EEme is looking for a design/UX-oriented software engineer to lead its product development and management efforts around its Consumer and Utility platforms.\nEEme, an energy analytics spin-out from Carnegie Mellon University, converts big data into actionable business intelligence for energy efficiency (EE) stakeholders, including electric utilities, 3rd party EE program administrators, home improvement product and service providers, financiers, and residential users. Through its proven state-of-the-art โvirtual home energy auditโ approach constructed by its team of PhDโs, EEme quantifies how much a given home can save on their energy bills through different EE improvements, without relying on user input or new hardware.\nEEme launched its Consumer portal with a California utility in spring of 2014 and is currently leading engagements with U.S. Department of Defense and a TX-based energy company. EEme is looking for entrepreneurially-minded professionals to grow its team and expand its services to other regions in the U.S.\n\nRequired qualifications:\nยท Master's degree in computer science discipline, or equivalent, or ample real-world experience\nยท Excellent written and spoken English communication skills\nยท Solid software development and relational database design fundamentals\nยท 2+ years professional web development experience with a modern web framework like Rails\n \nWhat you will experience on the Job:\nยท Experience building and maintaining a large-scale, high-availability web application with an active and growing user base\nยท Experience collaborative software development on distributed version control framework with Git \nยท Experience designing and implementing RESTful web service APIs\nยท Expertise integrating real-time sensor data, state-of the-art smart-meter-based algorithms, dynamic server-side web technologies \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
