Remote Controls & Systems Engineer
\nPosition Summary\n\n\n* We are seeking a self-driven and passionate individual to join our engineering team to deliver zero-carbon industrial heat and power with our novel solid state thermal battery. The Sr. Controls and Software Engineer is responsible for managing the hands-on integration of the control system and software used on both the TES and balance of plant systems.\n\n* The Sr. Controls & Systems Engineer role is a full-time, site-based position.\n\n\n\n\nRoles & Responsibilities\n\n\n* Architect, design, and modify PLC and SCADA software for use in our TES and balance of plant systems.\n\n* Take ownership of PLC software and SCADA software over specific projects and/or systems and drive it to implementation.\n\n* Develop test plans, check tools, and QA procedures for the software.\n\n* Write and take ownership of the Process Control Narratives, Cause and Effect Diagrams, State Diagrams, and Controls Operations Manuals.\n\n* Provide onsite and remote support for logic related issues in commissioning and upgrading.\n\n* Design and Commission upgrade and modification projects for existing sites.\n\n\n\n\nKey Qualifications\n\n\n* Bachelors or equivalent in an engineering field (e.g. mechanical, industrial, process, electrical, software, automation etc.) and/or 3+ years’ experience in industrial applications (oil & gas, chemicals, power plants, etc.) with control systems (PLC, HMI, SCADA) and instrumentation.\n\n* Commissioning experience such as developing and performing ITP, Loop Checkouts, FAT & SAT.\n\n* Able to modify PLC and SCADA software deployed at sites\n\n* Familiarity with communications protocols such as Modbus, CAN bus, Ethernet/IP, Profinet\n\n* Able to read electrical schematics, and make red-lines as required.\n\n* Hands on experience with devices Motor Starters, VFDs, SCRs, valves and instrumentation like RTDs, Thermocouples and Transmitters\n\n\n\n\nAdditional Qualifications Desired (“nice to have” but not required)\n\n\n* Experience with processes engineering of systems like Combined Heat and Power Plants, Boilers, Steam Generators and High Temperature Fluid loops.\n\n* Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs.\n\n* Experience with Ignition SCADA.\n\n* Experience with Python, VBA, C++, SQL\n\n\n\n\n \n\nWork Location: Onsite - San Jose, CA\n\nSalary Range: $154,000 USD - $220,000 USD\n\nSalary Basis: Annual\n\nThis job posting contains the salary range that Antora Energy believes it would be willing to pay for the posted job.
