We ship code daily, A/B test extensively, and have a primary role in creating the product from inception to implementation. There’s much to do, and you’ll be responsible for making some real cool stuff happen.\n\nOur APIs, internal services, and web app are at the core of our stable of software that’s reinventing mobility. Be a member of a growing team of talented engineers and designers and play a major role in shaping an exciting app that’s changing how people travel and think about car ownership.\n\nLearn more about our Engineering team here: https://www.beforeyouapply.com/team/engineering-at-turo\n\nWhat you will do:\n\n\nUse the latest technologies to enable a first-class experience for a consumer marketplace. e.g. SpringBoot/Hibernate, JUnit, Mokito, Github, MySQL, GraphQL, Docker, msvc & monolithic architectures, Kotlin \n\nProduce high-quality maintainable code, test it, collaboratively review it, and ship it.\n\nCollaborate extensively with product managers, designers, and engineers to develop product features that drive our metrics.\n\nWork efficiently in a constantly changing and growing environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are desired.\n\n\n\n\nYour profile:\n\n\nYou are a strong communicator; explaining technical concepts and trade-offs to product managers, designers, and engineers is exciting to you.\n\nYou enjoy solving problems and helping others meet their goals.\n\nYour education has honed strong computer science fundamental skills in software engineering, data structures, algorithms, database concepts, distributed systems and search, and you’re ready to take those skills to the next level, building software in a professional setting.\n\n\n\n\nBonus if you have:\n\n\nFluent in at least one language - e.g., Java, Kotlin, Python, Ruby, Go, or C\n\nBachelor's/Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field\n\n\n\n\nThe SF base salary target range for this full-time position is $114,000-$143,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in San Francisco, CA. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
