS solutions.\n\nCanonical supports ISV customers building on Ubuntu and Ubuntu Pro, to help them deliver fast, reliable, secure, compliant and consistent solutions. We provide the world's largest base of open source software with a full support SLA, FIPS cryptographic compliance, HIPAA and FedRAMP compliant security commitments, and the number one developer experiences. We have a number of significant competitive advantages and unique selling points. We work closely with every major public cloud to optimise Ubuntu for their environment, integrating it with their cloud-specific services and capabilities. That makes it easier for ISVs to offer their solution across all of those clouds with confidence. We also work with every major server vendor, IoT vendor, and silicon provider, to enable, optimise and certify Ubuntu on that hardware. This makes Ubuntu an outstanding choice for ISVs selling physical appliances or traditional application software.\n\nISVs who build on Ubuntu get ten years of security coverage guarantees which enable them to meet enterprise SLA commitments. We cover 35,000 packages in Ubuntu, and also offer ten-year security SLAs for open source components that are not packaged but which are critical components in the AI/ML supply chain, enabling Docker images and VM images to be built with those components fully certified and assured. The world's biggest brands in AI build on these Ubuntu Pro capabilities to ensure they stay focused on their product proposition rather than maintenance or compliance.\n\nThese business development roles require an understanding of the open source ecosystem and software supply chain. We support our customers with embedded support and licensing agreements, helping them build custom Docker and VM images for public cloud distribution, joint GTM planning and long term strategic partnerships. Successful candidates will work with Marketing, Product, Alliances and Sales colleagues to prospect ISV accounts, introduce our offerings, negotiate and help partners develop their products to best leverage our portfolio. You have Saas and sales led growth experience and are committed to a test and learn philosophy that can take a good footprint and make it great.   \n \n\nIn this role, youโ€™ll be responsible for:\n\nOperations and Analytics:\n\n\n* Own our marketing systems architecture and strategy.\n\n* Assist in the quarterly budgeting process. Track marketing budget to evaluate efficacy of spend. Recommend marketing mix and channel/program optimization.\n\n* Lead the vision for our marketing technology roadmap - audit and evaluate our marketing technology stack, including automation capabilities, lead processing, measurement and reporting.\n\n* Own marketing database strategy and data requests (e.g. segmentation, list creation).\n\n* Own and manage campaign operations; including email and newsletter sends, audience segmentation, landing page creation, webinar ops, program integrations, list uploads and lead flow management\n\n* Own the Email Marketing channel and manage the email send calendar to optimize the marketing touches\n\n* Work with marketing, revenue operations, performance marketing and sales leaders to actively monitor, analyze, measure and report the health of marketing contributions to pipeline, revenue and retention with a focus on ROI.\n\n* Lead and execute the vision for marketing analytics, defining the measurement framework, including key KPIs and funnel metrics that provide actionable insights to the management team. You will act on these results creating effective CRM campaigns, landing pages and website optimizations.\n\n* Develop, implement, and disseminate metrics/KPIs about performance and outcomes through dashboards and data visualization tool sets to monitor business health, including marketing database hygiene, performance integrity and accuracy, capturing insights and making recommendations.\n\n* Help solve key challenges, such as attribution, lead routing and follow-up, program automation, data accuracy, funnel analysis, and forecasting for all marketing motions (self-serve, partnerships, and sales-led for both new logo acquisition as well as customer growth).\n\n* Own accurate forecasting models, and consistently report on delivery against targets, including establishing templatized scorecards against the full funnel for an aligned, holistic view on Marketing performance across segments, channels, geographies and products.\n\n\n\n\n \n\nWeb experiences:\n\n\n* Lead the strategy development for the corporate website with attention to driving conversions for both sales lead conversions and product lead conversion; optimizing for increased engagement and improved visitor experience\n\n\n\n* Optimize for SEO, inclusive of site architecture, technical foundation, keyword support and editorial content\n\n* Develop high-converting web journey and personalization for prospects, customers and and partners, including reviewing and assessing content for effectiveness\n\n\n\n* Plan and implement data-driven testing and Leverage digital metrics (site traffic, visitor paths, conversion rates) to optimize and personalize web experiences to increase site to lead conversions, pipeline, and decrease time to sale\n\n* Define and drive a process for ongoing site QA, content refresh and the removal of outdated content.\n\n* Develop new ideas to drive improved program ROI and campaign performance.\n\n\n\n\n \n\nWhat youโ€™ll need:\n\n\n* 12+years experience in web management, user acquisition, and demand gen to analyze and produce marketing sourced leads and pipeline\n\n* B2B marketing leadership experience with specialization in marketing technology and operations at high-growth SaaS software companies.\n\n* Deep understanding of the sales and marketing technology landscape, with hands-on experience with marketing automation platforms, Salesforce, Marketo, Hubspot, analytical tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau). Segment experience is a plus.\n\n\n\n\n\n* Experience working with tools such as Goldcast, ON24, Drift, Chilipiper, 6sense, Pathfactory, Splash, Unbounce, ZoomInfo, TechTarget\n\n* Expertise in web analytics (Google Analytics), A/B and multivariate testing tools, content management systems (Wordpress), technical and content SEO, web QA and domain/url management\n\n* Understanding of HTML/CSS/JavaScript, UX/UI design, digital design languages, digital ADA compliance, web optimization\n\n* Oversaw the launch of at least one B2B website \n\n* Experience managing direct reports or contractors\n\n* Willing to be hands on in daily operations when needed\n\n* Your own unique talents!
