The Role:\nThe Director of Business Development must provide leadership to position the firm as a leading performance-driven marketing agency. ย This individual will serve as the visible lead manager of the business to drive sales from new clients and business partners.\n\nScope:\n- Annual sales quota is approximately $1.5M.\n- Develop and oversee sales plans.\n- Help construct client account teams.\n- Run weekly reports to analyze performance and update forecasts as needed.\n\nSkills / Abilities/ Knowledge:\n- Proven, visible, open, and engaging leadership style.\n- Proven experience designing and executing complex business strategies.\n- Ability to work in a flat organization.\n- Strong familiarity with target markets and familiarity with agency business models.\n- Must possess the highest caliber organizational, planning, and supervising skills.\n- Be proficient and experienced in developing comprehensive reports.\n- Must be decisive and able to make timely, yet informed, sound business decisions.\n- Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills and be a clear, strategic thinker.\n- Ability to uphold the highest ethical standards. ย \n- Strong business acumen and financial savvy.\n- Results-driven but not at the expense of company values.\n- Effective, professional negotiation skills.\n\nExperience / Education:\n- BS/BA degree in Business; Masterโs degree is highly preferred.\n- A minimum of 7-10 yearsโ experience in service-based sales with demonstrated success selling a complex product or solution offering.\n- Experience with account management and selling complex business solutions to small and medium-sized businesses with multiple decisions makers.\n- Experience preferred in one of more of the following: marketing agency, collaborative applications, SaaS business models, or marketing integration tools.\n- Excellent oral and written communication skills.\n\nCompensation: $175,000 - $225,000\n\nStart up or early stage company experience preferred\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
