\nBuilding with the latest tools, our Machine Learning teams launch for Silicon Valley startups and Life Science giants alike.\n\nJoin Loka to work remotely, ship projects you’re proud of and enjoy every other Friday off.\n\nThe Role\n\n\n* Understand business objectives and develop models that help achieve them, plus metrics to track their progress.\n\n* Design and implement complex ML systems using classical ML, DL and Foundation Models and following best practices.\n\n* Lead client communications by gathering requirements, managing expectations and communicating deliverables.\n\n* Wrangle, explore and visualize data with a careful eye for issues that require data cleaning as well as differences in data distribution that may affect performance after deployment.\n\n* Analyze model errors; design strategies to overcome them.\n\n* Deploy, maintain and upgrade ML models and pipelines.\n\n* Follow Loka’s career track for growth by demonstrating technical excellence, innovation, autonomy, ownership, communication and teamwork.\n\n\n\n\nThe Benefits\n\n\n* Every other Friday off (26 extra days off a year!)\n\n* LokaLabs incubator\n\n* Explore and Relocation programs (three months work abroad or full international relo)\n\n* Remote and flexible\n\n* Paid sick days and local holidays\n\n* Fitness subscription\n\n\n\n\nThe Required Hard Skills\n\n\n* 4+ years of ML engineering experience\n\n* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related\n\n* Proficient in English\n\n* Experience with Python, ML libraries and AI/ML frameworks (PyTorch, HuggingFace, TensorFlow, Keras, Scikit-learn, Spark etc.)\n\n* Strong understanding of statistical, ML and deep learning algorithms (candidates with NLP experience preferred)\n\n* Experience building GenAI solutions including prompt engineering (e.g: Langchain), fine-tuning and serving LLMs, search and embeddings, etc.\n\n* Experience with MLOps, preferably in AWS (e.g: Sagemaker), as well as standards tools (e.g. MLFlow)\n\n* Experience visualizing and manipulating big datasets\n\n* Client-facing experience\n\n* Clean criminal record\n\n\n\n\nThe Required Soft Skills\n\n\n* Curiosity—Ambition to learn and grow into different industries with a modern tech stack\n\n* Autonomy and positivity—We’re a fully remote, globally distributed team\n\n* Teamwork—Enjoy a collaborative approach\n\n* Adaptability—Operate with a startup mindset and move at a startup pace\n\n\n\n\n \n\nPlease submit your CV in English. \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
