\nAbout this role\n\nThe Discovery pillarโs core mission is to make it easy and delightful for retailers to find brands and products their customers will love. This role will own the product development of our recommendations team, whose mandate is to help retailers through contextual and personalized experiences. The recommendations team owns Faireโs homepage, and recommendation modules, and, given its recent success, is set to incubate a number of new personalized experiences. \n\nWhat youโll do \n\n\n* Become an expert on the retailer problems of finding brands and products that meet their needs, and the opportunity surrounding them\n\n* Partner with the cross-functional team to craft impactful user experiences that retailers love \n\n* Collaborate with our personalization team to specify and develop algorithms that will plug into these delightful experiences \n\n* Deeply understand the roadmaps of adjacent Discovery pods to streamline the user experience and identify opportunities for collaboration\n\n* Evaluate tradeoffs between solutions across user experience, velocity, and modularity \n\n* Work with and learn from a broad range of world-class leaders across engineering, product management, data science, design, and operations\n\n* Make decisions alongside company founders and the CEO \n\n* Empower small businesses around the world to chase their dreams and invest in their local communities\n\n\n\n\nQualifications\n\n\n* Bachelorโs degree or equivalent experience.\n\n* You have 4+ years of experience in product at a high-growth tech startup or as a startup founder.\n\n* You have experience building high-scale products through state-of-the-art design, engineering, and data science. \n\n* You have used ML/AI to solve business problems.\n\n* Youโre an extraordinarily fast learner. You have the natural curiosity and intellectual horsepower to deeply understand new topics and pick up new skills in a very short time.\n\n* You are relentlessly resourceful. When something needs to get done, you always find a way to make it happen. Even when the work is hard, you power through it and execute with limited information and ambiguity.\n\n* You are a creative problem-solver. Actual base pay will be determined based on permissible factors such as transferable skills, work experience, market demands, and primary work location.
