As a key member of the Finance team, you will be expected to take a hands-on role in the companyโs tax matters.\n\nThe person in this role will report to the Global Head of Tax, and interact with senior management and colleagues in Accounting, FP&A, Legal and PeopleOps to identify opportunities to manage the companyโs effective tax rate, sharing of best practices, and standardization of processes and reporting.\nOther responsibilities include:\n\n\nPreparation of international, federal and state tax returns, quarterly estimates and annual extensions\n\nPreparation of GST and VAT returns\n\nAssisting with calculation and review of the companyโs tax provision \n\nIntegrating tax compliance and provision software and systems\n\nManaging any tax audits\n\nManaging the preparation of the R&D tax credit study\n\nManaging the transfer pricing policy and process\n\nAssisting with tax planning strategies\n\nPerforming research, coordinating special projects and advising management regarding the tax impact of potential transactions\n\nEnsuring the companyโs compliance with all accounting policies \n\nSupporting corporate structuring projects to support global growth\n\nAutomating the compliance and provision process where practicable\n\n\n\nMinimum Education\n\n\nBachelorโs Degree in Accounting\n\nCPA \n\nJD or Masters in Taxation preferred\n\n\n\nMinimum Type Of Experience The Job Requires\n\n\nMinimum of 10 years of tax experience with a Big Four Accounting firm or a combination of Big 4 and private industry tax experience\n\n\n\nOther\n\n\nSelf-starter required\n\nExperience with CorpTax preferred\n\nExperience with financial services or emerging technology companies preferred\n\nExperience with digital assets preferred\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\n\nStrong operational and systems acumen\n\nStrong attention to detail \n\n\n\n\n#LI-Remote\n\n#LI-BS1\nWhatโs it like to work at Protocol Labs?\n \nProtocol Labs' mission is to improve humanityโs most important technology, the Internet.
