Along with esports-related products, you will play an integral role in building community-centric features impacting millions of users every month.\n\nThe Ideal Candidate\n\nGfinity Digital Media is a rapidly growing network of publishing led websites that reach millions of readers every month. An ideal candidate has extensive experience working for publishing websites in the past in a small team of designers and engineers, with a strong desire to tackle difficult-to-solve problems. You’ve also spent some time keeping up with Google search algorithm updates to understand how they impact the search visibility of websites. You’re analytical and love measuring the performance, SEO, and revenue impacts of the changes rolled out to websites. While spending time writing front-ends in javascript languages such as Vue or React, you’re no stranger to PHP and MySQL and have likely built sites using both.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nWork closely with our product team to elevate the design and functionality of our digital media properties\nParticipate in product development discussions to help determine feature scope, prioritization, and feasibility\nWork closely with our design team to translate Figma designs into working, production-ready experiences\nPlay a core role in the acquisition and migration of future digital media properties\nDevelop customizations for Sanity.io CMS using React\nWrite reusable libraries and modules for use across our digital network\nOptimize sites for performance and SEO\nOptimize delivery of in-page advertisements and media\nMentor and help lead other developers\n\nKey Qualifications\n\n5+ years of professional full-stack development experience\nA bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, a related IT field, or equivalent work experience\nExtensive experience working with publishing-led websites\nExtensive working knowledge of the intricacies of technical SEO\nExpert knowledge of JavaScript, classes, and component composition\nKnowledge of PHP and MySql or other database technologies\nExpert knowledge of object-oriented principles\nExtensive experience working with Vue or other javascript frameworks\nFamiliarity with Webpack and NPM\nExtensive knowledge of cross-browser compatibility issues\nExpertise in code versioning software such as GIT\nFluency in English\nMotivated, eager to learn, and grow with the company\nExperience working independently\nExtremely detail-oriented\nExcellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a small team\nBonuses\n\nExperience working with WordPress\nExperience with the PHP Symfony 4 framework\nExperience contributing to open-source projects, even if they are your own\nExperience developing cross-platform apps for desktop, web, and mobile\nA love for gaming and esports!\nLet us know what you love about development and why you would make a great addition to the Gfinity team.\n\nWe are striving to create a diverse and inclusive environment.
