Weโre looking for high achieving full-time Software Engineers to join our engineering team. Someone who has a good understanding in web technologies and wants to help design, implement, launch, and scale major systems and user-facing features.

Regardless of fit, you will hear back from us letting you know if we'll be moving forward.
While we are excited by all the opportunities that generative AI has unlocked, we request that you refrain from relying on AI tools when completing an application. Hi, weโre CompanyCam.
We create simple-to-use, visual-first communication and accountability tools for contractors. Imagine a B2B SaaS (business-to-business software-as-a-service) app that doesnโt look like garbage, built by a team of capable, laid-back people.
But donโt let the chill throw you off; weโre a fast-growing, product-led startup with big plans for the future.
The Role
The Director of Product Design is responsible for the vision and strategy for product design and user experience at CompanyCam. This person will oversee and develop a highly-collaborative team of Product Designers to deliver on this vision and empower them to reach their full potential.
Weโre looking for the person that will champion our belief that a world-class user experience is a product differentiator that will directly impact our companyโs goals for growth.
This role will collaborate with Product Management and Engineering in our product development process to deliver impactful product updates.
In this job you will...
Analyze, design, document and communicateย the short and long-term Product Design strategy.
Create a strategic design and user experience vision based on business objectives, market trends and user feedback that will inspire.
Lead, coach and developย a team of Product Designers in delivering a world-class user experience.
Developย meaningfulย goals for the Product Design teamย individually and collectively.
Collaborate on product strategy alongside product management and engineering, considering the business and technical constraints and impacts on the end users.
Work closely with Product Management and Engineering toward meaningful product updates.
You must...
Show upย every day, taking the courage to do the difficult but necessary stuff.
Grow upย constantly: you're OK working in an environment full of change. You take responsibility, love ownership, learn continuously, and have a growth mindset.
Do goodย by treating your co-workers and customers the way you would like to be treated.

Experience leading UX strategies for people, process and product.
A track record of producing intuitive and visually appealing product experiences.
Reside permanently and currently in the United States.ย Sorry, we're not hiring outside the U.S. at this time, even if you're willing to work during U.S. time zones.
It'd be nice if you...
Have experience with launching successful apps forย B2B, B2C and/or SaaS products.
Have experience withย front-end development, pattern and component libraries.
Have experience leading workshops, design sprints and other co-design sessions.
How we work at CompanyCam:
CompanyCam is a fun, fast-paced team united by our core values ofย Show Up, Grow Up and Do Good. We trust you to do whatโs best for our product, customers, and team members and empower you to make the right calls without heavy bureaucracy.
Our product design team isย mostlyย located in Lincoln, Nebraska but across our product and engineering teams, we span every time zone in the United States. We welcome people fromย all backgroundsย and donโt really care whether you have a design degree or even a high school diploma. All that matters is that youโre good to work with and youโre great at what you do.
Our Product and Engineering departments also do things a little differently.
We use a customized version of Basecampโsย Shape Upย method (fused with empowered product teams a la Marty Cagan'sย Inspired) to organize and execute our work. We work in close-knit teams consisting of a product manager, a product designer, an engineering manager and other engineers to deliver value in 3-week cycles.
During cycles the team is focused on delivering product improvements, but everyone is also collaborating to shape (generate and vet) work for upcoming cycles. After each cycle your team will stop, reset, and choose to tackle another cycle or take aย cool-downย (a period of undirected work where youโll pursue educational opportunities, work on pet projects, or smash some bugs). Rinse and repeat.
Sounds nice, right?ย No sprinting, no scrumming, no death by 1,000 meetings. We protect our designers' time, treat them like adults, and trust them to get their work done. Weโre also big on not overworking people. Put in your eight hours of focused, quality work and then TURN. SLACK. OFF.ย No nights and weekends.
Our larger company culture is also refreshingly chill. We have fun, learn from each other, and donโt take ourselves too seriously.
We cover the important stuff too. Weย pay well,ย offerย unlimited vacation,ย meaningful equity,ย health insurance, andย other benefits.ย This is a salaried position at CompanyCam.ย Our starting salary range isย $140,000 to $150,000ย and is based on experience.ย
Ready to apply?
If you share our passion for serving our customers andย bringing truth and transparencyย to the contracting industry, weโd love to review your application!ย Are you reading this and wondering if you meetย everyย requirement? Studies show that workplace minorities, such as women and people of color, are less likely to apply for jobs unless they meet every single requirement. At CompanyCam, we pride ourselves on celebrating everyone. We are actively working on creating a diverse and inclusive work environment whereย everyone can thrive.ย If youโre interested in applying, do it! Even if your experiences donโt directly line up or you are โmissing that one thingโ. We are excited to read your application!
For any needed accommodations during the hiring process, please email [email protected].

Atย Close, we're building the sales communication platform of the future. With our roots as the very first sales CRM to include built-in calling, we're leading the industry toward eliminating manual processes and helping companies to close more deals (faster). Since our founding in 2013, we've grown to become a profitable, 100% globally distributed team of ~55 high-performing, happy people that are dedicated to building a product our customers love.
Our appโs frontend is a single-page JavaScript web app mostly written in React (originally built withย Backbone.js). We bundle with Webpack and target only modern browsers. We test with Jest and React Testing Library. Our UI updates in near real-time and is written in LESS/CSS (with flexbox and grid layout) using CSS modules and takes advantage of fun technologies like Websockets and WebRTC.ย
We care about performance (e.g. route-based code splitting), maintainability, and testability of our frontend code. We sweat the UI/UX details and work collaboratively with the Product team throughout the design process. This means diving into lo-fi Freehand wireframes, and communicating continuously when those ideas are brought to life using Figma and code.
Our frontend app is built on top of our REST API & GraphQL endpoints. Our backendย tech stackย consists of Python/Flask, MongoDB, Postgres, Elasticsearch, and Redis. We run our services in Docker on AWS.
We're looking for an experienced full-time (or part-time) Frontend Software Engineer to join our engineering team. Someone who has a solid understanding of web technologies and wants to help design, implement, and launch major user-facing features.
You should have senior level experience (~5 years) building modern frontend applications in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, with at least 3 years of that experience using React.
You should have significant experience designing, debugging, and optimizing frontend applications to make them fast and reliable. You have significant experience with REST APIs and thoroughly understand HTTP requests. You have experience participating in code reviews and providing overall code quality suggestions to help maintain the structure and quality of the codebase.
You should have great product sense and be able to think through user experience issues before diving into the code, and you exhibit a love for great UI.
Youโre comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a small and talented team where you're supported in your efforts to grow professionally. You are able to manage your time well, communicate effectively and collaborate in a fully distributed team.
You are located in an Americas time zone. Not in an Americas timezone? Take a look at our other job postingย here.
Bonus points if you have...
Experience implementing real-time (e.g. websockets, polling, etc.) web apps
Experience working with GraphQL endpoints
An eye for design and experience with Figma, Sketch, Abstract, Photoshop, or similar
Led small project teams building and launching features
Contributed open source code (core or plugins) for a popular frontend framework such as React, Vue, or Angular
Built B2B SaaS products
Experience with sales or sales tools
Come help us with projects like...
Conceiving, designing, building, and launching new user-facing features
Working with Twilio's API, WebSockets, and WebRTC to improve ourย calling features
Building user-facing analytics features that provide actionable insights based on sales activity data
At Close, everyone has a voice. We encourage transparency and practice a mature approach to the work-place. In general, we donโt have strict policies, we have guidelines. Weโre a collection of talented humans rich in diverse backgrounds, lifestyles, and cultures. Every year we meet up somewhere around the world to spend time with one another.
