Remote GPSU Cybersecurity Fall Internship
\nAs an intern at GuidePoint Security, you will work closely with industry-leading subject matter experts to provide first-class cyber security services. Interns will complete in-house training programs, while working on projects to enhance their security knowledge and skills. Interns will gain experience through: \n\n\nHands-On Technical Development\n\nReal-World Security Response\n\nCollaborative Project Work\n\nTeam and Position Shadowing\n\nPartner-led Vendor Training and Certifications\n\n\n\n\n \nAre you a good fit for the role?\nWe are looking for candidates eager to begin their journey within the security industry. An ideal candidate will:\n\n\n* Have a basic understanding of information technology, networking, operating systems and security\n\n* Have a genuine passion for information security\n\n* Be motivated and eager to learn new skills\n\n* Have demonstrated efforts toward entering cybersecurity, which may include: \n\n\n* Obtaining certifications\n\n* Attending trainings\n\n* Pursuing a formal education\n\n* Participating in industry organizations\n\n* Contributing to personal or industry projects\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\nInternship Details and Expectations:\nThis is a part-time, remote paid internship that is offered as part of a GPSU cohort running from Sept 3 - Nov 27, 2024. Interns are expected to:\n\nWork between the hours of 11am-4pm EST Monday through Friday\n\nHave a personal computing device and access to high-speed internet during working hours \n\n\n\n\nWhile the internship does allow flexible hours, interns will often be required to attend trainings and shadowing opportunities between the hours of 11am - 4pm EST, Monday - Friday. It is vital for the intern's development to attend these events, so we can only accept candidates who are available during these hours.
