We'll provide the training, lesson plans, and tools to support you on your journey of impacting lives in the classroom.\n\nSkills & Requirements\n\n\n* Must reside in the United Kingdom\n\n3+ years of Front-end programming languages and frameworks such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Responsive Design, Bootstrap, Handlebars (or any templating framework), ReactJS\n\nExperience in Web Development & Working with databases, server-side languages and libraries like MongoDB, MySQL, Node, Express and ORMs is highly desired\n\nStrong background or work experience in computer programming or web development field\n\nBachelor's Degree is highly preferred, but not required\n\nExperience with version control (Git, Github) and deployment servers such as Nestify\n\nFriendly, approachable personality and foster engagement among students.\n\nExcellent presentation and both written and oral communication skills\n\n\n\n\nWhat You Will Do:\n\n\nLead online lectures following a detailed lesson plan that includes an active discussion environment and project-based learning.\n\nBring the learning experience to life by building community and enhancing relevance by drawing on your own industry experience.\n\nTranslate complex subject matter in a clear and concise manner for a diverse range of learners or skill levels.\n\nProvide support and encouragement to students as they go through a life-changing experience.\n\nCreate an engaging, positive, and inclusive learning environment for our students.\n\nIncrease participant engagement using di๏ฌerent facilitation tactics.\n\nGuide large and small groups of learners in an empathetic manner.\n\nAmplify student satisfaction by creating a positive classroom culture, communicating timely with students and leveraging effective interventions and sharing of resources\n\n\n\n\nLogistics:\n\n\n16-week program (this is a part-time commitment)\n\nTues/Wed/Thurs 9-12 PM (EST) OR Tues/Wed/Thurs 1-4 PM (EST)\n\n\n\n\nClasses are taught online:\n\n\nMust have a laptop, camera, at least one additional monitor, microphone / headset, and reliable internet access.\n\nExperience with Zoom video conferencing preferred.\n\n\n\n\nOther Perks:\n\n\nMaintain your current career while teaching\n\n20% Discount on 2U Short Courses\n\nHone your own skills by teaching and mentoring others\n\nExpand your network by joining the thousands of industry professionals who make up our Instructional Staff\n\nExperience the gratitude and fulfillment that comes along with teaching and giving back to the tech community\n\n\n\n\nHourly salary only: In Colorado, the anticipated hourly salary for this role is $40.03 - $43.11/hr.
