We are seeking a highly skilled Functional Safety Engineer with experience in CPU IP, SoC design and ML/AI HW accelerators to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in ISO26262 compliance, safety analysis methodologies, and semiconductor functional safety. \n\n*This role is hybrid or remote based out of, Austin, Toronto or Boston or remote. \n\n \n\nResponsibilities:\n\n\n* Execution of safety-related activities such as assumption of use, safety requirements development, and safety validation and verification.\n\n* Conduct safety analysis for CPU IP, SoC devices and ML/AI HW accelerators used in automotive applications.\n\n* Create customer facing documentation such as safety manuals, demos, and marketing material\n\n* Execute processes, template, checklist and guideline to ensure compliance with ISO 26262\n\n* Work with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards in product designs.\n\n* Provide functional safety expertise to internal teams and external customers as required.\n\n\n\n\n \n\nExperience & Qualifications:\n\n\n* Experience driving the ISO26262 product full certification, preferably for ADAS or autonomous driving applications.\n\n* At least 5 years of functional safety experience related to CPU IP, SoC design and ML/AI HW accelerators for automotive applications.\n\n* Experience with safety analysis methodologies such as FMEDA, FTA, DFA\n\n* Excellent communication, technical writing and interpersonal skills.\n\n* Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.\n\n* Strong project management skills.\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\nCompensation for all engineers at Tenstorrent ranges from $100k - $500k including base and variable compensation targets.
