About The Opportunity
The Principal Service Consultant guides the overall design and delivery of the Ceridian HCM solution to meet customer requirements and provides oversight and direction to project team members in the execution of project activities in all stages of the implementation lifecycle (planning, discovery, design, configuration, testing, deployment, post go-live support). Growing podcast listenership: With more than 1.5 million downloads to date, Socialette podcast is by no means a small show. It's our primary channel for sharing free content that—to paraphrase one listener—changes lives. You will brainstorm podcast topics with Steph, plan the content calendar and use your marketing magic to get each episode in front of as many of the right people as possible.
Launching a new membership program: This one is still under wraps (shh!) but we're planning to open doors in early 2023. In your first few months with us, you will work closely with Steph to develop the launch strategy and execute the launch marketing campaign, including creating organic social content, and executing paid social and SEM campaigns.
Increasing sales of our self-paced courses: We have two courses that can be purchased and completed at any time, but we haven't had much time to market them. You will generate fresh ideas for marketing these products, measure and track the analytics, and spot opportunities to optimise every step of the sales funnel.
Executing launch campaigns for our cohort-based course: We have a 12-week course that we launch and run twice a year. You will be working year-round to grow our email list and social media audiences with the right people for this course. Twice per year, you will work closely with Steph on the launch strategy and campaign execution.
Building brand visibility: We operate in a crowded market. Social media is noisy. Paid traffic is becoming more and more expensive. Having a human as the face of our brand gives us an advantage, and part of your role is to help grow the visibility of the Steph Taylor brand. This leader will guide the engineering team to deliver the data models, APIs, and data required for product teams to create delightful, personalized experiences for our members. As the Staff Engineer, you will grow our business by helping a team of engineers build and ship great code, focusing specifically on a new product initiative at the intersection of user experience, product design, analytics, experimentation, and data warehousing.\n\nAs a Staff Engineer for this team you will:\n\n\n* Provide technical leadership to your engineering team, including technical direction setting, coaching, and architectural mentorship\n\n* Deliver new data-powered features to provide an intuitive experience\n\n* Be an advocate for new technologies, methods, and approaches to solving problems and achieving product goals\n\n* Be a core part of our technical design process\n\n* Fully understand user requirements and pain points to help solve them\n\n* Identify, study, and improve performance bottlenecks\n\n* Generate experiments, test them with production users, analyze, repeat\n\n* Build a culture of shipping great products\n\n* Build a culture of data driven experiences\n\n* Be accountable for and take ownership of your product\n\n\n\nYOUR PROFILE\n\n\n* At least 2 years experience in a technical leadership position\n\n* Hands-on experience with architecture and problem solving\n\n* You have designed systems that are used in large scale production environments\n\n* Experience mentoring junior to senior software engineers\n\n* Excellent technical skills and relevant experience with Javascript development (bonus: Typescript experience)\n\n* Experience building APIs via REST and JSON (bonus: with NodeJS)\n\n* Experience with web application development frameworks and tools like React, Express, Babel, Webpack, etc.\n\n* Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure\n\n* Experience with a variety of data stores and designing suitable data models\n\n* You can lead highly complex programming tasks and provide code reviews for your team\n\n* You can provide analysis of complex problems and recommend solutions\n\n* You have a computer science degree or relevant professional experience\n\n* You have an excellent command of English, both written and verbal\n\n* You have a bias for action\n\n\n\n\n#LI-Remote #LI-MB1 \n\n#Salary and compensation\n

Role & Responsibilities

Design, develop and operate a full suite of microservices
Actively participate in agile software development environment

Create architecture requirements and recommendations
