You will be responsible for the design of equipment from the initial circuit and mechanical concepts through release to manufacturing. This position ensures that designs meet product specifications, as well as R&D design standards, and provides technical support on products already in production. You need to work independently, with little supervision and have the ability to take a lead role on complex projects that require multiple engineers.\n\nAbout the Job:\n\n\n* Design, analyze, construct and evaluate electronic audio circuits, ensuring that all design standards and product requirements are maintained.\n\n* Devise solutions to technical problems that arise in products in development and production, including safety and EMC compliance. Create engineering change notices as necessary.\n\n* Use tools such as PCB layout software, schematic capture software, circuit simulation software, etc.to create and improve product designs.\n\n* Work with project managers to define project schedules for hardware tasks. Keep project tasks on schedule and help find solutions to mitigate unexpected delays.\n\n* Work with product development team to integrate analog elements with other parts of the product design.\n\n* Assure manufacturability and provide technical support on products as they move to production. \n\n\n\n\nWhat you Need:\n\n\n* BSEE/BSET or equivalent is required.\n\n* 4+ years of experience in related electronics design.\n\n* Music and/or audio background preferred. \n\n* Advanced design, analysis, and debugging skills sufficient to design electronic circuits for audio products.\n\n* Proficiency with analog audio design, including tube-, discrete- and op-amp circuits. Must be familiar with best design practices for low noise and high-quality audio.\n\n* Basic knowledge of general linear and non-linear amplifying device characteristics.\n\n* Familiar with PCB Layout practices for low noise and reliability.\n\n* Experience with thermal design.\n\n* Experience constructing proof of concept prototypes.\n\n* Experience with electro-mechanical design and design for manufacturing principles.\n\n* Proficiency with electronics test equipment for verification and design documentation.\n\n* Ability to construct electronic circuits using basic tools.
