Remote Sales Development Representative

You don’t need years of experience—we’ll teach you the tools, techniques, and strategies. What we do need is energy, curiosity, and the drive to learn.\n\n\nAs an SDR at Heron, you’ll be on the front lines reaching out to potential customers, learning the ropes of fintech sales, and helping us grow our impact across the lending industry.\n\n\nThis role is full time, preferably located in the Bay Area. Open to remote for the right candidate.\n\n\n\nWhat you’ll be doing (i.e. job duties):\n* Research and identify potential small RIA clients\n* Reach out to prospects via email, phone, and LinkedIn to introduce Heron\n* Qualify leads and set up meetings for the Business Development Manager\n* Learn how to use tools like our CRM, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and more\n* Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to improve outreach strategy\n* Gain hands-on experience in sales while learning about fintech\n\n\n\nWhat we look for in you (i.e. job requirements):\n* 2+ Years of relevant fintech or financial products sales experience\n* Series 7 License Required \n* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience \n* Strong written and verbal communication skills\n* Positive attitude, high energy, and a desire to learn\n* Comfortable reaching out to new people and starting conversations\n* Organized and reliable with good time management\n* Interest in startups, technology, and/or financial services\n* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience \n\n\n\nNice to Haves\n* Internship or work experience in sales, customer service, or marketing\n* Familiarity with CRMs like HubSpot or Salesforce\n* Interest in fintech, small business lending, or SaaS\n\n\n\nWhy Join Heron?\n* Competitive salary and equity package\n* Health, dental, and vision insurance\n* Flexible remote work culture\n* Team offsites 2-3 times a year\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe aim to hire great people from a wide variety of backgrounds - not just because it’s the right thing to do, but because it makes our company stronger.
