National Football League (NFL) is hiring a
Remote Director Investigations and Security Services
\n\nOverview /Objective\n\nThe Director of Investigations and Security Services will be responsible for managing investigations, special event and game day security, as well as game integrity and fan conduct programs within an assigned geographical area.\n\nThe Director will also be responsible for managing relationships with contract security representatives covering specific geographic regions of the country. S/he will serve as the operational manager for all matters relating to the implementation and compliance with the NFL Security Department's policies covering; physical security/Safety Act Compliance, investigations, and special event planning and management within an assigned region. S/he will also be responsible for identifying and developing security programs and overseeing investigations to protect the most valuable assets of the NFL. In addition to internal coordination, the Director must work effectively with international, federal, state, and local law enforcement entities to ensure the safety of the NFL's venues, fans, players, staff, and infrastructure. The position requires constant high-level coordination with NFL executive staff, club ownership, and stadium management.\n\nResponsibilities\n\n\n* Identify, supervise, and manage detailed and complex investigations involving alleged impropriety or criminal conduct\n\n* Assign and manage investigative tasks performed by security representatives; review and approve detailed investigative reports\n\n* Conduct detailed due diligence background investigations as a part of the vendor selection process and on an ad hoc basis\n\n* Conduct detailed preโemployment background investigations related to social media\n\n\n\n\n\n* Assist with planning, coordinating, and managing complex security plans for large special events both domestically and internationally\n\n* Partner with NFL Clubs to review and provide security plans, where necessary.\n\n* Manage key proactive security programs to include "Best Practices" for Stadium Security, Fan Conduct and Fair Competition Initiatives to ensure programs remain relevant and effective\n\n* Develop and manage emergency and business continuity planning\n\n* Assist with preparation and presentations at executive level briefings\n\n* Collaborate and coordinate security matters with Hollywood Park and SoFi Stadium authorities.\n\n* Support, plan, and provide security for offsite and remote production as needed\n\n\n\n\n\n* Other department administration, as assigned by Chief Security Officer\n\n* The Director will have direct supervisory responsibilities for independent contractors and possibly full-time employees.\n\n\n\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\n\n* Bachelorโs degree from an accredited four-year college or university or at least 10 years of experience in law enforcement or related field with at least 2 years of management experience\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\n\n* Advanced Degree (Masterโs or JD)\n\n* Prior work experience in security planning for large special events, dignitary protection, intelligence or counterterrorism\n\n\n\n\nOther Key Attributes / Characteristics\n\n\n* Demonstrated expertise in conducting complex and varied criminal investigations to include, but not limited to, financial crimes, crimes of violence, gambling offenses, weapons offenses and drug and alcohol-related offenses\n\n* Expertise in both civil and criminal judicial processes, to include rules of evidence, prosecutorial determinations, court proceedings and civil lawsuits\n\n* Strong background in intelligence gathering, to include familiarity and use of online resources, subscription services and public record checks\n\n* Proven track record as a strong communicator โ written and oral presentations, capable of rapidly providing detailed, yet concise, written reports\n\n* Extensive network of law enforcement contacts at the local, state and federal level\n\n* Familiarity with current social media and its usage\n\n* Proficiency in the use of investigative databases\n\n* Expertise in Word, Excel and PowerPoint\n\n* Must be able to deal effectively with people at all levels of internal and external organizations\n\n* Strong analytical skills\n\n* Exceptional organizational skills\n\n\n\n\nPhysical Demands\n\n\n* Role requires long periods of standing, climbing stairs and walking in connection with NFL game and stadium operations and special events.\n\n\n\n\nTravel\n\n\n* Travel both domestically and internationally is required for this position. While frequency and duration of travel will vary throughout the year, applicants should anticipate approximately 40%-50% travel.\n\n\n\n\nTerms / Expected Hours of Work\n\n\n* FSLA Exempt\n\n* NFL employees are required to work 40 hours per week.\n\n* This a full-time position, where travel and weekend work will be required.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSalary / Pay Range\n\nThis job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of salaries or hourly rates that the NFL believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job in the location(s) specified.
