We are a small team working to accelerate the deployment of emerging technology into national security use-cases. We are seeking technical professionals who want to operate on the front lines of an exciting and disruptive mission.\n\n\nAs a Senior Software Engineer on the Platform for Second Front Systems, we’ll expect you to develop and deliver high quality software. This role will focus on delivering solutions for our Federal customers. Highly desired candidates have existing security clearance.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRESPONSIBILITIES\n* Work with a distributed team on both the front and back end of our cloud-based platform\n* Agile development: writing, reviewing, maintaining, testing, and deploying code\n* Develop integrations with other applications and systems within our cloud ecosystem\n* Communicate with end-users, third-party partners, UX designers, product managers and company leadership to keep key stakeholders informed about the development of our cloud platform\n* Participate in code reviews, mentor others, and evangelize best coding practices\n* Design and implement architecture based on product and feature requirements\n* Navigate and maintain productive and authentic relations with Second Front’s customers and cloud-operations, growth, and executive teams\n\n\n\nREQUIREMENTS\n* Experience in Go strongly preferred\n* Significant Software Engineering experience with problem solving and troubleshooting skills\n* Experience with the full product development lifecycle\n* Proven ability to break down complex problems and discover, diagnose, and fix any bugs or issues\n* Understanding of systems development concepts (i.e. REST APIs, Authentication, Event driven architectures)\n* Strong understanding of microservices\n* Ability to work independently and collaborate with the team members in a remote environment\n* Ability to adopt, create and iterate on changing procedures\n* Passionate about the software engineering craft\n* Active security clearance or ability to obtain a Secret-level security clearance required\n\n\n\nTECHNOLOGIES WE USE\n* Prevalent languages we use are: Golang, Rust, Typescript, and Python\n* Object Storage(Google Cloud Storage/AWS S3), Relational Storage(Postgres, MySQL, RDS, Cloud SQL)\n* AWS/GCP\n* Kubernetes\n* CNCF tooling (Flux, ArgoCD, Tekton, etc)\n* Pulumi\n* Git/Gitlab/Gitea\n\n\n\n\n$142,000 - $195,000 a year\n\nPERKS & BENEFITS\nThis is a full-time role.
