Remote Graphics Programmer

In July 2021 Nixxes joined PlayStation Studios to focus on delivering the highest-quality gameplay experiences for PlayStation fans. \n\n \n\nGraphics Programmer \n\nFor our studio in Utrecht, the Netherlands, we are looking for a highly collaborative, passionate and skilled Graphics Programmer to support our graphics programming team. In this role, you will implement high-level graphical effects as well as low-level enhancements to the graphics engines we work with to enable and optimize them. \n\n \n\nResponsibilities: \n\n\n* Designing and writing well-structured, readable and maintainable code\n\n* Playing a key role in a team working on a large code base\n\n* Working with state of the art graphics and lighting techniques\n\n* Debug and pragmatically solve various development problems\n\n\n\n\n \n\nEssential Requirements: \n\n\n* A minimum of 3 years of previous experience as a programmer in the games industry or a related industry\n\n* Up-to-date knowledge of current APIs such as DirectX 11/12 and OpenGL 4.x and Vulkan\n\n* Profound understanding of state of the art graphics and lighting techniques\n\n* A solid background in mathematics\n\n* Fluency in C++ and other applicable programming languages\n\n* Strong understanding of optimization techniques\n\n* Thorough understanding of code performance and complexity\n\n* Ability to work well in a deadline and milestone driven environment \n\n* Good communication skills in written and spoken English\n\n* Must live in the Netherlands, this is not a remote role\n\n\n\n\n \n\nPlusses: \n\n\n* (Native) Dutch speaker\n\n\n\n\n
